My wife purchased a Gotcha! Tag and registered it. When I try to scan it will not work. At all. I thought it may need some time to activate so I waited a week. It still won’t work. I thought that maybe the registration didn’t work so I created a new account and tried to register it, but it had already been registered. I now believe the company is a complete fraud.
First it couldn’t understand when I clicked that my pet was a dog now it won’t read the scanner at all. Waste of money. Don’t buy the collar, will be returning.
Geolocation service doesn’t work
It was so bad. We couldn’t even get the location of the dog. It was terrible, not useful at ALL!
I’m disappointed I can’t get GotchaLostFoundApp to open. I get the orange screen and nothing more. So I can’t register my dog and now stuck.
Registered my account, then reopened GotchaLostFoundApp and it won’t work. Like I just get the orange Home Screen for when GotchaLostFoundApp opens and that’s it!!! Such a waste
GotchaLostFoundApp wouldn’t let me login - I changed my password twice and still kept getting “Couldn’t log into account” message.
Did they completely give up on GotchaLostFoundApp? I can’t even get far enough to register an account. Sad. I was pretty excited about the smart tag):
I bought EXPENSIVE collars for my cat and dog and GotchaLostFoundApp won’t even scan the tag. Great idea but lousy implementation and doesn’t appear they are working on it. No customer service to resolve the issue either.
GotchaLostFoundApp is incredibly slow for 2024 technology. It also won’t let you edit your email address which is unfortunate because I accidentally mistyped mine.

When I first got my kitten I bought this tag for her but she was too small to wear the collar. Now that it finally fits I tried to see if the scan would work and it did not! When scanning on camera and on GotchaLostFoundApp nothing comes up.
It’s a great concept but pretty useless if GotchaLostFoundApp can’t even scan the tag to register my dog. I paid more than I usually would for this specific collar and leash just for this feature and yet it doesn’t even work. Will be returning.
Don’t waste your time or money. I have registered had all my info in and worked fine at first. Now the tag doesn’t pull anything up. Says it hadn’t been registered. Even though I have emails that say it was. Try to re-register and it doesn’t work. Thank god I didn’t rely on this collar incase something happened.
I tried to register for three days. Kept getting a spinning wheel that lasted over 30 mins each until I finally gave up. Went on their website and registered there, then went back to GotchaLostFoundApp to sign in and my email wasn’t found. I purchased two of these and they are useless along with their customer service. I have requested help twice just to be ignored. I will find another way to track my pets. I hope I can get my money back
Just trying to sign up. First it didn’t recognize my password so I had to reset it. Now I can’t add my pet because I can’t get past the add pets name, then select cat/dog! It doesn’t matter if you select cat or dog it STILL flashes “select a species” but doesn’t go any farther! I thought maybe it will accept it if I just say she is a cat instead and I can go back and update her profile to dog but nothing works! Pretty useless if you can’t even register your pet. I assume the way it’s supposed to work (based on their example) is once you select dog or cat then a species list should come up but it doesn’t??

After much hassle I finally got a registration to take and all my data input properly. However when I test it by scanning the tag it apparently doesn’t report back to the company that a scan has happened. The location link to Google map doesn’t really do anything. Fortunately if someone finds my service dog now at least they can scan and get the information to contact me directly. A heck of a lot of work and expense when it doesn’t really do much more than the metal tag with my phone number on it. Oh - and the collar that the tag was originally attached to broke. The tag was attached by a tiny bit of rubber or plastic that didn’t survive the first test. Bought a new, better collar of a different brand.
App is slow and needs improvement.
It so hard to scan as the pet owner and the person who finds your pet( and that’s the scary part if your pet is lost) multiple attempts before it took and the same for the trial run where a friend scanned my pet QR. However that being said, if it all gets in, it works. The info, the location detection was right on! Why is dachshund not a pet choice in the list??
I love the idea of QR codes! GotchaLostFoundApp works just fine to me, no issues at all.
