I have been using Tably for about a year. My question is: my cat is Norwegian Forest Cat, so his facial features are a bit different from those of an American Shorthair. I first got a positive result when I used the app, then in January I got negative result. I took the cat to different vets, had him checked out for many possible diseases but the vets didn't find anything wrong with him. He has been eating, seems relaxed all the time and doesn't exhibit any signs of discomfort aside from these 'I have a bad day' Tably messages. Is it possible that the app sometimes misjudges the cat's mood?

About this app

For example, cats tend to hide their symptoms of pain to avoid looking defenseless. this app analyzes a picture of your cat’s face and uses a clinically validated grimace scale to assess if your cat is having a good day or may be hiding a potential health issue.  Less accurate for cats with traits including Brachycephalic like Persian and Himalayan and some dolichocephalic like Abyssinian, Siamese, and Sphynx.  Less accurate with cats that have darker facial features.  We love our cats but sometimes they can be hard to understand.  Cats are solitary hunters by nature.  You love cats as much as we do.  Use your phone’s camera to find out if your cat is having a good or bad day.  They express themselves very differently from other species.  Give us your feedback in app or at to help us help cats live their best lives.
