I think RiversidePodcastVideoStudio works great. I use Riverside with all my clients and it's a fantastic tool.
I do recognize RiversidePodcastVideoStudio had a very rough start on launch, but it's been great after that.
I'll say this: this is considered a more professional remote application. Meaning, in my use case, I couldn't care less about ANY of the features they offer. My company downloads all the files raw, and works with them from there. I do this because this is how we work, and how we want to work.
If you are looking for a decent, single file, Zoom is probably the way to go for you. But if you want high quality and want a WAY better end product, RiversidePodcastVideoStudio is and platform is leagues better than Zoom, but ONLY if you are willing to put in the post-production work afterwards.
If you are a one-man team, and you are NOT an editor, then you probably shouldn't be using this application/platform.
