Maple - Household Planner Reviews

I love this application. The only two downfalls I wish would be added in the next update are as follows: I am a mother of four. Two of them only have Apple watches, the other two are toddlers and have different schedules since one is in sports the other is still too young; just turned toddler. This application is great at helping me organize except I cannot add family members to create their own tasks and set reminders because it wants more clientele. Therefore, you must invite someone into your “household” in order to assign tasks. It would make organizing much easier if I could list other family members who do not have a phone. My last dislike of the application is one that I think definitely needs to be revised by the developers. The time reminder is simply a notification ding set at a max and minimum of 10 minutes. Nothing more, nothing less. It makes it almost useless because then I have to go into my clock application to set alarms and label them with what I just labeled and set a reminder in, this app.

Having any household with kids is considered chaotic now in days and it still is. By actually using and utilizing the this app app after a brief few weeks, I have been able to consolidate all of my other iPhone apps for trying to keep my calendar, grocery list, kids birthday and holiday parties and events more organized. Sharing my busy life tasks with helpful family and friends hasn’t been easier and gives me that just long enough break to keep ahead of the game. this app can be your foundation of an organized life when you trust Maple and allow everything to go with a flow of your liking. this app keeps on growing on me and adding more and more beneficial features. 5/5 or 10/10, whatever you want to call it. Well deserved.

As a mother, your mind is constantly racing to make sure your family is taken care of at all costs. The mental and physical load we take is something that truly is miraculous and a force to be reckoned with. As an administrator of preschools and early childhood advocate, communication and planning to reach efficiency throughout the day is essential for me to feel centered. Organization and follow through clears my head and makes me reach my full potential. This is where this app steps in to make sure it all happens with and for myself, my community and my village together. From the applications effortless accessibility to the endless resources provided, this app continuously helps makes this journey easier. It is without a doubt a gift to the future of parenting.

We have two young kids and recently bought a house so we have a lot to keep track of and Maple has been wonderful. I love that I can keep track of my daily and long-term projects in different topics and check things off as I go. It’s also nice to be able to assign tasks to my husband and get them off my mental load. The interface is simple and easy to navigate. Since it’s a relatively new app it definitely could use some tweaks, but so far I like it better than most to-do list apps I’ve used. They are also very receptive to suggestions and seem to already be working on things I’ve asked about so I’m looking forward to seeing it get better as we go!

I’m not a big “app guy.” Most of the time when someone tells me I need to check out an App, I’ll download it, play around for a few minutes and rarely get hooked enough to keep it. This is NOT the case with this app! this app makes managing my family’s day insanely simple. It allows my wife and I to better communicate and coordinate our efforts to keep everything running smoothly. After a few minutes with this app I felt there was something special. Once I got my wife on it and the two of us started leveraging it with each other, I knew it would end up as one of my most used apps. I’m really excited to see how it evolves and continues to help folks like me. Would highly recommend!

I started using this app about a month ago and I love it! I highly recommend it. I used to use so many different applications for keeping track of my day to day tasks, appointments, shopping lists etc. Now I am able to input everything into this app and have it all in one place for me to keep organized and stress free. Best part is I can include my husband and we can both create tasks, add to our shopping list or add any appointments that we might need for our family so it doesn’t feel like I am running our household alone. It’s a great app to keep everyone in your family/close friends connected and in the loop.

As a busy mom and entrepreneur I am always toggling between work life and mom life. I find it super challenging to keep up with everything that goes into maintaining my business and our household. For the longest time I was doing 90% of the work around maintaining our home, but since using the this app app I have been able to delegate more things to my husband. We’ve ever used some of the partners within Maple to outsource things that we just don’t have time for. My favorite aspect of Maple is keeping all of our conversations that involve our family in one central space!

A great idea & solution to finally address care giver burnout. You can invite another care giver (partner/spouse, parent, babysitter whatever that looks like for your family) and share tasks and events, even sync with your google calendar. Lessening the load on you and also allows for clear and open communication of expectations in the household. this app also collaborates with likeminded family apps to make it a one stop shop for all your household needs.

Gave this a shot a while back and immediately found value in having a shared calendar, being able to message in-app, and share tasks across my family. The best thing is, it keeps getting better as they roll out new features and partnerships. The new web version has made life even easier, especially for calendaring and building my shopping list. I also love the integrations with Task Rabbit and others.

When I initially downloaded this app, I was ecstatic. The home page was very interesting, engaging, and still organized.

The recent update simplified it and now the home page looks like a plain messaging app. It’s uninteresting, just lots of text.

I had gotten Maple to help me (a parent with ADHD) keep engaged with household and family tasks. Now it doesn’t quite have the same feel as before, but I haven’t yet found another app that has that same feeling (especially not one without a subscription, which is a big reason why I chose this app in the first place.)

Love the idea of Maple , however…
1) When inputting our schedule into the calendar, it automatically schedules it for “today” even when I open the future date and click + it skips back to today’s date and I have to go back and fix it…
2) I can’t make exceptions for repeating events; I went to delete my work days during spring break and the only option was to delete every instance of a work day…

There are just some minor inconveniences here that don’t occur in any other calendar/scheduling app I use

Maple has been so helpful in coordinating family tasks, to-do’s and calendars. My husband and I can share tasks with each other and our nanny and other family members. Maple sends reminders to us when we need to handle a task. Now Maple reminds my husband instead of me. I’m no longer having to nag him about things, Maple does it for me! I can’t recommend Maple enough for couples with or without kids!

Great for household management, but I need to be able to filter tasks by topic (ie i need to filter to see grocery list rather than ALL the meal-planning tasks). I don’t need to see discussion blurbs in between, nor see ALL the tasks assigned to me when I’m just doing grocery shopping. I know I have to fix the sink, let me focus on household projects separately please! You should also be able to customize reminders including having multiple for one task if you’re someone like me, who very much needs that.

I’m super grateful for this user-friendly family management app. Now my fiancé has more insight into the work I do running a household of 5 (plus dog). It’s easy to schedule my team for different events and duties. So not only are we sharing the load, we book in extra date nights and everyone feels a little more appreciated (nice touch on the the graditude button). Thank you!

Maple has a lot of good potential, but isn’t as easy and intuitive to use as you would hope.

-Calendar only shows you a few hours at a time. I really need to be able to see a whole day at a time (at least 12 hours) to know what’s coming
-Chat feature is nice but is cluttered with notifications and recaps of the day
-Events list is useless. Please make it a calendar within a topic.
-Reminders need to be plastic. 10 minutes before doesn’t make sense for most things. For example, for an all-day event you get a reminder at 11:50pm the day before.
-I’d like to see upcoming tasks listed somewhere, not sure where those display if it’s not the right day
-Tasks should remember your previously created tasks too for easy creation. It takes quite a few steps to create a task.

I’d like to give this 5 stars, maybe even 4…it’s a great idea that seems like it would allow my spouse and I to increase communication for family calendars and details. However, we encountered an issue others have reviewed about here on Maple store and on social media. I set up the account initially and sent my spouse a link to join and link to the account. It never allowed him access. He reset passwords, followed email links to reset passwords, nothing worked. Can’t really use a “family” communication app by myself. Uninstalled. Oh well.

Love Maple. But it just won’t sync with our phone calendar where all the calendars are synced and that’s just cruel. Because we need to like dive into two calendar locations.

this app has been incredibly helpful when it comes to helping me stay organized and centralize all the things going on in my family. I can message family about different topics instead of conversations getting lost in text messages. Thank you, this app!

We’ve been using Maple for a few weeks and it’s truly been a stress reliever. Helps my wife and I stay on top of our child’s activities and crank out the small things without having to nag each other.

They put out really awesome content as well!

Maple has significantly reduced the amount of times I have to remind my spouse that something is coming up or that something needs to be done! It has made household management so much more efficient and easier to handle because I’m able to delegate.
