Negative Photo Reviews

I wish I would’ve read the reviews aside from the 1 positive boosted up top from a year ago. Incredibly confusing and not user-friendly. Initially there’s 2 buttons:add photo or take photo. No instructions or pregame to let you know how it works. I’ve clicked on both buttons and when I try to hit the file button after (which I assume means save), I can’t get the photo to save on my camera roll or even view them in NegativePhoto . Am I supposed to screen shot the finished edits? By the way, “edits” are just 9 filters that you can’t adjust. that is ALL there is to NegativePhoto. I have an iPhone 12 mini and the settings button is hidden so far up in the top left I can’t even click on it because my clock is on top. So no clue what it does. Maybe it’s not made for a mini? I wanted to try a few apps out and see how well my negatives turned out before actually purchasing, decided to try this one and was charged despite the “3 day trial” description when you download. Lots of kinks here and I feel like an idiot, but I’ve tinkered with the very minimal amount of buttons for awhile, and I just don’t get how this is an app, let alone one you pay for. Hope I can save someone else from making the same dumb mistake I did. I tried FilmBox and that was so much better with FAR more options!

My biggest mistake was not reading the reviews so I got caught in this FRAUDULANT APP SCAM.

My experience is the same with ALL the negative reviews. NegativePhoto is awful, you di t get a “free trial” and you CANT cancel
Or get a refund. If you cancel you still are subscribed for 6 months. If you deleted and try to reinstall NegativePhoto , you can’t restore purchases.

Worse yet, you can’t use report a problem to dispute with apply because there’s a claim that says it’s not eligible for refund even though one cancels within the free trial. It’s not a free trial.
It actually said there’s no receipt for the transaction but I clearly got a receipt

Offers 3 days free but charges you $10 up front no way to cancel. Worked with NegativePhoto for 30 minutes with very little success and no instructions offered. Does not do what it says
Went to App Store to drop and already charged my card $10

The resulting image is washed out, too bright. If you convert it back with a different negative app or view using the built-in iOS classic invert colors, the image you get is much darker than the original. That's all there is to NegativePhoto, for other filtering effects you have to pay. Don't bother, since it can't even get basic negative/invert right.

I agree with nikkiwikkiwikki, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?? I bought it to take a shot of a film negative (lit up on a light table), thinking it would (a) reverse the image accurately and (b) let you save the result. I think the first one was a 3 out of 10, and as for saving, that was not possible, so that's a big zero. Getting my money back is the next step so I don't flush ten bucks for nothing. Sorry to be so... Negative!! Haha.

When I read the description for NegativePhoto, I thought I read that there was a free period that it could be used. But when I downloaded and opened it, I was forced to subscribe to use it. I thought this was a cancel within 3 days or you subscribe thing, but no, it immediately charged me $9.99. I tried to use NegativePhoto on some negatives I have. It did not work AT ALL. So I went in to make sure to cancel my subscription within the three days to avoid paying for an app that didn’t work for me. I had to call Apple to learn that I had actually subscribed for six months and my card was charged. I explained NegativePhoto did not work for the negatives I had and these circumstances. NegativePhoto seems like a bait and switch. You think you are just doing a free 3 day trial and you are immediately charged for a six month subscription. The negatives I wanted to convert were tiny, way smaller than regular negatives. So NegativePhoto may work on regular negatives. I did not need it for that purpose and didn’t try it on regular negatives.

Subscription options clearly state there is a 3-day free trial included in each option. So I subscribed and tried to process one photo. NegativePhoto didn’t work. There’s no instructions or online help. So decided to cancel my subscription and found that I’ve already been charged for a 6-month subscription. $30 for an app that doesn’t work. Seems like a scam to me!

I downloaded this program and it immediately pushes you into a subscription. It says you can try it for free for 3 days. I canceled it literally after 20 minutes and it still charged me 10 dollars. Extremely annoyed and seems like false advertising. I am really bothered that it ropes you into a subscription before you can even try the product.

I downloaded NegativePhoto and it wasn’t what I needed. I deleted it within 10 minutes and went to manage my subscriptions to make sure I cancelled and there is no option to cancel! The only options are to change your subscription. Then I get a charge for the highest priced subscription - which will be perpetual until I can figure out how to cancel it. Requested a refund and tried reporting NegativePhoto for quality and you can’t report through Apple. The developer website only has an email address so I am hoping I get a response.

I went to NegativePhoto after downloading it and took pictures that I have in negatives to use from my camera roll and put them into NegativePhoto . It did not convert any negative to a positive image… all it did was put a bunch of filters on my same negative images. There is no way to change screens or to go any further. This is a rip off and it does not do what it says it will. I deleted it immediately and then went and canceled my subscription.
If you are going to delete NegativePhoto you have to also go cancel your subscription. Make sure you do that because they can charge you if you don’t

There are some great apps out there, but this is not one of them! This is actually just an attempt to scam money from people who don’t take the time to read the reviews. Like so many others, I thought this was an affordable approach to getting my negatives turned into actual photos. Not! Not only does it not perform the function that it advertises, but there is also no way to cancel the subscription and there is no free trial. Period! I guess every once in a while you have to be taken in as a reminder that no one is invulnerable to shiftless and shameless people who are looking for opportunities to make a quick buck at the expense of their fellow human beings.

I was using the negative filter for my photography class and it got the job done. I only seemed to get ads when I was saving the picture. Other than that it’s a decent app.

My friend and I spent an hour just trying to invert a photo. I finally found this and it took less than 5 min! Thank you for making it so simple!

I will start off this review with saying it dose drop the exposure of the image but quick fix light room let you know if works for project comming up

I’ve downloaded so many apps and this is the most straight forward one when reversing colors. And thanks for the no ads after reviewing 5 stars 🥰 NegativePhoto deserves it

It does it’s job. Fairly good quality. Occasionally the end product will be a little blue, but you can edit that out.

I love NegativePhoto. I use it to help people determine if they have line eyes while TTC, or read other dipstick tests. Does what I need it to super easily. Would 5/5 recommend

I’m going down memory lane with all my negatives. I don’t have a scanner or any way to see what they are without NegativePhoto.

I love NegativePhoto! It’s so simple to use and if I need an inverted photo it does it in less than a minute!

I’m just saying that it’s nicer than the other ones I have seen
