Bahia Principe Hotels Reviews

BahiaPrincipeHotels requests either a booking or voucher number. I was only given a confirmation and itinerary number. Many people I reached via phone could find my reservation using my email address, but none could provide a booking or voucher number or figure out how to help me. One said we only need a confirmation of itinerary number, yet BahiaPrincipeHotels requires another number. I can’t get BahiaPrincipeHotels to work for me without getting my reservation to show up! So frustrating! Why not use the email address to link my reservation, since everyone found my reservation that way?
Checking in, this was insane as we have 4 rooms/couples on the same booking number and it’s deferring to the first 2 that checked in, not letting us add the rest. We need help. Each room should have opportunity for their own separate booking number!!

Overall, I was welcoming on my first day. It was beautiful. I already came in before so I already had idea what was gonna happen and then two days down the line I believe the 18th some water started coming in through the bathroom. I called the front desk to let them know they switch my room and then, the same thing happened in a different location of the room started leaking from the hallway into a puddle water and they fixed it I thought and then I woke up and the water was right back. I had to put a bucket there today was checking out today and I just wanted to go home

BahiaPrincipeHotels accomplishes what it needs to on the resorts, BUT due to spotty WiFi and poor optimization requires frequent uninstallation and reinstallation to work. Here are my recommendations to the dev team:
-If I have checked in and logged in, to save performance, just automatically go to my stay so I can make reservations and check activities rather than booking at other resorts. I get the marketing behind this, but if I’m at one of the resorts, save the load time by going to the “my stay” page.
-The map could be better. The google maps integration has some benefits, but an interactive or simple PDF could get what you want more performantly. Could have them personalized based on the what room you are in with variations of “your room” marked on the pdf version.
-QR codes for menus should automatically take you to the menu or pdf, not send you to a web page to all menus and find the dropdown that opened for the restaurant you want. Also, just put English and Spanish versions on the same page. Too many different variations.

Very difficult booking two rooms ahead of time for restaurants. Did not get the restaurants of our choice due to we could only book one room two people our second room children with three people could not book on our reservation until we got to the resort. Not happy. we like to eat early 530 6 o’clock and we could not get five of us in till 930. I went on BahiaPrincipeHotels trying to book the times we wanted 10 days prior, but can only book my husband and I.

I would love to rate the hotel better but the rooms are beat up and need of a lot of maintenance. The toilet didn’t flush, maintenance came to fix it, nothing changed. As it is a tropical environment bugs are expected but we found cockroaches in the room we were upgraded to because the original room also needed an insect bomb. The sprayed the room with insecticides and we were not moved but told to air out the place and deal with it….

BahiaPrincipeHotels is not friendly use. No directions provided on the map suggestions: add the current location of the user on the map and guidance to the destination.
As for the restaurants, add more more details about the restaurant location. Also, add the hours of the restaurant.

It doesn’t let me make reservations for 2 rooms, I add the other reservation but when I look at the reservation it says 3 not 4.

6/24- Second time here. This is a smaller resort, not much walking to/from room to restaurants. The weather is always beautiful and warm. Beach is so close; clean and relaxing. Delicious food with several restaurants to choose from (reservations required.). In-room order available. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Great resort , great room ( thank you for upgrading some rooms ) place is clean, food is delicious, staff are friendly and so helpful. The one thing I wish to have at the lobby is small early breakfast area when people before checking out can have some coffee and sandwich or croissant. For example we going to be pick up at 5 :30 am for our early fly home . So can enjoy small breakfast before. Thank you

We have been coming to the Bahia properties in Mexico and DR for years. BahiaPrincipeHotels has improved so much over the years. It is very functional now and helpful for keeping all of my activities and dinner reservations in one place. It doesn’t show me what is going on in the other hotels on the complex but it is fun just taking the trolley to another location and seeing what is going on there!

I booked through a travel agent and it was a little difficult to find my booking number. But once I was able to check in it was great! Pro tip if you need to add another room to you dinner reservations book at the same time and when you arrive tell them you are together. I got that from another traveler and I was able to book 2 rooms for the same times. I was told trying to add a room to your reservation doesn’t always work. So I did not try it.

Coming to this resort is the best decision I have ever made. I have been treated like family by every employee I have come across. Dorka and luis at the lobby bar are both wonderful and have great energy. Jose, Pablo, Louis, Pablo, Francisco, Juan, and more have all treated us amazingly and gotten us everything we asked for even while balancing so many other people. The employee that stood out the most though, is Edgar holleday at the lobby bar. Great energy and calls me and my friends family. Best person I have possibly ever met. If nothing else we would come back only for Edgar.

I am a returning Bahia Principe Hotels customer and had an original version of their app. I could not complete the early sign in 10 days before my trip. I ended up deleting my original app and downloading the new one which executed everything exactly the way it’s supposed to. We absolutely love their resorts!

App is easy to navigate and contains all the information you need for booking, check-in, al a carte reservations, resort info and loyalty club information. Improved greatly over the last few years.

The Privilege Club staff went over and beyond to accommodate our requests!
The renovations were not overly inconvenient and all the hotel staff were courteous and friendly.
Great experience…..oh and the food was amazingly well prepared and delicious!!
This will always be our SPOT!

A friend of mine mentioned BahiaPrincipeHotels to me before our trip and I will say it is super easy to use, helps speed up check in and has a lot of useful tools and information. Definitely worth downloading

I have stayed in many resorts all over the world. This is one of my top choices. The accommodations were clean and the staff were so attentive. The food is unmatched. I will definitely do this again.

We had such a great time here! The food was good, staff was amazing! Rooms and resort very clean and nice! They are constantly doing upkeep and can tell they care about your complete experience. The a la carte restaurants were amazing, service great! The picena bar staff, Pedro, Marian, and Marianelli were so nice and attentive. Amazing people and I will miss them. Definitely booking here again!
