WARNING do not use this bank as your primary. When they lock your account with no warning and provide no means of contact them other than via BELLALovesMe ’s chat. It will take you AT LEAST A WEEK to have your funds unfrozen and accessible.

In the meantime any scheduled deposits will also be refused (normally a frozen account still receives their incoming deposits).

They do not have mobile check deposit, a direct deposit form that many places require to setup payments to you.

There it chat support is unable to see attempted transactions that were declined (Bella push notified of a declined transaction but did not specify the merchant, chat support could not see any failed transaction and said it was them doing maintenance. It was my monthly Xbox Live, got the msg on my Xbox about the failed payment)

Oh and that Bella Surprise feature?? Yeah consider that a non feature. For the first month I received Bella surprises on a little over 10% of my 1000 transactions that month. In Jan I received 2 then account was frozen. After account restored. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SINGLE SUPRISE OR KARMA IN A MONTH AND A HALF.

These people are a bunch of thieves. They locked my account all because I transferred money from my bank account and then told me to send so many items over which I did and now they still have my money locked up. This isn’t $5 that we’re talking about this is hundreds of dollars. Whatever you do, DO NOT USE BELLA LOVES ME. You just may find yourself In the same predicament as me . They probably won’t be here too much longer anyway

UPDATE: Bella loves me unlocked my account today but then suspended with my money inside before I could even transfer it back to my account now they are still holding onto my money DO NOT USE THIS ACCOUNT!!!! Or you’ll regret it and be like me missing money

I have a similar story to recent posts…Bella was really great at first (operated as advertised, customer service was fantastic) but some time late last year some of the functionality seemed to stop and the customer service became slow. Then this winter I received a large payment from my employer…I payed some big bills with some of the money, and I tried to request withdrawing the rest. That’s when they told me they can only do ACH, which has a limit. And then they froze my account. And then their chat response was very delayed. And then they told me they don’t have a phone line to use. So I was in the dark. After days of intermittent contact and providing their compliance department with statements to prove the money was mine and proof of my identity, the sent me all of my money. Lesson learned that fintech “banks” are not ready for real services, and that they are in trouble - I read an article in the Finacial Times about how fraudulent accounts are being created and used at online banks, so they end up locking accounts all the time. Look it up. And be weary of online banks like Bella! They appear to be a sinking ship.

This bank was perfect at first, card was georgous and the customer service was fast and got things solved. Fast forward a few months when I purchased something but cancelled it before it shipped and it had been a few days since and I hadn't gotten anything back. They told me to file a dispute form and then call the bella visa number to start it. That went well, I asked about a week later if I could get a new card or if my card will be unlocked anytime soon. They told me to call the same number again and so I did. Because after the first time I called them the funds disputed returned to my account, they weren't going to do anything with the filed dispute, not even mark it as resolved. Their customer service rep takes days to respond when it's something urgent. I've since switched to Envel. Don't do it.

What a nightmare! Nothing works! I try to find my account… 404 error. I try to tell the live agents their so proud of and all they’re doing is reading off a script. I’ve chatted with at least 3 agents and when I asked one if they knew what a 404 error was they asked me to keep it professional and didn’t help! They lure you in with this karma ideal but you can’t choose per transaction it’s a setting! THE WORST

I wasn’t following a broken link. After connecting with my bank to add funds when BELLALovesMe should take me back to Bella to see my connected account it doesn’t. I get navigated to a Bella 404 page. This is what I mean. No one tries to work with you. They tell you that your problem doesn’t fit their script so it must be my fault then they go on about how much they’re focused on customer service.

At first, I LOVED BELLA. I was getting all my ATM fees back, I got BELLA surprises a lot, and I had a karma account and people were paying for my things occasionally. But last month I noticed that I had stopped getting my ATM fees back. I contacted customer service, and they told me they had changed the policy and now they only return 2 fees per month. Yet there’s no free ATMs. So basically if I get money from an atm more than twice I’ll pay a high fee. For a company that has no atms of their own, this is so wrong on so many levels. I don’t get a notification when I get a direct deposit. They don’t offer overdraft. Things have changed since I signed up for an account. I’m moving to another financial institution. One that actually has overdraft protection, free ATMs AND they even send a notification when I get a deposit.

Bella loves me was life changing in some ways but they felt short in other ways. Transfers originally took a week or more but eventually the fastest they went for me personally was 3-4 days. They had some beautifully unique features for a banking service that I loved though! I did very much appreciate the karma accounts, ability to donate to charities in app, complete account/app customization, Bella surprises and free savings accounts but they simply were not enough to make up for everything else. In chat numerous times they told me they were working on things like mobile check deposit or instant transfers and over the year I had the account it NEVER happened and those are vital and common functions that people need/should have access too and do from other banks. Now they’re shutting down the banking to basically just make clothes under the false idea that they’re doing something better for us next. They also gave everyone only a little over a month get new accounts if they didn’t have precious existing/connected accounts or withdraw all their funds before a certain date and get their auto payments and bills all changed over which is nice but also a bummer in general. All in all two stars. Don’t do yourself like this and go find a credit union or a bank you can trust to be there tomorrow.

Coming from my experience, I was really intrigued with the concept they were going for. Before I did join, I have done my research to see if it was actually a thing or if it was a scam and after watching some reviews and people talking about their experience, it made me gave in and I decided to join. I will admit this, I enjoy everything about it. I haven’t been a Bella member for long, but I wish I can have more time with Bella because I loved everything about it. When it came to the Bella surprises, and the karma. It actually made my day and I’m glad I had the opportunity to make someone else’s day. Even if I struggle with an issue, luckily customer support reached out to me right away and provide any information in order to get the issue resolved. Overall, this has been a fun experience for me, and I hope there will be something similar to this in the future.

Signing up was a breeze, card came within a week, but trying to transfer funds from my other checking account took around 5 days! I also had a somewhat negative experience in the chat with a customer service rep who was clearly somewhere overseas and couldn’t communicate in English efficiently. The second chat I had was much better, and they suggested using Cash App to fund my account which was MUCH quicker! Received 12% cash back on my first purchase and I’m excited to continue exploring what Bella has to offer as they grow!
UPDATE: finally figured out how to set this card up with Zelle and can now transfer funds instantly 👍

I wasn't really sure what to expect because I don't really need a new bank account/debit card at the moment. I have two credit cards and the cashback on them, ranging from 1-5%, compels me to use them for pretty much everything. In about two years though, I'll have to start paying monthly fees on my Chase checking account, so I thought I might as well see how online banking is any different from the usual. Tentatively signed up for Bella, got their card - which does admittedly feel a little flimsy compared to the thicker quality cards I'm used to. I purchased from Aliexpress twice, once last night and once just now. Lo and behold I got hit with their surprise cashback - and 174% of it to be exact. They just covered the cost of the cute tank I bought & a little of the stuff I bought last night. For just that, I have to give them this raving review. I'm looking forward to surprise cashbacks in the future. It won't always be 174%, but the possibility of getting more than just the usual 1-1.5% is more than enough to get some users to stay using Bella. I'm going to see if I can sign my sister up for it as well. I'm excited to see how the Karma features work out as well :)

So far, I love this bank. I think the design could use some work to make it feel like other banking apps, but that’s really the only thing I dislike about it. I’ve gotten Bella Surprises and “karma” account surprises where others have paid for my small purchases. I like that you can also put money into the karma account and help surprise others by picking up their small purchases. The debit card is super cute too!

I love the whole concept of the Karma account. I enjoy being able to help others with the random acts of kindness. It makes my day to receive a Bella surprise or when someone picks up my tab!
Their customer service is also amazing! They have the nicest people working for them.
The only downside is that it takes a few days to transfer money from a bank to the card…BUT, you can do it instantly through cashapp!

I am one of the original members of the card when it first came out. I was originally skeptical but soon transferred everything over to this account based on its reliability and how incredibly friendly the customer service representatives are! I get Bella surprises all the time and I also like the option where I can toss my own money into the karma account here and there that someone else can use and get a nice surprise with. It feels good to do good!

App started off great! Received Bella surprises and I never had any issues with them until….

OUT OF NOWHERE, they froze my account. Kept my funds from Mexico wouldn’t let me talk to a manger, live person.. NOTHING!! After over a month of fighting with these people (robots) they closed my account and said they would mail my funds to me in a check. I’m still waiting on that. Let’s hope they didn’t scam me and keep my money. Save yourself the head ache and stay clear of BELLALovesMe. I’m not the only person this has happened to. Wish I would’ve known.

It’s not your typical banking app. The karma feature is awesome! I have switched to Bella as my main account. I’ve used all the other internet banks and none of them compare to Bella. I don’t usually write reviews unless something is really great or just really awful! Bella has surpassed my expectations and I’m thankful I’m a member! Looking forward to spreading the love and helping others by covering their tabs via the karma account! What you put out does indeed come back to you- I’m a firm believer! xoxoxo all love 🤍

Coming from CashApp, Bella has exceeded them in customer service and app experience usage. Putting money aside for saving vs. checking has never been easier for the user. BELLALovesMe design is modernized, which is beautiful.
My only suggestion, because I’m a male (lol), is that we could have a selection of card designs to pay to order. Not all being rainbow, I mean. The card itself is kind of thin, but it has swipe, chip, and tap feature. You can also add it to your phone and watch to pay handsfree.

I spent hours upon hours searching for the best rewards debit card and stumbled upon Bella by accident. I downloaded BELLALovesMe , thinking it’d make a nice extra checking account. I closed my account with Chase several months ago and have been using Bella as my primary account ever since.

I’m one of the “founding members” and admittedly I had a rough start with trying to get my card, but customer service was really helpful and I’m glad I stayed on. BELLALovesMe ’s design has gotten a lot more intuitive and easy to use, the “hashtag” feature has been immensely helpful in keeping track of my expenses, as has been the unlimited savings accounts, and I get my direct deposit a day earlier than my coworkers!

The savings APY is admittedly rather low, but the checking account has paid for itself in dividends. I almost don’t want to advertise BELLALovesMe because I’m worried the benefits may go down as the user base goes up, but I’ve been bragging about all my Bella Surprises to all my friends and family regardless. I fund my Karma account every paycheck and receive far more in return every time.

This Company is amazing! Not ATM fees, and when you are charged one at an atm Bella refunds you immediately and puts it back in your account. You get random free money from Bella called Bella surprises, and random people pick up your tab for different things at any time, you also can do the same for others from your karma account, not to mention you get money back for purchases over time. This company is the best! I love it. You give and receive all the time! Get this card it will change your life and change the way you see the world and think about banking. I promise you won’t regret it!

I’m always looking around to find which is the best online bank and came across and few but decided to try out Bella.
To my surprise I’ve already received 2 Bella Surprises and someone picked up my tab, they covered the cost of my purchase, within the month that they’ve been running.
I think it’s a great feature, being able to receive random cash back from 5% - 200%. I try to use this card as often as possible since it is random. And with the second surprise I received I now funded my karma account to cover someone else’s tab.
I see people having trouble signing up, I didn’t have much trouble and did so about 2 weeks before they had everything up and running and even got a free T-shirt from a promo they had one day.
I still do have a physical bank just because I like to know I can use their atm and do other business I might need. So I don’t have much trouble on that end.
when I did need to speak with customer service they were just a message away through the Bella App and even though it was really late at night.
I think they are definitely worth the try & who knows they might gift you an amazing surprise.

I came across BELLALovesMe through an ad in Candycrush of all places. Intrigued, I decided to look into it further. Not only do they have the awesome possibility of cash back bonuses and the karma account, they’re also insured for up to $5 million by the FDIC. To be clear, most traditional banks are only insured up to $250K. Not that I need it, but it’s an interesting way to further differentiate from traditional banks.
I felt compelled to write this review because of all the 1-star reviews stating how much trouble it was to sign up. Not my experience AT all. Took fewer than 5 minutes and they didn’t even require me to deposit money to start the account. Most traditional banks seem to require at least $50 to get started. The only slightly annoying part about opening the account was having to type in codes sent to your email and phone 4 different times. But seriously, under 5 minutes.
I should receive my card in 7-10 days and will update this review should anything shady occur! Honestly, I’m really excited to see if this concept works out.

Went through application process but when it comes time to sign the final form, there is an error and it never shows the form. There is no way to refresh or go back.

I made a deposit to my Bella account and ever since have not been able to access my account. It always gives me a message that they are having technical difficulties.

I would advise people not to use this Bank I've had some headaches after a while they sat there and reported that my card was stolen when I didn't lose the card or it wasn't stolen then they had freezed my account and suspension without notice I would suggest you go to a real financial institution and don't bother with this Bank

I signed up in error and have REPEATEDLY asked to be removed from the platform and all emails and I am STILL. Getting notifications. If I receive one more I will go to better business

App is no longer available in the Play Store... Which means if you somehow lose the app on your phone, you cannot access your account! Beware and don't bother, signing up was a mistake for me...

They sent me a FAKE CHECK in the mail for my account disclosure. I tried to cash the check at kroger and it declined. Now they are saying this is the first time it has ever happened to a customer

SCAM! They trick you by showing you some “LOVE” by paying your lunch for a week and make you happy! “WOW IM GETTING FREE MONEY!” THEN WHEN YOU GET A BIG DEPOSIT IN YOUR ACCOUNT THEY CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT AND KEEP YOUR MONEY! They stole my unemployment money!

I was dumb enough to use this app to receive a rather large insurance payout. After one day my account was locked due to suspicion of fraud. They want me to proof that I had enough money in my connected checking account to make this deposit....I cant proof that, I didn't make the deposit. They keep repeating that I need to send them the bank statement. I am dumbfounded. I am currently afraid that my money is lost. The insurance company legit paid me. I have acknowledged that the payments I was able to make were legit and yet I am suspected of fraud just because I received a larger amount of money. Be aware when you decide to use this app to receive money.

It doesn't work after adding all my information

I have left messages and emails 4 days in a row... No response. The app is not working. It will not let me log in. Bella is visually pleasing and the concept is great. Customer service sucks! I get no response from email, text message, or the live chat. Once more and I will close my account.

Worst customer service and worst app. Crashes a lot and has lots of problems. Don’t bother !
