The last update sucked big time

I’m sure it’s a bug or two but ever since the update, the function of emailing receipt has been totally messed up. It lost all the email address which used to keep when the customer used the same card as before and Carbon Copy function doesn’t work even after I turned it off once and re-entered an email address to turn it on. I have to type customers’ email address EVERY TIME and I also have to type my own address EVERY TIME to send CC to myself. This has been very annoying.

Lastly, I have talked someone to update my physical address as it was changed many years ago but it has never been updated and I can’t even add a new place for location change section.

At least it takes money no problem, I’m keep using it but if someone get back to me straighten things up that’ll be great.

Works well for us!

We’ve been using Clover Go since we first opened in March,2017. We are are a small kiosk in the mall so the chip/card reader is adequate for us. I’m pretty happy overall and note the improvements made since then. I do have the same issue with using iPhone 7.

June 2018.
Still happy with service!

This app is very un-user-friendly!

Compared to CloverGoG1PointofSale my bank used to use this one is very difficult to use and we are considering looking into something else. CloverGoG1PointofSale can only be used in portrait orientation, which is the opposite of how we have our iPad on the desk. If you want to make any changes to the inventory items you have to go to the web site, you can't make any changes directly from CloverGoG1PointofSale ! And the most frustrating is the frequency which you have to change your password to something complex that you've never used before. Taking credit cards was never something we really wanted to do at our business anyway and CloverGoG1PointofSale certainly makes it more of a hassle.

Not very useful for business that use modifiers or labels.

I don’t understand how after a few years of having CloverGoG1PointofSale now, they still have not added the ability to use the modifiers on the items pre programmed in our inventory. For example if you run a burger shop and a burger is $5, and after selected you have modifier options such as +$1.50 for cheese or +$1.50 for avacado. On my full display i can do this but not through CloverGoG1PointofSale so, 90% of my products can not be entered through CloverGoG1PointofSale making CloverGoG1PointofSale useless to us and many other businesses that use the modifiers.

I only see this as a useful app for a standard retail business with everything with strictly one SKU price and no variation to that price.

Terrible experience

I’ll start by saying that I’ve never taken the time to write a negative review of anything, but felt compelled in this case.

I never actually completed the sign up process for Clover, as the agent who I was speaking with stopped responding to my emails. Nevertheless, Clover began billing my bank account directly, which I didn’t notice until 6 weeks later.

I then spent an hour on the phone, got a case number created and was told I’d receive a call back in the next 2 days. I waited a week and still hadn’t received the call. I then called again, spent another hour on the phone (40 minutes on hold), and was told my case had been closed. The customer service agent couldn’t confirm whether the charges had been refunded or whether the account had been fully cancelled, and didn’t seem to have access to any of the information from the previous call.

Ultimately I had to call my bank to dispute the changes. I’m still unsure if all aspects of my account are cancelled or if Clover will continue to try to bill me.

New update not compatible with my phone; unable to take credit card payments

New update for clover go mobile is not compatible with my iOS. I deleted and re-downloaded, which worked. Now today it won't allow me to take card payments as it shuffles me in a circle of update on CloverGoG1PointofSale Store error messages. I can't update to the newest iOS and CloverGoG1PointofSale says it can download the most current version compatible with my iOS. I had to send a customer home because she didn't have any other payment and she will have to send payment in the mail. Very frustrating.

Bug in tip options after new ios 12 update

CloverGoG1PointofSale works fine. However we found an issue after the latest ios update. The tip options which appear after inserting card in reader, it shows one less block of tip percentages from the percentage it should be.

Such as if selected to show 3 blocks in admin settings, it’s showing 2 options only
If selected 4, it shows 3 only.

Please fix your app

iPhone user here. App keeps crashing. Every time I try to log in, it makes me go over my privacy notice and takes me back to entering my pin. And then back to privacy. Then I have to delete CloverGoG1PointofSale and reinstall it again. It works for couple days and then the issue comes up again. It’s frustrating when I’m with the customer and I can’t take a payment. If this issue continues I will have to switch to a different Credit card merchant.

It’s good and convenient

I find that Clover is not as user friendly as square. And when I try using it on my iPad, you have to log into CloverGoG1PointofSale every time with typing the password even though it has the finger print ID. I do like that the rates are lower when you have a business acct with certain banks and their other devices are great too.

Better Than Dashboard App, But Slow

Mostly good, but takes 30-60 sec to load an inventory of a few thousand items. Inventory items added then take several minutes to show up. Large inventories should be chunked by the API to speed up the UI and there needs to be a way to manually refresh the cached inventory after adding items.

Keeps logging me out

Hello,
I use the Clover Go app for my business, and CloverGoG1PointofSale runs fairly smooth. My only issue is ever since I updated CloverGoG1PointofSale , it has me re-login every time. Before it would recognize my phone and ask for my 4 digit passcode that I created with CloverGoG1PointofSale , so I didn’t have to re-login every time. Is there anyway I can fix this?

With covid and all this new changes to businesses, i wished you guys had more payment options, i used square before you guys but just recently found out they have a link option where you send the client the link and they can pay with you having contact with them, I have been using it a lot and it is such a big help! Can you guys do something like that? Please 😭😭😭

This app is a joke

I have clover station. I wanted to add a mobile payment option to help me to take curbside orders. Unfortunately, After I but the CloverGo device, I found that CloverGoG1PointofSale dose not allow me to use modifiers for any item. And even if open an open-order to process any payment, it automatically deducts all modifiers from the bill. Totally useless app. I called clover tech support and they told me it is what it is and they’re not going to add that feature on CloverGoG1PointofSale.

Clover - no morals

Terrible experience. Unfortunately a BBVA bank rep strong-armed me into signing up for Clover with a set monthly fee which sounded reasonable at first. After a short honeymoon period I started getting pelted with Clover’s extra made-up monthly BS fees for Clover bells and whistles that Clover provides that i have no use for. To get out of the Clover contract I had to pay the thieves (Clover) to take back their clunker. I’m now using a better, and honest, provider with low transparent transaction fees. I hope my experience helps others avoid my costly mistake.

Intuitive

I appreciate the simple nature of CloverGoG1PointofSale. It’s easy to use.
However, I took away a star because I’m having trouble adding tax to certain items, while not adding it to others; I have a consignment business, which means only jewelry and formalwear are taxable in PA. I’ve read the Help tutorials and Q&A’s, but they don’t solve my issue.

Feature Update

Love CloverGoG1PointofSale, but will you please add in the ability for tax to be added to the quick sale screen? Right now tax is only added to items in your inventory or by doing a custom item.

The Clover Flex, Mini, and Station all add tax on the sale screen so not sure why the Go would be any different.

Good service!

Good service so far since we have been with them for 2 years. Customer service is efficient with courteous staff when we have had to call.

When it's working

App often is problematic.
When it's working it's great.
Once several weeks ago app was down. Tried to call in an approval was unable. How can I accept transactions when CloverGoG1PointofSale is down ????

Thank you so much for your professional service

You are very professional and honest

Won’t do Modifiers

CloverGoG1PointofSale I think is good but it doesn’t see modifiers within items. So for instance if you have a Sandwich with a bunch of sides that can be available to select from that include additional costs you can’t do it. Another example would be we have soda as an item at a $0.00 cost with a required modifier that has sizes that adds the costs. If you select soda within CloverGoG1PointofSale , the cost is $0.00 and you can’t select the modifier.

This is also the case for returns, if you return items with modifiers, it doesn’t see those additional charges and doesn’t return the full amount.

Fix this stuff and I think it would be more useful.

CLOVER

Tremendous app.
Process all payments urgently.
Very simple to use.
A child can receive any payment, no matter how small or large.

Getting there

I'd love to see Touch ID support and multitasking on iPad Pro. I use CloverGoG1PointofSale for events and it would be great to have my registration and payment apps both open side by side. Over all, easy enough to use and gets the job done. Back end system is easy to navigate.

This app is not working at all they said it going to charge one time 50 for the equipment and 2% each transaction and that’s not true I been more than 3 hours with customer service they hold my money and charge me more that accord this is the worst company and bad experience and not one know what’s going on inside the company .
