Beware

Circles WAS a good space ,, the people were wonderful but then corporate got greedy NEVER gave any of us a heads up and forced subscriptions on everything on app,, not everyone could pay that’s why the Free part was a godsend,, but we were NOT told this was happening and people were blind sided,, triggered a lot of people who have narcissistic people in their lives and then have Circles do the same thing,, cruel and indifferent,, sad sad time when they hurt people like they did,, impacted mental health of everyone dependent on connections in Circles ,, not everyone could even afford the discounts they offered only if they were contacted,, RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!

Outrageous

I posted a question in a chat room on Circles months ago, and I'm told there is no way to go and see if there was an answer to my question. I've been told that I'm the only one who's ever asked to look for a way to easily find a previous post to my question. i'm told there is no way to do this and I will have to scroll back months of chat room messages between 13,000 or more participants in order to find the one post that I had posted back in November. This seems outrageous to me, and only something that will make people who are already stressed out even more frustrated than they already are. You need to seriously reconsider how you've constructed your app because it's counterproductive and only has served to to make life more difficult

Bad app

I’ve been on Circles and I’ve had nothing but mean people who talk down to you especially what you’re going through. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful people in this groups. A lot of actual “narcissistic people” in here when they are supposed to be there to support you but nope they are completely fake and unprofessional and major bullies. Disgusting behaviors too!

Also there’s people on there who tried to build friendships but treat you like terrible and don’t care about your feelings essentially! And I wanted to go on Circles to get support and there’s so many nasty mean people on here! I just want to find a better platform.

When did the subscription start?

I have not been on Circles in a few months. I have really been going through some things and needed some support, so I just opened it. It’s wanting payment for monthly fee or I can start a free trial. When did this come about? It had never asked me about that before. Never said anything about cost. This was a good thing when I first downloaded it and signed up. I guess that almighty dollar has gotten in the way… realized you can probably make really good money off of it. it’s just a shame.
I have no insurance. This was my help. I’m now unemployed again, so I have no money for a monthly subscription. People and their well-being should be more important than your pocket. This world is such a disappointment..

ABSURD, ZERO RESPECT FOR YOUR TIME, NOT PROFESSIONAL

This seems to be a decent concept with horrendous execution. I took the time to sign up for a trial and enter payment info ,should I not cancel before the trial expired. I waited and waited to join my first group to see what it was all about. I received a notification that my “circle” was beginning. After waiting 15 minutes I turned off my video and exited. I was later i formed there weren’t enough participants to host the session, yet I was never informed. For a self-proclaimed mental health platform, they had zero respect for my time or the consideration to notify me the session would not take place. They should take the time to iron out the wrinkles before accepting money or wasting people’s time.

Roll the dice

Love the concept of Circles, in reality not as professionally executed as I hoped especially for between a $15-$30 /month fee depending on the plan you choose. Though it was nice to have the group chat format- many groups are actually led by your peers and not professionals. Or, a “this app expert” which is actually not a licensed mental health professional but someone with “experience.” While the camaraderie of the group chats can be nice at times, at least just as many times I found groups to be the “Wild West” with little structure and lacked the boundaries a well qualified leader would provide. Also many examples of rampantly erroneous “recommendations” based on religious or personal beliefs propagated as fact - when these group leaders actually have no formal credentials in mental health. Though cheaper than therapy , there are plenty of free platforms or support groups to go on and share and get the same quality of content and opinions from lay or “experienced” people. I expected more from a paid service, and would rather not spend my hard earned money to roll the dice on whether I will learn something useful- or a poorly qualified group leader or attendee giving “advise” that serves little more than a soap box to their own personal experiences/opinions and /or religious beliefs.

Experience With Circles

It seems that this app is intended as a way to connect with others dealing with issues similar to what you may be going through. I only used Circles three times - listening in on a couple group talks and then participated in one group discussion on experiences of narcissistic abuse after which my account was promptly deactivated. This is a warning that although there is possibility to receive and give support - this does not replace an actual licensed therapist and I must say the moderators do not appear to be particularly qualified. Circles is advertised as being an anonymous way to connect , but people can choose to follow you from Circles on social media and direct message - so it is not really anonymous in the way a crisis text line or hotline is. It takes courage to share experiences and frankly Circles does not replace in person support. The fact that as soon as I participated in sharing and was deactivated afterwards shows prejudice and insecurities on part of moderators ‘leading’ groups on this platform. My advice is to seek out a more qualified support by a licensed therapist from sites such as BetterHelp which offer sliding scale therapy. Even texting into a crisis text line is better option as a platform like this where people may be either discriminated against or judged is detrimental to those seriously seeking healing and recovery.

Was a member enjoyed some of professionals, peers and some topics that I could fit in!

As of yesterday June 26th 2024, I cannot open app except to a blank screen. Sent email for help. I paid in full; began in April 2024 and subscription ends in March 8th of 2025! I haven’t received any response so I canceled subscription.
Also it began as a trial and automatically went to pay in full at top price without warning. As I heard of less expensive offers and monthly payment offers.
I used this platform as I cannot reach you!

A great community, with an app that needs some further development.

The this app community is fantastic, and has been such a blessing amidst the isolation and loneliness of a toxic relationship. Circles , while functional, could use some further development. For one, the iPad simply uses the iPhone app, which really hamstrings the chat functionality. Secondly, Circles drains AirPods/headphones by keeping the microphone live, even when you are muted. A few tweaks would really make Circles as great as the community it serves.

AMAZING AND FREE!!!

If your going through something. DOWNLOAD Circles! It’s completely free and it’s just people talking with you going though the same stuff and if not the same thing they are open to talking with you about what’s going on….i probably sound like a ad or not or something but this is really a true review, I don’t review apps often and hardly ever 5 stars….. Circles deserves it for sure. I am so very thankful for this.

Like Discord & Therapy had a baby

Really unique and innovative app with tons of support groups for people of all backgrounds in a variety of situations. Love the idea of being able to pop into a live session and just listen in / participate in the chat. It really helps to hear about what others in a similar situation are going through. I’ll definitely be using Circles to supplement my weekly therapy appointments.

Thankful, Grateful, Comforted.

I was hesitant to try Circles. I actually think I saw the an app on my Glow mentral tracker app lol! I almost immediately left the chat after a few minutes but I’m glad I stuck it out.

this app is a great way to connect to, unfortunately similar stories. To know that we’re not alone and if one is in a vulnerable state in need of support - what a RESOURCE Circles is! Free, convenient, and a great way to connect, if not; see both sides of the mental process. So thank you!

Utilize This Amazing Resource

Circles is life changing. The support I have received is nothing short of everything I wasn’t given as a child or young person. I am currently struggling with my separation and coparenting with my cheating ex-husband and this app has been exactly what I needed to survive and now attempt to thrive, amidst CHALLENGING next steps. I recommend Circles to all my friends as there is something on here for everyone. Life is hard - you’re not alone.

A Safe Space

Heartache, grief, trauma—-Whatever you are going through, this app offers a safe space to connect with others who are in a similar situation.I wish I had access to something like this when I was going through my own divorce. Now, as a group facilitator, I can whole heartedly attest to the dedication this company has to providing top-notch services to everyone in need of support and encouragement as they navigate through a difficult time.

Healing my heart & spirit

This is a wonderful place where I do not feel alone. I have found comfort in dealing with loneliness, trauma, anxiety, depression. Health issues can cause me to stay inside my home. This this app has given me the confidence to go forward in life with a positive spirit. I have met a lot of wonderful people going through very difficult situations but we give each other the respect we need and deserve to heal. I will never leave this app. I have grown to love my "Circle" of friends.

Great place for those in recovery

Circles has helped in so many ways. If you are struggling with the loss of a relationship, grief, even traumatic experiences, connecting with others who’ve gone thru similar life situations can be so healing. The professionals who guide the discussions are great and really do care.

One criticism I have are the bugs in Circles . For example, when I’m in a group, I can’t message in the group chat box. My app just freezes so having to close out of Circles and miss the discussion is really unfortunate.

Other than that, great app.

Swift healing ❤️‍🩹

I joined this app late 2021 after leaving a toxic relationship. It’s been 8 months and I’m proud to say that I’ve come from such a long way from the person I once was. The therapy group is usually with individuals that have similar experiences and you get to discuss everything and anything. You will receive Tons of encouragement from the group facilitator and you get to form bonds with the other group members. Only thing is you have to be committed to yourself to heal, get out of your own way, and you will experience the best of breakthroughs.

Really excellent guide like Becca should be paid.

Becca is my favorite guide in these rooms! Whenever I get a notification that Becca’s opened a room, I go onto this app! I think a guide as helpful as Becca should be paid for her time! Perhaps there’s a way this app clients can vote for that? I believe most of the people who’ve been helped by Becca, would all agree, she is a unique gem, here at this app. We should be paying her for her time, here!! I, don’t want to loose her, myself! More importantly, I don’t want the countless others, worse off then me, to miss out, on being helped by Becca!
Please consider adding other employee options, to this app. I’m definitely interested!
Thank you!

Reaching Home

When I first started my journey with this app, I was unsure if it would be the same as physical counseling centers. I had learned so much therapeutic techniques and philosophies from that counseling center that I did think I would find that same rich qualities here.

So, I was a little uneasy and skeptical upon entering groups and forums of meeting new people. The first few groups were tough and newer philosophical healing observations and techniques. It was scary at first but I kept coming back for more knowledge which I found out more each day. I’m a lover of knowledge and experience so this is a place that I love to come too.

I had just left one door from my home of 12 years, I didn’t think I could find the right place to help my sanity out. But sticking it out and listening to some great professional facilitators and experienced guide facilitators, I quickly adapted to this app Philosophy.

Overall, my psychological, emotional, and spiritual wellness has improved and stabilized me without anyone discriminating, criticizing or judging me.

After all the years of finding a beginning to the final door, I have found the final home.

Breathing Again

This site has more than a ten on a scale one to ten. I thought I was alone in my situation didn’t feel comfortable sharing anything private with family or friends and being involved in this app it has given me the confidence I needed, the assurance that there is still some kind and understanding people still left in the world Circles for me is heaven sent
