Store mode issue still

UPDATE 12/4 went back to the retailer to return the tree. They said they might have a quick fix. The helpful staff explained they have boxes of replacement control panels and have been replacing these units constantly. It is NOT the remote. It is the control device that has the power cord and foot pedal. Once replaced it works perfectly as advertised. I have heard NOTHING from this app. BTW LEDUP also now works fine. Good luck to all returning the tree but I wouldn’t bet on any response from this app support. UPDATE 12/2…2 emails, 2 phone calls, one app support submission and 7 days later NOTHING. The reviews raving about great support must be their own staff gaslighting. I’ll be returning the tree. 11/24 Read many reviews when trying to troubleshoot this lighting. Same issue as others. I’d give it zero stars if I could. No contact w support yet as it Thanksgiving day. We’ll see what that’s about.

Defective

We had to tighten all of the connectors to get the lights to come on. Still missing one row of lights. Remote control doesn’t work. Downloaded LEDUP to 2 phones and still can’t get the tree off of store demo mode. Called the number on the instruction sheet. After 25 minutes waiting on someone to answer the call, I got put on hold “2-3” minutes for technical support. Over an hour later, my dinner cooked while I was on hold no one ever picked up. The guy got my name, phone number and sku number of the tree. I still have not heard back from anyone. I do not have time to spend hours waiting for someone to tell me I need a new tree!

Defective lighting

I purchased this tree at HD and the lighting would not come out of the initial mode using the remote. I tried using LEDUP but still did not have any luck. I attempted to contact the company and spoke with “Connie”. She assured me someone would return my call, however no one did. I also left messages on the customer service line. Also, attempted to send an email but that was returned as “mailor dameon”. So, to say the least very poor customer service. I ended up returning the tree to HD, with no questions asked.

Pretty Tree, Awful Electrical Issues

Really liked this Home Decorator's pre-lit 7.5ft Grand Duchess Balsam Fir. It's a beautiful tree and we loved it. Unfortunately, we had issues with the lights from the moment it was plugged in. Couldn't get it to turn on at first, then we couldn't get it out of demo mode. We've also had issues of the tree turning back on by itself after being turned off. Happen twice. The remote and app don't work. It never came out of demo mode. No support website for the tree or app. We'll be returning it to Home Depot tomorrow. BEYOND FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED!

Horrible Design

I could never get the tree out of demo mode. Went through Home Depot’s customer service and a part was supposed to be ordered. After 3 weeks it was still pending and I could get no reason or update as to why. I never could get LEDUP to work either. The Home Depot store was no help either. I waited for over 30 minutes for a manager which the customer service person called 3 times. Now I’m stuck with a nearly $400 tree that stays in demo mode. LEDUP and the remote are useless. I’m very disappointed in Home Depot and this experience has me limiting the about of business I do there in the future.

App will not download

I thought this year Christmas tree experience would be better then last year’s tree fiasco out the tree up fine so far so good at least it lit up but the problem I have is now when I try to download LEDUP to operate it with my phone I am not able to download LEDUP it only let me get so far and then that’s when things start getting nerve wracking. Last year I love using the remote on my phone but now this year using my new iPhone LEDUP will not download for me so now I’m just stuck using the remote that came with the teee.

Home Depot Grand Duchess balsam fir 7.5ft

We bought the tree today from Home Depot. The grand duchess balsam fir. Assembled it. But then couldn’t get out of “demo mode”. Tried everything (yes holding the two buttons at the same time very close to the tree). The directions are clear. LEDUP doesn’t work… for $500 this was a huge disappointment and now we need to take it back. We thought buying an artificial tree would be so easy but now we question it because of the tech issue. Will the devise not work next year and we will be forced to return it again then? It seems the tree is no longer on the Home Depot website anymore. Must be defective do not purchase.

LED Up Customer Service Non-Existent

My family and I love our tree, but as others have mentioned, the tree is now stuck on demo mode. It’s hard to even light our tree this Christmas season when it’s constantly flashing. I’ve called the customer service number throughout the entire week and am directed to their voicemail exactly 1:06 into the call every time. I’ve also emailed 3x as the automated phone recoding states with no response, even though they state they will respond within 24 hours. Our instruction manual also states, “If the tree fails to light due to a damaged or defective remote control, please resort to a manual on/off push button foot pedal operation UNTIL A NEW REMOTE CONTROL CAN BE PROVIDED THROUGH OUR CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER.” All I want is a new remote so we can enjoy our tree. So, so frustrating.

Home accents flocked 7.5 tree

This tree is beautiful but worthless. The remote doesn’t work nor LEDUP . The tree only works in demo mode. $400 waste of money. I called customer service and they said if I send the receipt they will
Send me a new control module for the tree. The tree was purchased by our son that was here visiting. He paid cash and now he is back in Massachusetts and has no idea where the receipt is. Customer service said they can’t help without the receipt. I call bull butter. They know the tree is this years model and it doesn’t work. Send meThe dadgum module that you know is defective!!!!! I have a fancy tree that’s all decorated and it is in store display mode. I can’t do ANYTHING with it. Unhappy customer. 😡

Missing remote

Bought a tree that was missing remote seen paper in box telling me not to worry go to App Store well it’s fine except my tree has timer options and now I can’t use with LEDUP I new I should have just returned the tree being a hassle now I can only turn on off and change lights they need LEDUP to do what the trees options have or send me a remote plz let me know if any other apps have the timer options plz

Disappointed

Bought our tree early and set it up to make sure all the lights work. The lights work but LEDUP shows all these awesome settings but we can’t use any of them. We only have the color change page that looks just like the remote. It’s fine but thought we could pick our colors.

I wish the brightness was adjustable

I got the 9’ one and everything works fine. The only thing is that the tree is huge with so many led lights and overall it’s tooo bright to keep it on all night! I actually noticed this in the home depot when I saw the sample but since it comes with a remote control I was hopping that we can adjust the brightness. Unfortunately the remore and LEDUP doesn’t have this option. I thought I would ask here if they can add this option in the next update?

Doesn’t Totally Replace Remote

You still have to use remote that came with the tree to take it out of the default “store” mode, where it cycles through all the settings after 3 minutes of inactivity, to “home” mode, where it stays on the settings you choose.

After using the remote to set the tree in “home” mode, LEDUP works as expected.

Pretty tree but is very bright!

The power button on LEDUP does not change when clicked so you don’t know if the tree is on or off unless you’re in the same room. Same for all buttons but the power is most annoying. Also is very bright, needs a large room or it feels like too much light, but it’s a beautiful tree!

A Lemon tree ended up BEAUTIFUL

Like many others, after I followed all the directions for setting up the tree, it would not go off the store mode. After making two calls to customer service, finally I was told the company would send a replacement for the faulty part. I was skeptical, but a week later the part had arrived. After attaching the new part, PRESTO!!! IT WORKED!!!! Now I have a BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS TREE! No more lemon!!!!

Works great

This works really well and is nice in case you lose the remote. For people who can’t get the tree out of demo mode, you only want to hold the two buttons once.
When you hold them down multiple times you’re causing your tree to go in and out of demo mode.
Once the lights flash twice quickly on the tree it’s out of demo mode and works perfectly.

More functions please!

I just hooked my tree up tonight and immediately downloaded LEDUP . PLEASE add the ability to dim the lights. They obviously dim because you see the do it on the slow fade function. That would make it the perfect tree ever. Tree is too bright for my taste but 5 start for value for price. GIVE US A DIMMER FUNCTION IN APP UPDATE PLEASE! Love it!

Amazing Tree & Company

This is the BEST Tree we’ve ever had — beautiful, functional and just terrific. Probably even more important is their customer service - blown away at how much they’ve gone out of their way to assist and help with QR codes + remotes. I don’t plan on buying another Christmas tree for a long time, but I’ll absolutely be looking for other products to buy from this company. Job well done this app!

Works Great

I was concerned after reading the negative reviews. LEDUP works perfectly for me. I bought this tree from HD about 2 weeks ago and set it up right away.
It was super easy to use the remote to get the tree out of Demo mode and into Home mode. Then I downloaded LEDUP. It’s been working flawless since! I’m really happy with LEDUP and the amazingly beautiful Christmas tree!!

Works quite well!

I got the Grand Duchess tree at Home Depot and am very pleased with the various settings! It works extremely well and love having LEDUP as a back up should the remote control batteries die out. If I could request an app update it would be to have “MLT twinkle” option (currently only available for the white light setting).

Love app but needs more

I love LEDUP but i have like two suggestions, maybe actually add more slides i got LEDUP and was pretty disappointed by only having one slide and it doesn’t even connect to bluetooth so i can’t play music on it and i was so sad.
Another reason i was dissapintes was that customer service won’t reply. do they even care? i’ve texted them like 15 times and still won’t answer, overall great tree

Convenient

I was skeptical about LEDUP at first because of the rating. But I have been using it for my tree just fine. All the options work. It’s very convenient for use in case you lose the remote or the batteries die.

Be Patient !

This company will help you. It’s obvious that the manufacturer sent defective Control Boxes out with these trees.

I contacted this app and they sent me a new Control Box and everything works fine now. No issues with the phone app or the remote that came with the tree.

Beautiful

The tree is beautiful, hands down one of the best looking tree’s with plenty of lighting. For everyone complaining about it not working, remember to read the manual and go through the steps to get it out off Demo mode. I too also thought I had a defective tree because it kept going back to the demo mode, read the instructions and bam fixed and worked perfectly, so far.
