Review made the app crash

CityUtilities is pretty clunky. The main reason for the one star is that the prompting to review made CityUtilities crash.

A utility company/monopoly shouldn’t ask for reviews

I should just post the letter they sent to everyone telling us that we have to pay a higher bill for the next 20 years because they were NOT prepared for some cold weather a couple years ago. Give me a break! This is Missouri! This was all politics. FJB

Password issues

Every time I tried using CityUtilities it makes me change my password every time.

Utilities changed w/o my knowledge

A new neighbor gave the wrong house number to open her account. It has been ridiculous how much of the burden to fix this is left to me. I didn’t know until she came over saying she’d paid my utilities when in fact they were about to be shut down. I’ve never been late and am a good customer. There needs to be a password to access someone else’s house.

I love the idea but the app doesn’t work

Complete and total waste of time. I can’t pay my bill through CityUtilities because the card set-up section doesn’t recognize “Missouri” or “MO” as valid names for a state. Also, Account set up takes way too long. Save yourself some time and just continue to call them. I REALLY wish CityUtilities worked, I’d get around to paying my bill much faster if it did.

Can’t pay my bill

Just created an account tonight can’t pay my bill thru CityUtilities I just downloaded to my device

Holding a bank account into the system is impossible

I’ve usually have for years and the old app you could just hit your previous payment method and use that over and over again and now the new system I can’t get my bank account to load in there without doing auto pay so I really really is not good

Doesn’t work

Complete trash. Won’t accept any payment Cards that I already had on file, won’t take new ones. Forces me to switch to a worse service. Good job.

Late notice

I am ready to pay my bill when it’s due. For some reason all notifications are silent up until I get a letter with notice of intent to disconnect. I hate that the city wasted a stamp. A text or
Something. I have the CU app. Where’s the notification just to remind me. Ultimately it is my responsibility. But a way to notify me would have saved the city a stamp.

Terrible company

It’s taken them 3 months to figure out my auto pay. They of course take no blame.. what choice do you have? They are the ONLY utility company. DONT USE AUTOPAY!!! They will mess it up, charge you fees and point the finger at you

“blocked”

CityUtilities blocked me from logging into my account that I share with my fiancé. Extremely annoying. Wont let me log in. Encourages users to not pay their bills because it won’t even let you login.

Cool Idea

Good idea to have an app to make paying your utility bill easier. CityUtilities however has been nothing but a pain in my a**. First I’m terribly annoyed on how I needed to make a new account, I had paperless billing setup and did not know my account number off the top of my head (which is needed for account setup) after a process to get my account number I make the account and try to pay my bill. When paying with debit/credit card it would not let me input the cards expiration date. Even if you scanned the card it wouldn’t put the date. Couldn’t pay with card, moved on to paying with my bank account information. Plugged it all in and sent my request to pay my monthly bill. I do not know if went through, will wait a few days to see if it has been pulled out of my account, still shows the outstanding balance and my bank information wasn’t saved. Once they get the kinks worked out CityUtilities will be useful, however wish they would’ve left it as an option. I was fine paying my bill the old way, forcing people to make a new account for no reason seems lazy. Sure a handful of people will get slapped with a late fee, not realizing the change and not knowing their account number.

Some problems…

Had some trouble filling my credit card to make my payment, rather than that I’m ok,once went through the rest was easygoing, got my email inmediatly.
Thank you👍

Tells me my balance, but won’t allow actual payment

What it says in the title. I can pay on a computer, but CityUtilities doesn’t have that functionality.

City Utilities

Pretty easy to use except EVERY time, it blocks the correct “State” entry (even when chosen from the list CityUtilities provides) saying “please enter a valid State”. It takes two or three repeated steps before it somehow then accepts it and I can move on with my life.

Outages

Always right on top of it. You guys are the best!!

Convenient

CityUtilities is wonderful! It gives you your bill and the breakdown of utilities, offers easy payment options. This is great for busy families. Thank you!

Works Great

App works great, easy to see my usage, easy to pay without visiting a third-party site!

CU App

Good job

App works great!

Once you get past the initial login, CityUtilities is nice. I like seeing my usage graphs. Makes it easy to see how I can lower my bill by turning off some electricity hogs.
