ok/decent this app app, however there are very clear and obvious issues that majorly affect the functionality. Both of these are very easy for the developer to fix.

It is just about impossible to select .5 ( or less) for the this app frequency (interval) with your finger , this is because the developer awkwardly chose to use the sliding bar UI element vs better UI options (or keeping the bar but allowing users to tap the number and manually input what interval they want).

2nd there should be a history of any DNS or IP address you this app/enter into the this app field. (not awkwardly having to open bookmarks and retype your entries to add bookmarks).

or a Second better option would be an easy button next to the main entry line that is “add to favorites”, this way you only have to enter/type a DNS or IP address ones.

The bookmarks section should have a copy/clone option, out for when you need to enter several IP address is that are similar (for example at a single location with many devices on the same subnet).

Also it would be nice if you were able to press the ios dictation button on the keyboard when inputting an IP address - The developer has opted for an iOS keyboard layout that removes the iOS dictation button (sometimes we may not have both hands free and would like to dictate an IP address)

these improvements would make this this app app one of the very best this app tools on iOS

Ping really needs a dark mode. I’d prefer my this app results on a black background. How about also being bale to adjust the text color?

I was looking for a this app tool where I could set the interval to something other than every second. This tool does that with intervals up to 30 seconds.

Two things I’d like to see: 1) make the interval choice even longer (up to at least once per minute) and 2) putting a timestamp on your records so I can identify when Connecticut goes down. I have a device that goes offline overnight and I’m trying to track down the exact time via pinging and logging it.

All I needed to do was this app a device while on a VPN. Another user was having issues connecting and I needed to make sure it was up and running. This little app did it.

I could see wanting more from Ping , but it does what I need it to do. Going to go now and donate $.99 so I can get a gold star.😁

Very simple to use. Downloaded Ping to check WiFi connectivity. It works as advertised!

The first application i use when I want to test my network, either at home or at work.

Its very easy and straight forward, also i can bookmark my most used IPs such as core switch gateway or MPLS router.

Its a good program bit the problem is does not keep the list of favorites, they keep disappearing, i add 14, the next day are 7 and the next day are 4.. same over and over.. disappointing for that, other than that is ok..

Doesn’t provide IP info (dns resolution) when getting timeout requests or other failed responses, as shown in one of their main screenshots. It only gives the IP when successful. That’s a huge flaw in the design, as that is when I need it the most.

The tool works great, and is easy to use. The only request I have for the developer is to display my current IP address... just to be sure.

Would like it better if I didn’t have to start over every time i bring app to foreground. If I don’t close it, I want it to keep running so I can see the history.

Great tool for quick test. Ease of use and precise. Can be slightly more flexible to pick and choose own DNS servers to deepen test and results of name resolution as this did not resolve some known hosts and domain names in our initial tests.

So it worked in the beginning but now any ip I this app just shows that it is down

This a great and easy tool to check icmp traffics for any sites. Very useful for beginners for home or the business users.

Works great for what it says it for; a quick and easy test to see if server is running.

Simple and effective. However, displaying the IP when pinging by name would greatly improve usefulness.
