Wasted more than a month of my time trying to work with them even with cusomer support help. I recommend you find another rental reporting service asap. I had nothing but issues with first signing up it wouldn’t let me sign up and kept glitching when I would try and connect my bank and I kept retrying and retrying, then when I finally got Boom and finally created an account I paid and thought it was ready, I kept having to reupload my lease 4+ times. Then I thought I was ok again & then it said I had portal issues, through out this I’ve been reaching out to customer support for help yet I seem to keep having issues and little help. After all of this I find out to have a email typo and I reached out for it to be changed & my account got deleted and now I have been unauthorized from creating an account. Im going to write a review of my experience because this has been nothing but issues & instead of helping me rebuild my credit I have just been wasting my time.

Didn’t do anything for my credit score and it was a pain to get my past rent payments verified. I kept getting new notifications that some piece of information was missing so I’d contact customer support and they would not read anything I wrote to explain the situation, and then respond many hours later (despite it being a “live” chat) and give a completely unhelpful and irrelevant response because they never read my message in the first place. Eventually I did get it all verified and set up and it had no effect on my score. Then I tried to do it for my husband, who obv has all the EXACT SAME rental history and information as me, and they couldn’t verify, wouldn’t read my customer support messages just like the first go around, so I couldn’t get it set up and had to request a refund even though he was the one I really wanted it for because he lacks credit history. Ultimately big headache and $60 something bucks for nothing.

First of all, let me say there is NOTHING seamless about this service. I uploaded pictures of my past lease documents and they came back a few days later and said they didn’t get them. So I had to scan them and send them in PDF files. Finally a few days later they said they got them. I gave access to my checking account, that was easy enough. My rent is the only thing I pay for with a check. So on my monthly statements there is literally one check to verify as my rent. They said my payments were missing except the last 2 months and requested I download pdf bank statements and highlight my payments. Huh?! Why give access to my checking account if you’re not actually going to use it to verify? I feel like they literally just wanted me to do the work for them. When I sent a message to ask why it couldn’t be verified, the response I received was basically- don’t worry, the last 60 days of your payments will be reported to the credit agencies. Needless to say I have spent an hour downloading and highlighting bank statements, just to upload them into Boom for them to verify my payments. If I had it to do over again I absolutely would not even bother with this service. My credit isn’t bad and I don’t necessarily need the “28 point average” they say I will get from using it. This is as a huge headache and I do not recommend anyone using it!

I’m not sure how to feel about Boom. I’ve read a lot of the bad reviews and they tend to focus on customer service. Honestly, I had a great and fast experience with customer service so this wasn’t an issue.

The problem is that this service did absolutely nothing to my credit score. When I check my credit on credit sesame (my preferred app) it shows the trade line was reported but still it did not increase my score by even one point. I’m wondering if the data was reported properly or if there is just something strange going on with my credit that could be counteracting. That said, be weary about the results you expect from Boom. If you’re like me, you may end up paying $60 for no change in credit.

I truly love the service as well as the price compared to other similar services. I appreciate how this service reports to all 3 credit bureaus, and not just 1 or 2 which is very rare. The main thing Boom/service is missing is that it does not also report utilities, phone bills, and insurance payments which is what I also considered in my search for this type of service. However, reporting the last 3 seems very rare, but it would have made an unquestionable decision if they did. My only other issue with Boom is that the credit score does seem a little off, and I keep track of all 3 of my credit scores very regularly, but this isn’t a big deal to me since I have access to view all 3. If you would like to have easy access to your generic credit score, this would be more beneficial for you. Overall decent, but hoping they can add phone bill/insurance/utility reporting in the future to make it absolutely perfect.

This is definitely a great app to have on your device, especially if you are looking to raise your credit score. I researched several apps that claim to report your completed rent payments to one or more of the major credit bureaus, and decided to go with this app. Boom cost a minimal amount more upfront than some of the others but given it reported to all three major credit bureaus and reported past rental payments up to 24 months, in my opinion it was worth it!
It was a bit of a headache going back and forth with the reps from this app as I was verifying my last 2 years of completed rent payments. But eventually I lucked out and got contacted by a super helpful representative from Boom ! This representative took the initiative to review the documents I had previously submitted and were able to verify my payments that were included, very quickly.
After noticing that this app app was showing up on at least one credit report update, my credit went up on that site +12 points.

Boom is super user friendly ! Within the first month I’ve seen a pretty decent change in my credit score ! I have experienced amazing customer service this far ! One thing I did notice is that it does take a little time to show the change in the credit score and it could've been due to a glitch in the system at the time of my sign up that would not allow my documents to be sent through . I then reached out to customer service and they we very efficient in solving the issue !

I am very satisfied with this app. I had never heard of something like this, but I looked it up and from what I read, it seemed worth it. I had good rental history with no missed payments, so I signed up, and my credit score increased around 8 points in the first couple of months. At first I only did my current home lease, but then I went back and added the year prior on a different home I rented, which increased it 5 points that month. I am really happy with the results!

Mary Way I was excited to try Boom, as I’m trying to improve my credit score. When I found out they report my rent payments to the credit bureaus I thought it was too good to be true, but it’s not. And they go above and beyond to make sure you have every single month accounted for so it can be reported to improve your credit. I had a tough time linking Boom my apartment complex uses for me to pay my rent through. Customer service was amazing, working with me all day, to find a solution. Their customer service is the best I’ve ever worked with. And so you know, I’m a real person giving an honest review who is truly using this app. You won’t be disappointed I promise!

After a failed and timely attempt to work with another company, I sign up yesterday and the this app Team was able to verify my information the same day; I couldn’t believe it was done and that easy! I’m very happy so far, as the verification process seems to be when one becomes aware of limitations of the rent reporting service with other providers. Not with BoomPay! I’m excited to see how my credit score is affected by this service and am praying that this was the solution my family needed this whole time!

I’ve been struggling with my credit for what seems like forever. When I was 19 I decided to not pay my first student loan payments for two student loans. This has kept my score around the 600s since then. I have been struggling for years trying to get it my score up ( by using credit cards and paying them on time in full). Nothing really helped until I found this app. I had only been living in my apartment for approximately three months, but I did live under the same company as my old apartments. My score went up about 71 points when I signed up. It takes about a month to see results but well worth it.

I heard about Boom a year ago, I decided to give it a try, since that day I am quite satisfied, it has helped me boost my credit score, even when I had to move in the middle of my contract, the service was very diligent in helping me update my profile on Boom (at that time they didn't have the option to do it but they said that tab would activate the option soon, they would make the change for me) a couple of months later it was like that, they did it... Boom is so easy to use that it seems incredible, simply You configure the profile and you forget about the rest, you don't need to do anything else. it's so perfect.

Signed up for this app after an unexpected issue hit my credit score and I was looking for solutions to improve it. Since I don’t currently own a home or have any major credit lines I was very excited to find out that this app makes it easy to build credit by reporting your rent payments. Seemed too good to be true but it actually worked! Super seamless app and process that boosted my score in a few months - can’t say enough good things about Boom/service, not sure what I would have done otherwise.

I am really satisfied with this app. It has stayed true with everything it promised. If there’s any problem, this app has great customer service despite not being able to talk on the phone. They respond in the chat or email fairly quickly! Boom is also very easy to use. When I first signed up, it use to have glitches in Boom which is now fixed and I haven’t had any glitch issues in awhile.
My credit score has also increased 10+ points!

this app has increased my credit score in only a short time. I had bad credit a little under a year ago. They reported my payments and now I have good credit. My score raised 100 points in less than that year. The customer service was stellar when I had to contact them with questions. They got right back to me and answered any questions I had. I will continue to use this product as it really does help credit when you don’t have any credit history.

I found Boom with the desperation of reasoning my credit score this year. I’m in the market for house buying and I wanted my credit report to also show that I’ve rented in the past. Boom is so easy to navigate and they make sure to alert you and keep you updated if you are missing a document or if there is something wrong with the document you’ve submitted. i can say that I’ve already recommended Boom to my friends and family and they’ve already seen a jump. ☺️

Hi all. I have been using this app for a few months now. As a result, I have received an increase in my credit score. I appreciate the ease of use to get started. Hey- did you know that this app reports to all 3 credit bureaus!? Try them! It’s a quick turnaround time to get your rental payments verified. Once verified (you reside where you say and pay what you indicated) afterwards, there’s no human interaction required to verify each month’s rent payment, if you select that option which I highly encourage you to do. Again…give them a try! You’ll be happy you did! 😀

Have been using this for about 9 months now and this service has been an absolute joy to use. Easy to link your bank account to and submit your lease agreement to and they report to credit every month. I have contacted their support through email with some questions about having multiple bank accounts linked and they make it super easy and will look for your rent payments out of multiple accounts if you like to switch institutions every few months. All and all a fantastic app and service 5 stars!

When I first learned about this app I was amazed with the information they provided about signing up. Once I started the program I had to reach out to a representative and it was super wasy to get in touch. The rep got back to me so quick and my account was set up super fast. The account didn’t even take that long to post to my credit reports. Since signing up with them my scores went up and I haven’t had any complaints about anything. I definitely recommend this service to those looking to boost their credit and also have a reliable company to assist.

Can I just say I wish I had known about this sooner!!!! It has already improved my credit score with just simply paying my rent with my debit card. It’s simple, quick, and easy to set up. Depending on which bank you have, it might take a bit for your bank and your apartment complex to look through your payment report, but it does indeed work.

I got 56 points out of it and I am sure with my new place it’ll be the same as well! I will continue to use this, and I am hoping that this also qualifies for mortgages as well. 🤞🏼

So I decided to try this app earlier this year to report my rent from the past 3 years and my goodness did I see a jump! Not only that, my payment history increased, I started getting approvals on credit items I was previously getting declined on.
Even after that, I was able to apply for a home loan and received a a good APR, with the ability to put a low 3.5% down payment down! I’m very glad I decided to try this app and I highly suggested anyone who wants to improve their credit score, credit history, payment history, and get more approvals to do so as well.

I debated doing one of these services for several years. I finally decided on this company because the product and the price worked with my needs. Within a couple months I saw my credit score go up 16 points. I was also able to show the last year and a half of my current rent history and I can clearly see all this information on my Credit Karma account. Most people wouldn’t think it would be a surprise that a company that mainly reports rent to the credit bureaus (any data furnisher company) actually does what it states it will do & reports info correctly. Thankfully this app does report accurately, timely, & also has an excellent customer service team. Yesterday was the first time there was a need to speak with customer service, I got a reply back very promptly. The representative was very thorough, professional, courteous, and in my opinion, went above and beyond just by emailing back to verify the info I had just stated was correct. That’s something that also very surprising to see these days. The onboarding process is really simple. Boom is easy to navigate, or if needed there are many answers in the FAQ’s. I would definitely recommend this app to any and everyone, especially though over all other rent reporting companies.
