I loved WidgetPet. I had it for over three months and i cared for my virtual pets. I love the play dates feauture, and the escapes. But the only problem is the slimy of ads. I understand that ads are how the game makes money and stays up, but it feels absurd now. It used to be where you can watch an ad and get 17 care options (to feed, water, love, and care for them), but they recently changed that to 10. WidgetPet itself is amazing, but this is a giant issue. The entire thing just feels like a way to get a quick buck now, which disappoints me. I deleted WidgetPet because i’m tired of watching 6 ads a day just to care for my virtual pets. I got WidgetPet because it looked like lots of fun, but now it feels like the complete opposite, like a chore almost. I said goodbye to Pitou and Noir, and now i say goodbye the WidgetPet .

I saw an ad for this and downloaded it, thinking that it would be fun and a cool addition to my new phone but i was wrong. I noticed that my pet hatched and so i tried to play the unlocked playdate mini games but i could not, a rectangle popped up with just an OK button on it. I sat at home all day and when i looked at my phone, my pet ran away and i was devastated, i tried giving it love and a treat so it would come back but i “ran out of care actions” and so i googled how to get coins to get more care actions but the shop wouldn’t load and my internet connection was fine! I’m guessing that the shop just had you buy more currency to get your pet back! Scams scams scams. They don’t even set you up with coins at all. I’m deleting WidgetPet.

This game seems like it would be great, but when it was done downloading i noticed i cant even feed or give my pet water, without watching an ad. You have to buy coins to feed and give the pet water aswell, and if you don’t have coins you have to watch an ad. The people who made this obviously wasn’t thinking the game through. The game ‘Widget Dragon’ is way better than this game. You don’t need coins, and there is not as many ads. FIX YOUR GAME. People who are giving good reviews I know are lying, or they’re the game’s creators making fake reviews. Please be smart and download ‘Widget Dragon’ instead. I know you cant pick which pet you want with Widget Dragon, but you do get to customize your dragon. You also get to name the dragon, which of course includes picking the gender. You can change the background, and pick out some decorations. Anyways, thats all. Have a good day everyone!

So I had this game for about a mouth and I would play it every now and then. I downloaded it on a car trip hoping it would give me a little bit of something to do but there literally is not much too it at all. You can view your pet in the wigget, which I like and I thought was handy, but to take care of the pet all you do is feed it and water it once or twice a day. Often games like this have some form of “interactivity” with the pet or mini game but this one just had tic tak toe wich is honestly just a game of luck and I personally don’t think is that fun. So I ended up deleting WidgetPet because it really wasn’t that fitting for what I wanted and it is kinda overrated in my opinion. There for I suggest WidgetPet needs some major updates because it dose have some potential but it is lacking a lot.

This game is so very fun but also I have school and I have to spend more time to school than my pet. So it’s very hard because it’s need go down quickly so when I come home my pet is at 0 then I have no care actionsBut it is a very fun game my Shiba Inu is very cute and it’s fun to take them on play dates but eat when you get care accents you have to watch an ad which makes the game a little boring because each time you watch an ad you only get 17 care actions you don’t even get an even number like maybe you could get 20 or 30 or 50 or I would be honestly fine with 15 and there’s two play dates to pick from and it kind of gets tiring playing the same things all the time but you get to play against different people which makes it more fun because some people can be challenging or some people can not be challenging Plus there’s so many pets to choose from but some of them are locked does she but you knew her as my widget pet isVery cute on my screen I made my back on lavender because that’s my favorite color. Overall this game is very fun and entertain but there is a little bit of flaws but I hope it is to be updated soon. The end of the bridge

Ive been using this widget for about 7 months now and when I first started it was great. Until they really started milking the ads, We used to be able to get 20 care points for just one ad. Now in order to fill the care bars you need too watch two ads, so you only get 10 care points now, per ad. if your pet ran away make it 3 ads, since you’ll need to get treats to get him back. Doesn't seem like that much of an issue, until you have to do it everyday. Not the easiest to maintain anymore while going about your daily day. So now my pet runs away pretty much all the time. That being said, it was a great widget and I’m sure it can be again. I don’t think anyone else brought this up, so I thought I Would.

im rating this 4 stars bcs i just got it 30 seconds ago, and i haven’t done much, so i can’t mentally rate it. it seems good so far, but the only thing is that there’s not many free pets, and there’s not too wide of a variety. there’s like 5 dogs, a few cats, a bunny, and a few others. personally, i’m a rodent person, so the only option for me to do something that fits me is get the bunny. i love bunnies, but in this one, the around the eyes part is very dark and just to keep it simple, it’s not too cute. don’t get me wrong, it’s not ugly, i just feel like it could be better. i would be so happy if you guys could add some Guinea Pigs, Mice, Hamsters, and even more reptiles so you hit everyone’s interests. and just to be fair this is a suggestion review, not a hate review. i do think it’s a good game tho.

Hi I’m going to start off by saying I love this game, but I’ve been experiencing an issue in one of the game, tic-tac-toe ultimate where when I win it gives the my point to my opponent showing that they won with what I did if you understand. Basically I would get a win and where I won with my color it shows the red line instead of green and says that they won instead of me, I don’t think it counted the win in the wins/games played for them but it showed one the win in this game spot. This happened to me 2 or three times in one game and it happened to me when I first got the game as well. I just updated the game and I am hopeful that, that will fix the problem. I love having a widget pet its adorable and its nice to have something to check up on every once in a while (its kind of like a tamagotchi) but I have a couple of requests.
The first thing is, I love the system where you have limited resources. It makes it a little more real to take care of the pet and honestly is what really kept me continuing through the game, however there is one tiny flaw in it. I understand you guys need to make money, and its fair enough to make resources cost an ad. But there need to be more ways to earn stuff. Once I ran out of turns and I had to watch an ad, I couldn’t because I don’t have wifi a-lot of the time, so I think there should be mini games you can play with your pet to earn turns to take care of your pet. Or even better, there should be an option to put your pet to sleep and as it sleeps you earn turns. Its really unfortunate when your pet runs away and theres nothing you can do about it.

My second suggestion is that pets should have animations. Maybe your dog is walking around the widget, or maybe its lying on the floor or barking at objects. This would be really cool because would make the widget pet seem more ‘alive’ and wouldn’t be just a pet staring at you. Maybe the widget could have a full background and could interact with stuff there. So its like an entire home in a widget.

I got this today and I love it! I’ve been feeling lonely and I am not very close to my family, I can’t see any of my friends either. I have already gotten attached to my pet. 😊

A have a question though. Did y’all add the death feature? Like, when the animal dies? I hope not, I get attached to animals easily and tend to be emotional sometimes, but I love WidgetPet. The things my animal says are funny too! That’s why I don’t want to experience that part of the lifecycle- even if I’m not the one going through it. I hope you didn’t, because I love my animal already!

I was super excited to do this after my mom showed me. We were on vacation and I get homesick. My cat is the only thing I can’t bring from home to the vacation and he is also the only thing that makes me want to always go back home. After my mom showed me this, I bought the pet pack. I did the grey tabby cat because that’s the only cat that’s kind of looks like mine. I love my cat too much so now that I have him on my phone is amazing! And I can actually take care of him too! If you’re looking at this and you’re about to buy WidgetPet , here is what you do. When you first get on WidgetPet , you choose a pet to have. Most of them are locked. So for those ones you can buy the Pet Pack for $1.99. It’s also a one time purchase and free for the rest of the time you have WidgetPet . Once you pick a pet, you want to wait about 2/3 hours or more depending the pet for it to hatch. I suggest doing this before you go to sleep to see it when you wake up. After it hatches you can feed it, put it asleep, and love it.

Ok, I have to admit but this is one of the best apps are widgets I’ve ever had. I have a few suggestions for the game, buy a few I actually mean one. I think you should be able to send friend request to other people and make friends. One more suggestion, I think you should also make more games that your pet can play against more people because just TicTacToe and Connect four get really boring when they are the only games your pet can play. This aren’t really complaints I just want to make more suggestions for the game. It’s the best app ever and you kind of treat the dog like an actual animal.

I really like it, but I got some really cool ideas I feel would make this game even more interesting.

I think you should add new pet types, poodles, hedgehogs, Pomeranians, axolotls, unicorns, dragons, reindeers, kangaroos, raccoons, foxes and other cool and unique pet types.

I also think you should have more options of treats, like for the rabbit, I think instead of just giving her or him a carrot maybe also give them a flower bud, leaves, head of lettuce as another type of treat you can give them.

I think it would also be cool if you can buy them gifts and toys and even buy a special cake or surprise for their birthday. I think that would be cute and cool.

Another awesome idea, I think all the pets you create should become friends. I think they should live the same house that you can purchase for them and do other things inside the house such as cook in the kitchen, okay board games and more!

Just ideas, I hope to see more soon in this game, keep up the good work. 😊

I was only looking for a widget app to spruce up my iPad. It's a very cute app. I never really & truly ENJOYED an app as much as I do this. I'm still learning as I go. Another thing: I never purchase in-app-purchases before but this is so relaxing and enjoyable that I have (it's not expensive either to say the least.
Only thing I would say to change is to include a little instructions (for people like me).
I never ever (it's true) right reviews but I thought WidgetPet deserved a big thumbs up. If I had to rate on a scale of 1-5-----I'D GIVE IT A 20 👍👍🙂🙂

Me and my SO play this Bc we heard of it on Tik Tok. It’s a neat concept and a good idea for a game. Some feedback from me: I would try and smooth out the user experience. Like a previous review said, the developing doesn’t look too complicated and it’s really simplistic. Adding more detail and tailoring the user experience to be the best it can be will bring this game to a new level. Just making a few things more seamless and tailor it more to a mature audience will blow this up no doubt. Small children may be satisfied with some clip art palm trees meaning a “vacation”, but tailoring it to a more mature audience and just working on the details will do wonders

This game is very simple, I probably could’ve developed it myself. But it does have some potential. Some fixes that naught help could be more FREE pet options. This game would be something kids would like and they would want to have a pet that looks like theirs. Parents might not want to spend money on the game though. Less ad watching, you shouldn’t need to watch so much ads to keep your pet alive. More customization, there isn’t much ways that you can change your pet and make it unique. Finally, some animation. I hate just seeing a blank cat on my home screen. I think some animations would help. Even something as simple as a reaction to petting it or showing it eating or drinking. That would really help.

so i’ve had this for some months now and honestly its pretty simple or whatever : you just make sure you feed and give the pets water and of course show them love and put them to sleep . i bought the premium and it makes taking care of all my pets a lot easier . BUT starting like 2 days ago my stuff has been glitching and a hour or so when i’d come back to feed them its like nothing registered and i have to re feed them all over again . usually i could go 5 or so hours till i feed them because i’d wait till it got down to 50% but now i have to check a lot more often because a hour ago i found out they ran away . my longest is still gone and the other 3 are back .

So if your getting WidgetPet here’s some bad things about WidgetPet :

When your pets old enough you can go on play dates/ tick tac toe and if your really bad at tick tac toe you get no widget coins (widget coins are coins that you can buy for stuff like water for a week and a lot more) and it gets boring,

Also this has not happened to me so I don’t know what actually happens but I think if you don’t feed your pet and give it water and love your pet I think it dies and you have to start over!

And here are some of the best things about WidgetPet : (and these are not all the good things about WidgetPet )

You can only have 1 pet BUT! You can buy the pet pack that gives you ♾ pets!!!! (Well maybe not ♾ but a lot!!) only for 6.99$!,

You can do a lot in this game not just make your pet live but WAYYYYYY MORE!!! When your pet is old enough to go to play dates you can do tic tac toe that gives you Widget Coins and you can buy stuff with Widget Coins like food for 1 week and etc! And some other stuff and I’ll let you figure that out!

So basically if you did not read the stuff ⬆️ it’s ok basically I think you should get WidgetPet WidgetPet is amazing that’s why I gave it 5 ⭐️s! And people who read ⬆️ I think you should also get WidgetPet and thanks for reading! :)

This game is really good and fun. I got this game during winter break so I don’t know what it’ll be like during school, but I know it’ll be hard to keep track with so if maybe like there could be like a school mode so that their love, hunger, and thirst doesn’t go down so fast, that would be good. This is also really good for people who don’t have pets and don’t really have the time for it so it’s kind a like keeping a pet in your hand and so it’s a little bit easier to handle. Also if you don’t take care of your pet, your pet WILL NOT DIE. It just runs away but if you leave food out for it and give it stuff that you usually would take care of it with, it’ll come back so don’t really be worried about that and know it will not die. But other than that I really like it and all the mini games are fun so just keep up the great work.

Honestly i love this idea its amazing and makes me so so happy! I just wish there was more options for cats other than the orange one. Preferably like a black cat and tabby like how the dogs have different breeds! I also wish it was a bit more interactive but the main issue is there's only one orange cat. I also wish the sizing was better on the screen the widget is either to small or too big. Also ads to feed them and stuff is a bit annoying but i understand you need them! Other than that its a 10/10 keep it up! Hope to see more from it in the future!

It’s nice to have a little pet even if it is a little limited but I have to say the worst part is when you don’t have any data or WiFi. Your pet will be hungry or thirsty but if you don’t The full version you have to watch an ad to feed it or give it water. I didn’t have reception and had to slowly watch my pets deteriorate from lack of food and water and I couldn’t do anything. I felt horrible and incredibly sympathetic to my pet.

WidgetPet is cute and all but, you have to pay for all the cute pets!

This game is grate and even better with the new update, but maybe you can add that there can be more pets at once like have to widgets with two different pets! Other than that I love the game!

I want a dog and another dog.
Also, I forgot to feed my dog and the heart reached zero, but nothing happened. Maybe if it does that you need to get a new one? Or multiple pets at the same time?

Ok I love this! It’s cute, fun, and creative. There is one thing that hope comes in the future. I want more than one pet at a time. Other than that awesome game!!

i love WidgetPet!! my puppy is so cute. it's super fun too! just a few suggestions... maybe be able to interact more physically like "pet" the animal and it reacts? also i would love if you added a rabbit!!! rabbits are my favorite :)

WidgetPet seems so cute and I love the simplistic look! I hope that someday you’ll be able to add a feature to change the color of the widget. I have my homescreen organized in pastel colors, so the background is a little bit jarring next to the rest of my screen. Thank you so much!

I love this game!!! The only thing I would do different is to have more to do with your pet, like be able to play a game. Also to maybe have your dog get sick as a more realistic feature. 1 other thing would be to have like medicine or a better heart section where it says if your dog feels down or mad or exited. In all this game is really good and would recommend.😃😃😁

I love this! It’s such a cute app! I do have one suggestion though. Can you add a dachshund (wiener dog) to WidgetPet ? I think that would be fun!

WidgetPet is very good the only thing that I would possibly change about it is to be able to interact with your pet more like physically Play with it or something or be able to pet it with your finger but other than that it’s AWESOME

i purchased the 1.39 expanded pet pack but it didn’t unlock anything.
