It’s true what people are writing in these reviews. Something is definitely off about ClubGGPoker. The worst player is rewarded the vast majority of the time. You can get it in with AA KK QQ or AK and someone will call you with like A7. They’ll win the majority of the time. Yeah yeah. They say that’s just variance. It’s not! This isn’t possible in real poker. Don’t believe it? Just go play a live cash game and go all in with A7. See what happens. You’ll lose almost every time when called by a legit hand. This applies to me also. Many times I’ve gotten it in in a four-way all in with what I know is the worst hand like 83 off. I’ll be up against AK, KQ, JT. 83 will win extraordinary often. I know you’ll get ClubGGPoker anyway because you enjoy playing poker. But just know that it’s not real poker. It’s not variance. Something is off.
Update, at least ten times the last year my iPhone has seriously overheated while playing on the ClubGG app. I seriously feel as though a few individuals out there have found a way to see your screen and transmit the screen. I can't think of any other reason my phone would overheat while playing. I've had to literally place my phone in the fridge to cool it down. I certainly can't prove this but I can tell you what has happened.

I’ve been playing ClubGGPoker for over 2 months now and there are some serious issues with your algorithms 1 Your app favors the week hand! 2 real poker players don’t stand a chance with what is allowed in this game I’ve had pocket kings more time then I can count and have had the hand destroyed with 7 4 8 2 and 6 2 more times then I can count this is not real poker and 3/4 of the ppl that play may be nice enough ppl but they are not poker players and have no Business being at a poker table I love the concept of what you’re doing but your algorithms need help I pay $52 a month to sit down at a table with people who don’t know how to play cards just to lose that it is not poker!!!!

I’ve seen it all in my two weeks of playing. One outters hit on rivers, flush/straight completes on river, runner runner boats killing flush/straights. It hits over 75% of the time. It’s a ridiculous rate. So bad, that if I see the “opponent” on a draw I already know he’s going bust me. So many one outters or runner runner boats hit. I don’t think there’s many real people playing. It feels like mostly bots, which makes sense why runner runner one outters hit. If you’re playing round 1, get ready for the all in donk fest. All-in on any two cards, which will bust you from what I said above. K-3 off suit? Sure! 10-2? Yup. J-5 off?! Yup yup. It’s ridiculous.

ClubGGPoker is not poker at all, it requires absolute zero skill because people will call you with 3 outers on the flop and catch it every single time. I have played for weeks and it is the same exact thing each and every time. Nobody knows how to play and the algorithm is absolutely bogus. I’ve seen quads and full houses almost 10+ times each game.. that is not realistic what so ever. Also, Every time you are on showdown, the other players card always comes on the river. And I have video of all these things I am stating here if anybody would like to see them. Don’t recommend ClubGGPoker. Use at your own waste of time.

Wish I could post screenshots but I lost a stand off to someone who had absolutely nothing until river he pulls a 8 he has one pair of 8s beats my two pairs jj 99. There’s also 2 queens on the community so he has 88/qq I had jj/99 or qq/jj qq/99 I beat him all 3 ways. Absolutely robbed. He didn’t have a flush or a 3 of a kind or any kind of straight. Just 88/qq . This is all reflected where you can review your hands post game and can look at all hands. Was enjoying this platform alot but this killed any desire to play another tournament. I’m new to poker so if I’m wrong I’d love to know somehow.

Okay so first off the main thing that has turned me completely off of ClubGGPoker is that there have been multiple times now that I am in the middle of a hand and get my hand essentially folded for me latest example I had A/10 with an ace of spades, flop comes Q/A/10 of with 2 spades the Q and 10 I raise both guys call then turn comes rag spade so I have two pair A/10 and 1 spade off of A high flush, I check then seat 2 checks and last to act raises, as soon as that happens for literally a split second it says reconnecting after that split second my hand is folded, and it makes me click “I’m back” as if I was sitting out.. I’ve reached out to support about it no reply. Also what people are saying about variance on ClubGGPoker is true I was winning from behind consistently and getting a level 2 ticket every single day and winning hands from behind to do it, ever since I bought the $50 I have only cash in about 1/4 of my games and, have lost from behind and been coolered so many times in such a short period of time it’s honestly incomprehensible. Don’t spend money on that app whatever you do!!

Only download ClubGGPoker if you like getting it in good with about 95 percent equity for your opponent to win with their 2 outer. I’m not exaggerating when I say I have lost more hands then I win when I am extremely far ahead. Variance happens but not at this alarming of a rate. My last final stage 3 tournament just finally made me quit for real. I had set over set which is already gross for my opponent and then they river quads. Yeah I get it it happens but it’s such a commonplace for the underdog to win. Something is off about ClubGGPoker and really just makes me wonder if they have bots or something. I am actually cringing when I have an 80 or so percent chance to win that’s how often I have lost on ClubGGPoker. if I could only paint how trash of an app it is: please do not download this. I want to meet the software engineers to see how RNG really works here

But that doesn’t mean their app is fair. You can have a solid RNG but manipulate your application to ensure people pay for $50 memberships.

Big difference in results if you pay them $50 vs $10 a month. It’s not variance. Won a bunch of tickets for tournaments not taking this too seriously and had to pay $10 a month to continue to use them (which is probably illegal).

Nevertheless I can’t win a significant hand since that. Just busted early w JJ vs 72 (yes, seriously) in their Saturday tourney, then it asks me to upgrade to rebuy (probably also illegal). But it’s not worth it since that cooler is similar to the 10 other times I played a tournament not at their top membership level. My favourite was flopping Broadway w ATs and having the opponent go all in and hit a full boat.

not going to complain about the variance like all the bad players here, but imo compared to other apps like pppoker or pokerbros the UI is the worst. Lots of misclicks when the buttons change based on action, when someone is sitting out it doesn’t show their stack, the vpip number blocking cards, lots of visual bugs that randomly happen, the list can go on. Latest update even makes my cards unviewable until it is my action in PLO games.

I was playing in the 100k tournament yesterday. At the time I was in 24th place out of over 3,000 people. Had pocket aces pre flop and attempted to go all in after the flop gave me 3 of a kind Aces and the person before me placed a decent size bet. For some reason I had 1k chips left over after he made me go all in and my game gave me an error. I had multiple other things connected to the wifi (tvs, Xbox, etc) and nothing else shut off. Would of easily been top 5 after that hand, seemed very suspicious considering my game has never crashed before.

Also, from what I can see the weaker hands tend to actually win more then from what I have seen in my experience playing poker.

Your odds seem off. 75 hands. 3 quads, more than 20 hull houses, and AA cracked 9/14 times. Seems suspect. Format is dumb from end of table. Sounds effects are stupid. The cheering is not necessary unless that person wins.

I stick to your odds being funny. At least funnier compared to others. I’ll give you a star back for being picky. But there are still some flaws.

Also… learned I can’t charge any device while playing because you can’t invert the screen. Having it locked one way is a flaw.

Ive been on for about 6 months now. I really like the software and how the tables are ran. I also think the player base is definitely on the softer side. All other things aside, I wish the variance and swings were was less predictable. If the game lets you sun run and win a lot of money, soon after it will be followed by a similar downswing. I track all my buy ins and u can physically see and predict when your next sun run and downswings will be. I wish it was more back and forth and less predictable if the game will be nice to you or not.

ClubGGPoker playability is fantastic. It plays just like a normal poker game. Other sites I have played in the past have not had as good playability.

With that being said, there are 3 things that I think could make this the best poker app/site ever.

First, when creating a custom tournament for your club, the blind structure should be customizable. My club is not enormous, so for tourneys, we prefer to customize the blinds to speed up the game. However, that does not seem to be a current feature of ClubGGPoker.

Second, the ability to landscape/horizontal mode on both the phone and the computer app (full screen on the computer) would make the viewing pleasure astronomically better.

Last, a fantastic feature I have seen on other sites/apps is the ability to do video chat. I understand that is a more considerable update to make, but I do really consider trying to add that feature. It provides a real, live poker experience.

All in all, ClubGGPoker is fantastic and with a few adjustments could be the best poker app ever created.

App is great…emojis keep the game fun, interface is great, run it multiple times, insurance, & animation is just right, but need to fix a few bugs/enhancements:

-***river squeeze upgrade now turns over a blank card ~50% of the time and when it turns over it’s a different card design than settings >> fix and add ability to turn off

-make manual bet entry buttons larger (so tiny, it’s easy to mistype)
-make insurance box a little bigger and/or decline option more obvious (vs small x in corner)
-add 1 or 2 more standard bet size buttons (great feature)
-enable bet slider to click up only in BB increments
-add player search or a “show me color coded players” option
-player notes occasionally get deleted
-hand history should be replayable

The concept is amazing. Without it, it would’ve been perhaps a decade or more before I could’ve played the Main Event.

I can even look forward to experiencing more mid-stakes events in 2022 that I wouldn’t have played otherwise. For $50, it really is just the right price.

Also, you can’t beat the GG poker environment right now. It’s the best software on the market.

Improvements:
1. Would like to see registration more seamless. Currently you can’t register within the Passport area of ClubGGPoker and you need to communicate through email what you would like to do. I can’t imagine the ClubGG folks prefer this either.

2. The website is difficult to navigate and there isn’t a whole lot of information there. Would like to see improvements here.

I’ve played several hours, one question: what’s the point in limiting the time to select you’re buy in, but not offering a manual entry? Custom bets are a bit tough, and iPad play is tough in landscape view. As far as the algorithm, while it may appear to favor weak hands, it might because you’re more likely to be against those weak hands later in the hand. Most live games weed out that play with ridicule, etc. I haven’t seen where one particular player gets an advantage, and that is the only real flaw when competing with each other.

App closes every time I open a different app or simple leave the ClubGG screen like to answer a call. It then forces me to restart ClubGGPoker by double tapping ClubGGPoker icon on my main screen. That’s on my iPhone. I can’t even open ClubGGPoker on my iPad because it does the same thing so when I respond to my iPad request to sign in to Apple or try to cancel that request it closes ClubGGPoker before I can even access ClubGGPoker . Like a catch 22. Can you help?

It is a 5 stars app to play poker is amazing and the graphics are fire, but where in the world is the hand history, the all time sessions and the stats they are gone you guys have to put that back I was tracking every game and studying some hands and now I can’t are they hidden somewhere or did you guys took that feature away from ClubGGPoker after the update?

One thing you do need to add is rotation on the iPad app. For those of us that run deep in tournaments we may need to recharge our battery. If I were able to rotate my screen and have ClubGGPoker rotate respectively this would make it easier to charge without having to hold the iPad the entire time and/or caused damage to the cable or the charging port itself. I understand we might not be able to rotate landscape based on the layout but rotating in portrait should be an option so that I can have my charging port at the top while it sits on a desk or on my lap.

I get a kick out of all the reviews complaining about bad beats. It’s just poker people. They clearly haven’t played much live. I won a main event seat this year in just my second month of subscription. First time ever playing in the main event, I made it half way through day 4 and cashed for 23k. Thanks GG! My only disappointment was that they didn’t host a party for main event winners. Was really looking forward to it.
