Ok but needs improvement
I got this grill because of ExpertGrill . This is what pushed me over the edge compared to the pit boss. But ExpertGrill won’t alarm on the phone when it reaches temp. It just beeps outside. Plus whenever the phone screen goes to sleep you lose you connection. Please fix these issues especially the audible alarm on the phone for temps and time.

It works sort of.
Not the best app I’ve ever used. It turns the grill on and makes adjustments but it has to reconnect every time you change screens on your phone. It’s slow and clunky. I think it could use some major improvements.

Poor design and poor customer service.
ExpertGrill would be great if the WiFi was stronger and if the probe setting was accessible.
With the WiFi a person pretty much has to be “in the line of site” with the device and within 20 feet.
Then with the probe, it works, but there is no way to hit the “ok” button after changing the temperature. The keypad is in the way and the developers don’t seem to be worried about it. iPhone 12. iOS 15…

Borderline useless app
ExpertGrill is pretty much useless, yes you can change temp and prime with it. But it looses connection every time phone goes to sleep or you change to another app. Most of the time you have to clear ExpertGrill and reopen to reconnect. Definitely disappointing.

Disappointed
App keeps disconnecting. I bought this grill because of this feature. I am disabled so using ExpertGrill would save me climbing stairs to check temperature etc. I can’t set temperature or anything using ExpertGrill . Very disappointed!

Problem app
ExpertGrill connected to the grill at first. Then it lost the signal although my phone had not moved. It will not connect to my phone at all now and when in search mode only shows expert grill_Richard’s Applewatch. It is a problem. I have an iPhone 13 and an Apple Watch series 7.

Headache
Won’t stay connected and will not reconnect to phone unless I delete ExpertGrill and reinstall it.

I bought Expert Grill M# 720-0968 (4 burner with side burner) at Walmart. In less than a year the grease tray and drip tray rusted out. I've tried ever since to get replacements to no avail, always out of stock. Since that time the interior structure of the grill has rusted through in the area that the burners attach. In addition the heat defusers have rusted out. I have talked to representative on the phone and got nowhere. This is probably the worst grill I have ever purchased as it has been unuseable for over a year. Also, I purchased a cover for it the day I bought it and it has been cover continually. Won't ever buy anything sold under this name again.
