Worst app ever

The worst app I have ever used. I was trying to add 30 second subtitles and MixBit made it so difficult. First of all it barely lets you get an accurate time because you can’t manually enter the time. I even made an in app purchase to be able to download my work, but was still unable to after I purchased it. Absolute waste of money. I want a refund.

Extremely Disappointed

It’s a decent app but i was only able to caption 3 videos before I had to pay money. I get that MixBit developers have to make a living somehow, but it makes that app unusable. It’s so frustrating to me that every single auto-captioning app costs money and not everyone can spend that. Captions are a necessity to people who are hard of hearing and people shouldn’t have to pay extra so they can understand something. I can understand charging for special fonts or colors but it charges you to use MixBit at all

Doesn’t work!

I bought MixBit to help me save time so I didn’t have to translate videos on my own but it didn’t do what it was supposed to do. It kept getting stuck and I had to retry four different times and it still didn’t work. By the time I uploaded the video it kept giving me an error message saying that I couldn’t translate to the language that I wanted which is Indonesian to English. And for the parts it did translate, alot of it was wrong so when I tried to edit manually I got more errors. I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

Purchase required - wish I’d known before editing.

Spent the past hour editing the captions on my little iPhone video only to find out I had to purchase a plan at the end. Would have been nice to know that from the get go. I really had just this one little video I wanted captioned for my deaf friends. So didn’t want to purchase a monthly thing. Sigh. Wasted a good hour. Oh well.

Transcription did not work well for me

MixBit was not able to accurately transcribe my video. I’ve tested other apps and subtitles were accurate, so this is an issue with MixBit. I paid the $2.99 to upload a prerecorded video but transcription was missing chunks of text, so it’s not usable for me.

How do I get a refund? I can’t use MixBit to caption my videos if the captions are not accurate and doesn’t pick up all audio.

Please help me get a refund!

So Difficult to Edit

Though the auto generated subtitles worked really well, trying to edit them and the times was simply impossible. There’s no button to add or delete a subtitle and there’s no easy way to changed the length of time that a subtitle is shown. MixBit would so good if it were easier to edit the already given subtitles.

Accessible cc on social media

Whenever I'm on scrolling social medias such as FB, IG, Tiktok, or other social videos etc....some of them were on cc or made subtitles and others are not. I wish that app turn on itself when I need to scrolling social medias video enjoying the laughter. I had to record this video and put it on app to see what they said. Lot of time wasted to doing it repeating one at a time video recording.

Descent but Needs Improvement

So I’ve been using MixBit to help me automate captions. And it’s been descent. The auto-transcription definitely helps. I’ve been using “Brazilian,” which is funny cause the language is Portuguese from Brazil actually. No such thing as “Brazilian language.” And with that the transcription often messes up quite a bit of words.

Which wouldn’t be a problem if it wasn’t a pain to edit them. The boxes for a word you erase or change doesn’t automatically delete, and no way of adding new tiny boxes within the bigger ones. Besides that altering the time stamps is a pain. If I wanna break down the subtitles into two separate sections, so they actually match the image better you can’t really extend the time further of the second one to actually match the time. You can only cut the first one shorter. You can also cut the time for the one right after but that just adds another text box rather than extending the one you wanted to go further.

Besides that the last lacking element is positioning the subtitle. Also very limited positioning options. Maybe cause i used the tiktok template. Possible.

In the settings what I’d also say is descent are some of the possibilities for color, and styles.

Cool App, but

MixBit is really cool and user friendly. I love it, but couldn’t figure out how to remove the watermark which is the reason for my review. I needed to caption a video fairly quickly, so I downloaded the Subtitle app, but quickly realized I couldn’t download any video without purchase. I purchased the personal subscription. I was able to download my video, but not remove the caption, so I updated my subscription to the top tier (business) and still not allowed to use video without caption. Now I’m stuck with a $45 payment made to Subtitle and no video still. I canceled my subscription, and would love a refund. Instructions are not very clear on what’s included in each subscription.

More editing options please

I love it, so much faster than adding manually just wish there were more options for multiple speakers or better help if there already is

Works well

Although translations to Spanish are completely inaccurate but subtitles to original language in English (the only I tried so far) works 90% well - You’ll have the option to edit text before adding it. Thanks!

It’s ok

Honestly I love the idea of MixBit and it’s easy to use my main complaint is you can’t move the text to a different part of the screen. For me I want to use MixBit to create subtitles for videos I post on tik tok but where MixBit puts them you can’t see and I can’t move them. Other then that it’s a great app.

Great for quick closed captioning

Really simple and easy to use. The only thing I wish it had would be the ability to manually adjust where you want the captions, but other than that, I highly recommend.

Amazing so far!

Been looking for something like this for awhile and love it. It’s super easy to edit the auto generated captions with the format they have it in. Highly recommend so far.

Voice recognition

I downloaded a Facebook live video and the voice inflictions seem to cause the voice not to be picked up. Not sure if I can fix this, but I’m have to put all the text in myself.

really great for my work

but please add some customization so that we can translate Manuel because some of the automatic subtitles are not 100% sometimes we need to add some manual subtitles but seriously this is a great application please keep us updated

thanks 🌹🌹

Really cool! Helpful

I’m trying this for first time and so far really good! I’ll provide more feedback later when I have tried more features.

Awesome app for tiktok. My cousin is deaf, masks are making deaf communities lives harder..

I was so happy when one of the TickTock influencers talked about MixBit and completely opened so many peoples eyes to how hard it is especially now for the deaf community. Everyone deserves to feel included and 10 minutes of my time to edit a 2 1/2 minute video and check it means that my cousin can really hear me when I tell her I love her on TickTock… I’m sure I spelled TickTock wrong but I’m 42. It’s ok

It was unexpected

This is a totally great app! I wanted to be able to have subtitles on videos and tried some out. This was the best one because the accuracy is solid, it’s fast, saves high res and I can use recorded videos in my phone. Other ones wanted me to shoot live. It doesn’t add commas or such but when you look over for accuracy you can still edit. I chose the lowest level subscription since I don’t do a lot of this stuff and so far I am delighted! Especially since I can trim video before I begin and use only the time I truly need.

Translated a song!

Just used it once (so far) but it translated a few lines from a Tina Turner song. Could be a keeper. Gotta keep using it. App pushed me to leave a review. I’ll swing back after more uses.
