Salata Salad Kitchen Reviews

I never review things ! But this has me frustrated to tears ! I’ve spent over an hour on this stinkin app trying to order dinner for a family of 5 to pick up on way home from gym . Well first of all I had to reset my password but it wouldn’t accept ANY password until I came up with something horribly insulting believe it or not .. haha . But that’s besides the point , it was a pain in the rear ! Then! The toggles to add dressings and proteins is a gosh darn night mare , you are adding several without even knowing it (up to 4) so when you go to check out and you have 4 orders of spicy chipotle chicken on your 10 year olds small salad , don’t even try to take it off at the end becausw their is NO editing ! And THaT is how they get you ! Because they know dang well you are so close to pulling your hair out by then , that you rather pay the $75 for 5 salads than to spend another wasted moment on this God for Saken app !

SalataSaladKitchen is awesome. So easy to use and laid out nicely. All of the extra features to help with special diets is great, also

The only improvement needed is there seems to be a disconnect between SalataSaladKitchen and the stores for extra dressings. When adding extra dressing on SalataSaladKitchen , the most you will get is 1 extra (for a total of 3) in store - even if you select 5. It doesn’t seem to print on the tag they get. This happens at all locations I go to and I go to many. Then, to get more I have to pay in-store and wait for them to get more. It’s a small thing, but other than that great app. With that fix I’d give it 5 stars.

Decent app. Everything is essentially functional. I spend the majority of my time giving my salads cute names which is fun. I should get them trademarked lol.
Here’s the major knock: when you order any amount of protein greater than 1, SalataSaladKitchen defaults to just a singular order at checkout. For example, I just tried to order 2 pieces of salmon by sliding the toggle bar to 2. However, on the checkout page it just shows 1 piece of salmon and price reflects as such. So, when I get to the store I’ll have to pull out my credit card so they can charge me $4 for another piece of salmon. Might seem petty but could lead to major frustrations if 1) the place is busy, or 2) have to open up your bagged and boxed order to slip in the salmon or worse, use an additional packaging for the added salmon. Wasteful! Please fix!

Every location I have been to has always been fresh! I Love the Conroe location because it’s always so clean and Fresh! I wanted to try a new dressing and they were very accommodating for letting me try a few different ones to make that finally yummy decision. I love that I can always count on this place to fill my salad cravings! It’s literally the subway for SALADS (: you get to make your own salad with any toppings you want and as much as you want besides a few that are extra like the protein. Over all if you are looking for a quick salad this is the place to go! I come here like twice a week!

If you get an order to go there is no option for your salad to be mixed up. You have to write in special instructions. I usually remember to do that but I could understand if someone was expecting to have it mixed up already. The boxes are small and are hard to toss in the to-go container.

It’s also easy to get the portions wrong on the proteins. Could be better but still happy with my experience.

SalataSaladKitchen has a lot of good features and of course it’s super convenient to be able to order without going in, and save your favorite type of order! Sensitivity on the screen when selecting ingredients is poor and there is a delay of 2 to 3 seconds when you select an ingredient. I do not see how to edit your order (you can edit the store location but not the meal) which would be great when it asks you to change your order because one ingredient is not available, but no, you have to start all over from the beginning.

Happy there’s an app it’s easy to use too. Just needs some improvements:
- does not allow you to edit an order you added to the cart
- does not specify what the moving scale means for salad dressing, meat, etc
- once an order is placed, it does not show up anywhere in SalataSaladKitchen for confirmation, only in email
- can’t track the order- would be nice if you could see once it’s ready instead of waiting 20-30 min for when it says it will be ready. I’m sure often the salads sit waiting on the shelf to be picked up.

The biggest problem is SalataSaladKitchen doesn’t have a “cart” button so if you navigate away from the ordering section, your order gets erased. Also, if any change occurs on any of your saved orders ie. they don’t have tomatoes that day, then the entire order is null and you have to restart from the beginning. You can’t edit it. So you end up wasting time. Marking favorites doesn’t matter. And lastly, when typing in the boxes, the keyboard covers the section and you can’t see what you’re typing. Just super annoying issues that if someone in development had actually tried to order off would have noticed.

I had to take a break from SalataSaladKitchen b/c of the item shortages, but when I come back to use it, it is still not user friendly. They added in an automatic tip that was hard to notice and can’t be undone. I like to tip in cash and choose how much I give. SalataSaladKitchen is not Accessible Use friendly either. How on earth are y’all in the iOS App Store without the option to pay with Apple Pay? Insanity. Get more pay options instead of the unsecured manual card entry. It’s been years, add the functionality of being able to see past orders/edit favorites when things are out of stock. Clunky, cumbersome, and overall terrible app.

As far as I’m aware, this is a new thing. But I just noticed as I placed an order that a tip was automatically added in. I pressed the “place order” button before I noticed the tip had been added so it was too late for me to take it off. This is what’s called a deceptive or dark pattern in UX design and it is not okay. You need to remove this from SalataSaladKitchen . It also seems like prices have gone up which is unfortunate, but prices are going up everywhere so I’m not as worried about that. Just upset that my already expensive wrap became more expensive with an automatic tip..

Ordering on the computer is much easier. I have an iPhone 11max and the location of the ordering buttons is at the very bottom of the screen, which makes selecting them difficult. My screen kept closing, or I had to push it over and over to get the order recofnized. Also, I wanted to edit an item in my cart and there wasn't an edit option. I had to delete the order and then start over. I would have just used my laptop if I'd have realized it would be easier!

While I LOVE Salata, I was not thrilled when I picked up my To Go food. Alyssa (at the Sawdust, Texas location) was working the cash register, and when she finished, she went behind the counter to help with the To Go counter. She didn’t wash her hands. She then pulled down her mask below her mouth, licked her finger and used her moist finger to open the plastic bag. She then used the same hand to put my salad in the bag. Covid or not, it is gross and unsanitary to lick your fingers to open a bag and then place the food in the bag... never washing your hands. 🤢🤢🤢🤢

Hoping next time I order, Alyssa is off that day or on a different shift.

I’ve had some really great experiences with Salata in Katy. Are used to go inside and order along the line but then discovered SalataSaladKitchen . It’s been super convenient to use SalataSaladKitchen swing by and pick up Masalla then be on my way. They have great quality control with the items that I like on my salad and I can request double servings of a few things that I really like. Five stars to Salata!

Never ever write reviews but I’ve been eating at Salata for a long time. Used the web app and now the iOS app. This last update or application in general is not working. The favorites are my goto and since the big change I can no longer use newly created favorites or any for that matter. Always get a dialog box saying this can’t be added or that can’t be added or add bread and do not have the option to do so. You guys should have real world testers because we end up getting salads elsewhere because can’t just select a favorite, order and pickup like before. What happened?!!

SalataSaladKitchen does what it's supposed to, find a location and place an order. But what doesn't make sense is why the salad's nutrition isn't found in the order. If you want to determine how many calories you've eaten and its nutritional value you need to reenter all the items you've had and then navigate through a completely new screen. Why can't I just automatically get the nutritional information from my orders? It is unnecessarily redundant.

So I have favorites. That makes it easy to order. However our Salata seems to be short on everything form cucumbers to snow peas everytime I order. Instead of leaving out that item in the long list, I have to start completely over. That is utterly insane. I seldom got to use the greatest feature, favorites, because there is no way to edit a favorite I have found.

I die every time I order from pure frustration. One of my worst app experiences ever.

App works great. However one thing that should be added is the ability to change the quantity of a particular salad in directly in the cart. Right now if you wanted two of the same salad but forgot to change quantity while making the salad, you have to go and make the same salad again.

SalataSaladKitchen is extremely frustrating because you can’t reorder anything you’ve ordered before from your favorites. If one item is not available on your salad, it doesn’t allow you to edit the order. You can only click “OK” and you have to start a brand new order. This is basic functionality that there really isn’t an excuse not to have. I see someone else has mentioned this in a review 8 months ago where they indicate they’re working on it and they still haven’t fixed it.

Simple easy to use app, however not all of the dressing options are listed, so you have to type them in the comments and hope the store sees them. Also, once the salad is in your cart, there is no way to edit it, only delete. That was kind of frustrating when I forgot to ask for my dressing on the side.

I really like SalataSaladKitchen - it’s intuitive and easy to use. I wish there was a way to go back and edit an order, though, after adding it to the basket. I had to delete my wrap and start over when I wanted to change the ingredients, which was kind of irritating, and the reason I’m only giving four stars.

I love salata such good staff and good quality meal. But I think the point system is bad , you spend a $100 then you get $7?!! How does that make sense? I think it should be like for every dollar you get two points or something better! Also if they add like a discount place for members, I don’t know. Also I would love to be contacted because I have questions. Thank you

With out Salata I don’t think I would be feeling as good as I do now. Have had to change my diet drastically and having salata as an opinion afforded me the ability to still go out for a meal and eat healthy. A bonus is I have lost 25 lbs along the way. The ultimate bonus is that I feel better.

SO HAPPY Salata has an app now!! It’s what I’ve been waiting for. Love that I can easily order my usual by having it stored in the favorites tab. Also love that I can build my own meal and see what the nutrition facts are. Not many restaurants have that visibility for their customers.

Salata is one of my favorite spots to eat around town. The staff is always so inviting and friendly. SalataSaladKitchen is super easy to navigate and helps me put an order in for pick up as I’m usually on the go with work and don’t have time to dine in.

I’m so excited that Salata finally has an app! And it doesn’t disappoint. So easy to use and I can still create my unique order without any trouble. This saved me so much time in my day. Will definitely be using it from now on.

Love SalataSaladKitchen and how it makes mobile ordering easier and more efficient. Especially love the Nutrition Builder and the allergy filter as someone who eats gluten and dairy free. Really user-friendly too!

There is nothing better than being able to grab a healthy, quick meal. I especially love how seriously they are taking the health and safety of their customers and employees right now.

SalataSaladKitchen makes it so easy to order my favorite salad!! I love that I can save my favorite salad combinations for later to make ordering a breeze!! Also, I’m here for anything where I can earn rewards!! I’ll be ordering so much more now!!

Finally! Salata has an app! I love the rewards and I LOVE that my delivery fees are so much less when ordering through SalataSaladKitchen. Also I can save all my salad recipes for myself and my family. Amazing.

Salata has the freshest salads, cleanest facilities and kindest staff. Everyone the is so friendly and helpful, I just can’t say enough how well we were treated.
