My card was declined (for an online purchase so I didn’t have that embarrassment in store at least) but I had paid the card in full and the payment and available credit had cleared. I tried to use it a couple more times online, still declined. So I contact support and they tell me my card is frozen because my account is under review. But they won’t tell me why it’s under review or when my card will be unfrozen. I think it’s been about a week now.

TomoCard itself is very glitchy too. If you make a payment and it says there was an error, just close out TomoCard , wait a few minutes, and open it again. It will most likely show your payment went through. If you don’t close out TomoCard and just try to make the payment again, then it will likely pull a double payment and they won’t refund your double payment - they’ll say it’ll just count as extra available credit. Never mind if that screws up your budget for what’s in your bank account.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT apply for this scam. Any purchase you make has to be paid in 3 days or less and absolutely does nothing for building your credit. Go with an actual repetible company and save yourself the headache of dealing with this joke of a company!

App is way too buggy. I couldn’t even finished my account setup.

I get that this is a “startup company”, but the they’re terrible to work with. You can’t get anyone to pick up when calling customer service during advertised business hours. If you’re lucky enough to get anyone to answer the “live chat”, there are some representatives who are rude and unhelpful. Then, after they freeze your card with no warning or explanation, they close your account with, again, no warning or explanation. Communication is lacking and TomoCard and website is nowhere close to functional. You can’t simply add or remove your own bank accounts.. you have to contact “support” (and I place support in quotations because this team is actually not supportive at all). Do not waste your time.

This is not a credit card. They do not report to any credit bureaus! Do not waste your time!

The ads about the card are misleading. Promotes $10k and got $250. Asks me to make 12 months of payments weekly to raise my credit line. Absolutely ridiculous. It’s better to get secured card or low credit limit credit card, pay full each month which helps with your credit score. I will report this company, and dispute to credit bureaus.

Horrible company!! I am on my 7th month waiting for an answer and nothing. I seen many reviews of people claiming they are a scam.! I believe they are

Why do you say you don’t check credit you go off bank avoiding, need at least 1k in account, and still get denied wow

They refuse to give me a line of credit because my social security number doesn’t exist? Yeah ok. Sure. That makes no sense.

TomoCard doesn’t work for people with Wells Fargo

TomoCard has made me apply multiple times just to tell me my application was not submitted my application too. I have walked through the process to be told that the information I have entered was not accepted or inaccurate. I just want to make sure TomoCard is legit and works as others have mentioned!

The moment i really need the card is when they don’t approve me which is incredible, if its based on bank movement, its their and positive as well, direct deposits, checks, transfers, payments of credit cards… thought tomo could be a support in order to not touch income early

I used this card once and I still have it but I doubt I’ll ever use it again. I made a order and think’n i had a month to make my payment. I did reach out to customer support and asked why was my bill already due that I had just placed the order just a couple of days before. Also asked was the whole amount due. Yes it was which wasn’t a problem as I’m trying to build my credit back up. I also was think’n I had four weeks and the only reason I’m sure I thought that was because of the others apps almost as such as Tomo. The payment is due in full when the payment due is due. The total amount. I was told they are working on making it better. Anyway it’s an okay card just make sure you have the money for what you spend. Remember it’s all due at once and this make not always be like this after so many times. I didn’t ask that. Read read and make sure you understand. Not a bad app at all

After the new update TomoCard will not open can not see anything

After I got the card, thinking it was like a regular credit card, tried for renting a car and found out that there is a block on it for that. I was rather frustrated as I was not informed that the card wasn’t available for use everywhere Mastercard is accepted as advertised. I would just caution people to ask questions and read the fine print. The company means well, but just have to be a little bit more upfront with what the card is TRULY capable of. I feel nervous using the card not knowing what might be approved or not, based on what ever criteria they have. It’s rather annoying and hope they can let me know what kind of or where I can not use the card.

This card essentially operates as a weekly charge card. I have to admit I have challenged credit so I was happy to have gotten a credit card with over a 1k limit. However getting debited on a weekly basis isn’t super useful seeing as most people get paid every two weeks as opposed to every week. Granted this is probably to minimize risk but I don’t think that’s feasible for most people. The best strategy I’ve come up with is if I’m going to use this for large purchases for me to use the card right before I get paid. But at the same time one can ask themselves why not just use a debit card to begin with 🤷🏿‍♂️?. That being said this is a relatively new company and I’m sure they’re looking into it. Keep up the good work team.

It gave me a good starting limit compared to my other cards at the time, but credit reporting is slow; it took me them a few months to finally show on Experian and Equifax, and despite contacting them multiple times, I still don’t have them on my TransUnion report...

...But the good is that it always shows on-time $0 balance and payment history, so I generally use this card during reporting period of my other cards when I pay off the others and they also show paid off on-time 😁

If you tap to pay, it neither has it in the card, nor does it support Apple Pay, chip or swipe only.

I also use this card for business expenses, but it doesn’t sync with Expensify or other 3rd parties, and there's no .csv export either, so those have to be manually entered.

When it first came out, 14 people used my referral link to join the waitlist, but I didn’t receive one red cent for anybody signing up. Not the end of the world for me and I hope it's fixed by now, but it’s still a bit disappointing.

good card, helped me get a car loan. if you pay on time there’s no issues , so I’ll keep using it

The concept, card, and app have significantly improved in the past year. Initially the reporting had a few bumps, but it seems like it’s been all ironed out.

Excellent card that I’ve been using to build credit that others wouldn’t accept me for. Hope to see further developments and growth - very excited for Tomo.

I was told months ago I was approved and I have yet to hear anything back😕 is this jus a scam?

Received an email that they would get back to me, but have yet to hear from Tomo. If they email me back, I’ll update my review.

I applied and they told me I was on a waitlist and would hear from them in September. We are now 20 days into September and there is no email from them. I applied in JULY.

I emailed them a week ago. No answer.

If this is how you treat potential customers I am not confident in how to you treat actual customers.

I wish I could actually see what the hype is about. Been on the waitlist for a while now.

My boyfriend and I both signed up for this card months ago. I reapplied back in April because I never got an update and I was # 4,000 on the waiting list. I still - 7 months later, haven’t received an offer or update. It makes you reapply every time and you can’t check your current spot on the waiting list. That’s ridiculous.

Great idea and super quick sign up process, very easy to use app and the stacking of rewards will make for an addicting referral process

This is a scam. Someone needs to look into this business and sue them. Once they have your method of payment in Tomoboost, they no longer allow you to cancel it. They will continue to charge you. There's no phone number to reach and the email address only gives automated response with their time supposed office hours. They will never resolve it, you have to talk to your bank/credit card (method of payment) to deny the transactions. Tomo will then report you. This is an absolute scam.

I haven’t received the card
