CardPointers for Credit Cards Reviews

If you’re anything like me, you have more than just one credit card and you try to maximize the rewards, benefits and value you get from each of your cards. CardPointers is by far the absolute best tool to help you achieve those goals. It will remind you of outstanding offers you have for each card, help you keep track of your spend towards signup bonuses, remind you of credit offers that may expire soon (Amex $10 GrubHub statement credit expiring soon for example) and much much more. Not just that, customer support is out of this world! I’d give them a 1,000,000 out of 10 stars for customer service and ongoing upgrades to CardPointers . This is my go-to app and I couldn’t see myself managing over 20-credit cards without it. I highly recommend CardPointers and the paid version as well. The cost of CardPointers is easily paid back by the signup bonuses you’ll make with the help of CardPointers. 👌🏽

This is phenomenal. There is no simplified app like this out there that does what this does. Believe me-I had been looking for a long time. Besides the clean, simple, very accurate (super important) information it contains, the customer service is outstanding.

I had a question, wrote to Emmanuel. He wrote back right away. Then, to make it even more rare for anything customer service related these days... he wrote me back a week later just to double check I got things figured out. (Btw-It wasn’t a problem with CardPointers -it was a separate question regarding Apple and the new iOS)

I could not recommend CardPointers any more for those who have a lot of credit cards, and find it hard to make sure to not only use them enough to not get them closed for inactivity-but to make sure you are using the correct card to maximize your rewards. The bonus is CardPointers will let you keep track of your limit, when you opened the card, the apr, and other data points related to the cards-it even has opening bonus information for the cards.

This is new and although it is already off to such a great start-I can’t wait to see what becomes of this in the future. I am a member of a few credit websites and I have posted info on CardPointers to the members. I have never done that with a product nor do I write reviews. This is how highly recommended CardPointers is.

Here are the things I like about CardPointers: beautiful interface with the ability to change color and customize card features. You don’t have to connect your banks, just add the cards you have and it will populate the data associated with that card including SUB, offers, category bonus. If you have a customized offer, you can add that yourself. You will be able to see which card gives you the best bonus per category. For Pro users you can track you SUB spending to make sure you reach your MS. It also tracks 5/24 (kinda) and total annual fees

Wishlist items: Create a Player 2 option so I can track their 5/24 separately from mine; a suggested timeline to apply for the next card.

Other than that, I really appreciate the quick response to my inquiries if I run into any problem.

CardPointers is absolutely amazing. Though I got extremely lucky with a free life-time membership a while ago (short holiday promotion) I can easily see the value in CardPointers with a premium subscription. Extremely polished app with tons of features, new cards being added quickly with the help of a very dedicated, responsive (and extremely nice) dev that puts tons of time and effort in it.

I use CardPointers for everything from keeping track of sign up offers (which the dev has pre-loaded sign ups that the card issuer has at the time)so I don’t miss any sign up bonus, to quickly knowing what card to use when at checkout due to either revolving spending categories…or memory lapse. Everything the top comments say is true. Without a doubt one of the best Card Tracking apps I’ve downloaded yet!

I had been looking for an app like this for a long time. As someone who has 18 credit cards, it gets tedious trying to figure out which card to use and where. CardPointers is just what the doctor ordered.

I haven’t even had it for 2 hours yet and I have been emailing back and forth with the developer, Emmanuel, and he has already fixed or made note to fix every issue I reported. That’s got to be some kind of record because I’m used to devs that take days to respond seemingly without actually reading what I sent them.

I also really like that it shows you the best offers to sign up for new cards. I’m currently in timeout on new card apps because the cards I want require me to go a period of time without new ones but when I’m ready, the information on sign up offers and the application will be a tap or two away.

If you have a card that has rotating categories like the Discover IT card, the categories in this app will be updated accordingly. Like I noticed that restaurants are 5% right now, something I forgot about this quarter.

I don’t really use Siri much but I am sure that functionality will appeal to many.

If you use rewards credit cards, you’re doing yourself a disservice by not checking out this app!

This is a great resource for people who have a lot of credit cards and are usually unsure of which one is best for each individual purchase. Credit card companies and banks are notorious for having bad apps or hard-to-understand websites and CardPointers definitely fills a niche for those users.

I also want to highlight the quick work and amiability of the developer. I noticed that a couple of my cards had incorrect information. After contacting the developer, he had a fix for it within a day without even requiring an app update and he responded back personally with that information and a thank you for using CardPointers and pointing out the error.

CardPointers is brand new and is already serving as both a solid utility as well as a good iOS citizen. More apps need to be like this one.

First off, I absolutely love CardPointers and it has a place on my main home screen ALWAYS! However, I’m inquiring about a feature request that would make it the ultimate go to app. Anyway possible to implement GPS reward tracking per card? Say, I’m going to a Starbucks. . . Open CardPointers , shows me which one of my linked cards I should use to get the most points, cash back, etc.
If that’s possible in an update, I’d be blown away and can delete the other similar apps with that ability. It’s just very pleasing and convenient to use a single app for automatic most points per purchase card. We can see the information per card but if it showed a list via gps or the store were at, that would be great!!!

Every credit company is trying to distinguish themselves from the competition, and each credit card of the same company offers many different benefits. That’s where CardPointers comes in. It makes it very easy to track benefits of each credit card. Just open CardPointers , add your credit cards and you can see which credit card you need to use for what.

Another best feature of CardPointers is that it shows points-to-dollar value for every credit card. Each company tries to hide the true dollar value of their points, and that makes it difficult to see which credit to use. Solid app. 10/10 recommended.

There have been numerous occasions where I have been standing in line at a grocery, pharmacy, or home improvement store and have wondered if any of my credit cards have bonus cash back offers this quarter for my purchase. CardPointers solves that problem by showing in one screen which card I should use. CardPointers also has numerous features I don’t use (like alerting me when I walk into a store of which card I should use) that are also very helpful to some users. This is also one of the rare apps where the developer is reachable and approachable and is willing to take suggestions and feedback on CardPointers . We need more apps like this.

I was keeping my credit card rewards info in a Note on my iPhone. As it was getting more awkward to use, I thought that maybe some developer had created an app for this kind of info. I found this one which is perfect for my needs. It’s clean, clear and mostly accurate. Going by how quickly the developer got back to me after I submitted a suggestion, I’m guessing quick card data edits shouldn’t be a problem. Thank you to the this app developer!

CardPointers also uses the Sign In with Apple which doesn’t seem to have spread all that far yet. And it’s on my watch which should be useful for those last minute checks while in the cashier line.

If you are like me and have various flavors of Discover, MasterCard, Visa, Amex, iJustGotThisCardForAdiscount, you end up forgetting which card gives you the best benefit in any category. Whether that is cash back, extended warranty, or car hire insurance (do you know if your card offers primary or secondary?) this app has you covered. Just enter your card types and brands (no account numbers) and let CardPointers tell you can e.g. get 2pts rather than 1% for charging dining. Want the best new card holder bonus? this app is your one stop shop. Highly recommended. Plus their customer service is incredible…45 mins to respond to a general question on a Saturday!

As mentioned in other comments, CardPointers is an incredible one-of-the-kind Swiss-knife for people enjoy maximizing their credit card benefits. When I first downloaded it few years ago, there was just one tab recommending credit card for different spending categories. It was a good enough by itself, but they continue to surprise me with even more consolidated console interface for fee and benefit overview. I also found reminders on using benefits very useful, such as that monthly dinning credit provided by AMEX gold. I’d recommend anyone with multiple credits CardPointers as an ultimate credit card benefit manager.

CardPointers is very useful for keeping track of what cards you have and their rewards. It is nice to have everything in one place instead of manually checking each card and trying to remember what card is best used for different stores/purchases. It also features current new card offers, which is much more convenient than trying to research on your own. CardPointers is straightforward to use and visually appealing. I had some confusion about the Pro subscription and the developer Emmanuel cleared things up for me in less than a day. Highly recommend you give CardPointers a try because it is great!

CardPointers fills a real need for us. We have 7 different credit cards, each with a different bonus program, bonus categories, etc. and with three of the cards the bonus categories change. Before having CardPointers we had a piece of masking tape stuck to each card with its description, and for some of the cards we needed to rip off the tape and put on a new one every quarter. We were constantly using the “wrong” (suboptimal) card!
We noticed a couple of issues and sent in an email (frankly not expecting to ever hear back); we were shocked that we got a reply within 24 hours...and a fix!

This has been a really awesome app to use. It is easy to tell, at a glance, which card to use for what purpose to maximize savings. It also keeps track of spending goals for new account bonuses, and has a database of just about every credit card out there to make adding one to your profile super easy.

And, the BEST PART is the developer is super friendly and helpful when a new card comes out that is not in CardPointers database. The missing card was added to the database within just a few hours.

Highly recommend CardPointers to track your credit card usage. 20 STARS!

This is a great, simple app for sorting out when and where the heck can we maximize these silly credit card rewards games. CardPointers is clean and simple and fully integrates with iOS and all of its extensions. But, better than all of that? The support - I love having access to the devs. When a developer takes the time to respond and listen to requests you know they care, and these guys deliver on that quality.

At the very least, if you have a credit card with some varying rewards program, give it a shot and see if maybe you’re missing out on some of those extra rewards / cash back incentives.

Update 1/7/20: been in contact with the developer. This guy gets it and wants to put out the best app possible. Can’t wait to get all my friends to download this. Big things ahead for CardPointers!

Update 1/2/20: 3% categories added, but no option (that I can see) to add preferred rewards multipliers or multiple cards of the same card. I have 2 BofA Cash Rewards cards with different 3% categories.

For Bank of America, preferred rewards adds more cash back to certain options. You can have multiple of the same credit card with different 3% bonuses, so add that and this is 5 stars.

CardPointers is FULL of features that make managing credit card bonuses and offers super easy. Highly recommended for anyone with more than 2-3 cards.

The only place it fails for me is sometimes the UI will slow down or act weird (like not being able to tap multipliers to edit them until hitting the increment control to the right). I’ve also noticed sometimes data gets saved but doesn’t get reflected across CardPointers , like when setting up a custom category bonuses schedule. If these gets fixed my review would instantly increase to 5 stars.

Update: Lots of great improvements and Is now a 4.9 star ... I would still like to be able to adjust the % discount for a specific store, but all in all a SUPER app!!! I wish you great success with your app.

Information Not Correct and Unable to Adjust

This is a fantastic concept but as I’m adding my cards I have noticed that many of the rewards/fees are not correct and as the consumer you are NOT able to change the preinstalled information except for the date of acquiring the card, for example I have one card that universally gives 5% back but because of special circumstances I receive 10% back. On another card the annual fee is not correct as I pay an annual fee PLUS a monthly fee that I am not able to add. I like that you do not give personal information but would like to see more user adjustable, then it would be 5 stars all the way.

I always worry when anything wants my credit card info. Indecided to try it since it had some good reviews and a tag as recommended. It was available ‘today only’ with a ‘lifetime plan free of charge’ according to AppAdvice which I have used for many years. I downloaded and set up with an email instead of my apple plan as I just felt that was too much info shared. There was no red “Santa Sent Me” button so I thought it would be there after I started it with free trial. No. I’ve since unsubscribed and had best not see a renewal or subscription fee in future. I don’t put my financial information in the hands of anything that doesn’t keep to its stated promises. I would love to see something like this in future that did. I can see where it would be very handy.

This is a great app! It is still a really young one but it has a lot of potential and the developer keeps updating and improving it.
Its main functionality is simple but works perfectly. I used to look at my notes but this is easier. I just discovered some new features and am very happy about it.
I would suggest to work on the user interface and some help options to help understand how to use CardPointers , like the “point value” or the Shortcuts.

Pretty good app! It has the essentials you’ll need to decide which card to choose, when you have multiple credit cards. A good amount of improvement opportunities are there, so I’m sure more features will be added in the future. The developer is quite responsive to suggestions, which is a big plus!
It seems adding a FAQ section and account management features (like seeing the ID linked to CardPointers , changing it, etc.) will be quite helpful to most folks.

I started adding my credit cards and noticed that I had a card that was not yet on CardPointers . So I hit the "let us know" button and not thinking anything of it I put the name of my card in and sent it off and forgot about it. I wake up the next morning with a reply email from support telling me they have added the card to CardPointers and my account. Wow! Talk about fast and great app support. This is a prime example of a developer that wants to make a great app and not just something decent that is loaded with ads.

With all of the credit card rewards, points and cash back offers available it can be time consuming trying to remember who gives you the “best” reward for what purchase. I stumbled upon CardPointers and so far it has been very useful. My credit cards were easy to load and getting a card added to the available list was extremely easy and fast. The developer responds quickly which is also very convenient.

CardPointers made me aware of the best credit cards to use for my purchases. I’m now maximizing my rewards for each card. Customer service was awesome! When I couldn’t find one of my credit cards on CardPointers using the search feature, I submitted a support request. Not only did I get a quick response, but the representative also requested a reply email to be sure my issue was resolved. No generic email for CardPointers!! Kudos all the way around!!

CardPointers is surprisingly handy. I had been making sticky notes for my wallet, maintaining a spreadsheet and in my head to determine the best card to use in certain situations. CardPointers is a quick reference to maximize the value of points/cash for use of specific cards.

I had reached out to the developer regarding some unique features of an older card I still use and they were very responsive.

I highly recommend this handy app.

Awesome concept, now I don’t have to go to often to my excel sheet to check my categories. Things I would like to see.
1. Order cards date open to know from old to new. 2. Another tap on bottom with a chart of total annual fees and total credits like accounting style. Debit ( af ) - credit = capital .
And last a simple alarm reminders every time a cards anniversary hits a year. Very important and this will make the best app.

Really happy with CardPointers. It’s awesome to have all of my card bonuses centralized in one place.

I do wish it had a search, so I could search for a category or retailer. Recently I have been in stores like Target and can’t remember if that’s a bonus category on one of my cards. I’m not sure exactly what category Target falls into, so then I get stuck opening different categories looking for it. If I had a search bar to search the bonuses of my existing cards, it would be a relief.

Also, I hope one day you release a browser extension that can figure out what the best card is for the website I’m on :)

CardPointers takes a good idea and implements it incredibly well. If you have multiple cards and want to keep track of when to use each one to maximize benefits, this is the best way to do it. this app is well designed and intuitive to use. And if you ever have an issue, the customer service from Emmanuel is super fast and nice. CardPointers is highly recommended to fill a niche that really needed filling.

CardPointers makes it so much easier to keep track of when you should be using what card. The interface is very simple, meaning you’re not swimming through ads or useless data while trying to get to the info you need.
The developer is also very quick to respond to both fixes and feature requests.

this is what I did, I added all the credit cards I own, all the ones I’m interested in & all the ones CardPointers suggests. That way CardPointers tells me which credit cards are better than the ones I currently have for each specific category. This is good stuff, great job dev & I haven’t even begin to play around with the shortcuts yet.
