You lost me when you required my phone number to sign up. It’s bad enough how many spam emails I get from signing up for these kind of apps but I am not going to also let you sell my phone number. Plus bad reviews tell me FrontlineWildfireTracker isn’t worth the hassle of spam calls. I’ll just stick with cal fire.

Pretty useless if I can’t get it to recognize my address. Not sure why that really needs to be entered just to view a map. I would think the zip would be sufficient enough.

I’ve checked for updates. Map won’t show any of the fires. Even when I click on the updates “view on map” I can’t see the updates

Made an account, got the email, entered my address and, even though it auto fills to the 4 digit zip, it then say no address exists. Can’t progress.
At least they got my email address to sell.

FrontlineWildfireTracker used to be my favorite but it’s never accurate anymore. I will get a notification that there’s a fire in my area and it’s actually been out for several days, or no notification at all. Even after updating FrontlineWildfireTracker , still not accurate.

FrontlineWildfireTracker worked great at first. Recently, it won’t let me add properties, won’t let me edit or delete some properties, freezes or blows out. Have asked developer for help. They answered me one time and then ignored me.

This is a pretty lousy app in the sense that he asked for too much personal information. He wants to know your email, your name, your address, and cell phone number. I imagine he wants access to your location and maybe even contacts, that part I don’t know because I stopped registering when he asked me for my cell phone number and the address. Most of these type wants to know your location. I want to have to give me information about fires in any area that I want, no just close to my house.

FrontlineWildfireTracker was great at first. It did as it was supposed to! Then after a couple hours, it crashed and would never open again. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. It opened once and none of the features worked in FrontlineWildfireTracker , and then it wouldn’t open again.

Half the time it doesn’t show the fire on the map. The map is horrible. I get notifications on updated fires that I follow way too often with no new updates. There’s not enough information on the map. It takes like 24 hours before fires are updated if they are even updated. It’s just kind of a waste of time. I clicked to show evacuations on the map and it doesn’t show the perimeters.

Fires are not being updated on a timely matter and some fires are not even showing up. A huge fire was near Lake Tahoe and there was zero information on FrontlineWildfireTracker about it. There was a fire very close to my my home and FrontlineWildfireTracker said it was zero% contained for over 24 hours while it was put out about two hours after it started! Some people feel they should be able to trust an app that says their going to do what they are supposed to do but not this one. How do I know which info is correct and which is wrong? Creates more anxiety for people who want to know what fires are around them.

Although it does notify you of a fire nearby and will list them on a map, they are not listed by name. the fire information is rarely updated. If and update is provided, you only get the fired name but it does not show you were it is.

There is only one line for an address. I put in my street number and street then the city state and ZIP Code. As I typed, the message to put in a valid address was still there so I cannot set up an account. Shouldn’t there be a line for the street, another for the city another for the state and another for the ZIP Code?

I tried to set my address. FrontlineWildfireTracker could not find it and would not allow the suggestion drop-down menu to close. I had to choose an address from the suggestions to get it to close. Only then was I able to drop a pin in the map to give my precise location, however FrontlineWildfireTracker ignores it and now my home is in another state across the country.
I deleted FrontlineWildfireTracker and started over. This should be a pretty easy fix but I can see how it might really frustrate a new user and cause them to find an alternative app.

I’ve been using FrontlineWildfireTracker for about a year now, and I’ve been happy with it so far. However, I haven’t had to remove a property until now. I added two temporary residences a bit far from home because my partner went out to a wedding in some unsafe areas and I wanted to keep an eye out for them. However, now that they’re home safe, I can’t delete either property in my list. Every time I’ve tried, the screen goes black, FrontlineWildfireTracker crashes, and the property is still in my list. My notifications are being filled up for an area that I don’t need information for anymore, unless those fires spread out my way. I would like to be able to remove the properties so that I can see notifications for my home again without having to sift through all of the unrelated ones, please.

I've lived in Oregon since getting out of the military and every year when the seasons change from spring to summer and fall we have wildfires. We didnt have much of a notification system in effect but nowadays thanks to Frontline we have great updates and notifications for fire safety prevention. The maps are crystal clear and easy to navigate and the resources provided are ESSENTIAL for fire prevention. Try it and you will see for yourself.
