Edit: My app froze and I ended up having to re-download to fix the issue which forced me to use the new ad based platform. The FAQ says ads can be turned off without subscribing if you’re willing to use only basic features but this doesn’t seem to be available. I hate the subscription model—would be happy to pay a one time fee. Anyway, the ads are extremely intrusive in my opinion. They only show ‘one an hour’ but for a stock tracking app this basically means every time you use it unless you check it every 15 minutes or something ridiculous.

I’ve been using HODL to track some smaller coins for maybe two years now. Here’s why I’m giving them 5 stars:
-List coins not available on most trackers
-I requested a coin listing that wasn’t on HODL yet and it showed up within a week. Over and beyond on the development team’s part!
-Portfolios make it extremely easy to track coins with conversions to USD/BTC as an added bonus!
-When my app froze and I had to re-download it I thought I’d have to enter in all my portfolio holdings again but they had created several save points for me despite the fact that I’m pretty sure I don’t have an actual account set up.

My only complaints:
-I don’t love the re-format for social media connection (it used to be easier to see ONLY articles relevant to this or that coin but maybe I just don’t know how to navigate the new system).

To keep track of your transactions with HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker. If…if you successfully get the transaction entered be prepared to re enter it later because it will randomly disappear. Absolutely under no circumstances should you ever make a change to a transaction. This will delete multiple transactions. Do to this apps horrible account back up and sync implementation you won’t be able to retrieve any reasonably useable back up. All I can say is good luck. Others then all that, it’s a good way to check up on your assists. After most recent update the problem seemed to be fixed until to day. I tried to change on date of a passed transaction and poof a random assortment of other dater vanish. Oh and the best part is I go to setting to see if I can restore from a previous backup. What do I see? “No backups found”. Oooof.

As much as I really want to like HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker with all the great features it offers, I am no longer able to use it because it will not allow me to enter more than 10 trades for an asset. The the 11th buy or sell deletes another to keep only a max of 10. I think maybe they are actually there, but when looking at the list of transactions, no more than 10 at a time show up. I would expect this from the free version, but not the paid version I have. If this could be fixed, I would happily give 5 stars, but as it is, it has 0 value to me as being unusable. I’ll still give 2 stars for my hopes this gets fixed before I find something else to use and take the time to get all my trades entered. Please fix this guys. You have a great app here.

I was using HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker and everything was great until it said “aw snap! Something went wrong displaying this screen”. I tried everything I could think of to get it back until I gave up and reinstalled it. I then went back through and set up all my portfolios again and it worked for 2 days before crashing again.

New issues, been using this for years. I really like how easy it is to toggle between my watch list and the charts are shown in the bottom half. But recently the charts throw a lot of errors. It’s getting to be really frustrating.

Everything works as intended. Navigation between slides is smooth and information displayed is accurate. There are many features to HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker, including the ability to choose which exchange and currency to display price from. Overall I found myself using HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker frequently instead of other sources, such as coinmarketcap, or the exchanges themselves, revealing how convenient HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker is. The only thing I would add is the ability to mouse-over the price slide to find the exact price at an exact date, similar to what is available in the exchanges, or the mobile web-version of bittrex.

So I’ve been writing messages to customer care about adding the stock Matterport to their collection of trackables. I don’t understand why it’s not in their portfolio in the first place… anyway, I got a response for the first time at the beginning of February, they said it would be added soon. Still nothing. I wrote and wrote, no response whatsoever. Not even saying sorry! Now I can’t track my entire portfolio while being a paid customer and I have to use and pay for yet another app to do so. And I can’t delete it either because I have some crypto at Hodl. It would be much easier if they would just do it! I would also give they more stars… anyway, perhaps they read App Store reviews…

Update: they just added Matterport! Apparently someone do read reviews! Thank you! My rating is now adjusted accordingly! Good luck with HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker development!

I was really looking for a comprehensive app that mirrored the Native Apple Stocks app and this is IT!!! The UI is awesome & it's top notch!!!

Update: I am having an issue adding multiple purchase lots when making entries. I purchase weekly, and having multiple entries makes the entry process tedious. Sometimes it doesn't pop up at all, it takes forever just to create an entry & it makes HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker slow at times.

PS. ALSO, Lots need to be listed in chronological order. I am still having the issue of lagging when adding new lot orders. It seems I am at the max of entries, as the screen jumps around & the pop-up screen to make an entry can take several minibus to appear. Hope this issue gets fixed soon

I feel like I have tried every other app that is in HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker Store and I still come back to HODL!! I kno I could use trading view and have pretty much the same indicators, but HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker is just a lot easier to use. My response time with deciding when to buy/sell is alot faster and I can track my portfolio, see what other traders are saying it’s really helpful in making educated decisions of when to HODL, sell, or buy. They have a great support team that I can send a message directly from HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker and I have always gotten a reply within an hour.

Don’t try every app available like I did-get this one!! Their paid version is worth every single coin!!

Full disclosure— the only reason I even tried any other app is because the notification sound drives me nuts and when the market is really volatile I find myself turning the sound off on my phone. I wish there was a way to change the notification sound. Lol I would pay more money a month just to be able to pick the sound it made. But that’s a personal preference not anything to do with the tracking

I’m honestly amazed that HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker is free. It’s so simple, intuitive and informative. It has market data where you can add any coins you want. In addition, in the bottom you can swipe right/left to look at detailed market data, relevant twitter posts and news announcements for every single coin that you watch. Big thanks to the developers of HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker, especially for making it free - you guys are awesome! When I make big bucks I’m definitely going to donate to this team, they deserve it.

I had a question about multi-device sync and the developer(s) got back to me within a day. I’ve been dealing with customer service on a few crypto exchanges and they’re notoriously bad at getting back to people (looking at you Coinbase & Binance), so just getting a response was a pleasant surprise and the helpful information was icing on the cake.

Anyhow, HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker is impressively rich with useful info. From real time prices, to just about any type of chart you could possibly want. Also, the social feed was a feature I didn’t expect to care for, but it ended up being useful to calm my nerves whenever I see my bags have suddenly tanked. Props to the dev team: I’ve been on iOS since it was iPhone OS and this is the first 3rd party subscription I’ve signed up for.

Previous review: Been a long time user of HODL. I think it is a quality app, however the latest update changes to an ad or subscription model. The ads are too frequent and intrusive (more than the once per hour it states), and the subscription price is too high. Offer a reasonable one time cost, or a lower subscription price and I might consider it.

I’ve been using HODL for awhile now and love it. A couple days ago I noticed that it wasn’t updating prices from Bittrex so I sent them a note using the Contact button and I got a reply within a couple of hours telling me that they were aware and that the problem was on the Bittrex end, which I was able to verify by looking at another app and seeing it wasn’t updating either. They later notified me that it was working again. I was really surprised at that level of support on a free app! Will be donating to them with BTC to help them out. Excellent job y’all!

Best update by far. If you are tracking crypto on any other app, you are doing it wrong. The charts, the tracking.. the overall clean simplified look of HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker is amazing. It almost feels like it should come with the device already, it's that clean. It has news, Twitter/StockTwit feeds built right in as well.. Everything right there!! Stay with this dev, they understand their customer base, and also know how to take feedback as I've sent in feedback a few times now. Will keep supporting and using this daily. Thanks!!

HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker has kept me updated on the cryptocurrency market for a long time now, and let me tell you this is hands down the greatest app for staying updated. It’s free with no fees guaranteed. You can choose which trading platform you want to track (Bittrex, Binance, Coinbase, etc.) The graphs are refreshed every minute, and all of the tickets are refreshed every time the blockchains complete a trade. There’s a live feed of people on social media which is pretty entertaining. And lastly, the new update just added the ability to track your portfolio by adding your balance of which currency you have. Overall a phenomenal app.

There’s something to be said about simplicity. You can find a number of other apps that calculate so much more about your portfolio, and I use them, but my go to app to track crypto throughout the day is HODL. It’s easy to manage your coin totals, add trackable coins and read the headlines. The one thing I wish for however is integration with CoinExchange because my portfolio totals will be off until the coins on that exchange have their prices. An intermediate fix would be to allow the use to input the current price. At least then the total would be closer to reality. Great little app.

I don’t normally leave reviews for app simply due to time restraints on a busy schedule. This type of service (outstanding) warrants me doing so in this case - 5+ stars from me!! HoDL on 🍻

Update 7 NOV 18 - Apparently the “Classic” version retrieves through TestFlight is only good for one month as my app now says “expired” and will not pull up without doing an iOS update for HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker . Is there any way to permanently have the classic version available? Thanks :)

I’ve tried many crypto portfolio trackers, and HODL is the best I’ve found... but it can be so frustrating when transactions randomly disappear from my portfolio, and cost basis calculations are incorrect. Is there a ten transaction limit in the unpaid version? If so, it’s not a documented limitation, so I’m hesitant to upgrade because I suspect it will still be a problem with the premium version.

Hope they fix this. Would also be nice if you could automatically sync with wallets and exchanges, although I’ve found that problematic with other trackers because I use so many different wallets that often aren’t fully supported.

Previously wrote a review with 3 stars(has since been removed) due to an issue I had been having with HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker not working while not on wifi. As it was getting frustrating to use I left a review that did get a reply from the devs. Did what they recommended and nothing worked.

Turns out it was due to iCloud Private Relay, an issue with an app I also use frequently was having an issue I noticed happened when I was using a VPN. Anyways, if you’re having issues, turn off iCloud Private Relay and it should work perfectly.

Absolutely recommend HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker and also it’s worth paying for the premium subscription!

You need HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker if you have a lot of wallets and use multiple exchanges and want to know how fees and market changes are cumulatively affecting your bottom line. None of my exchange apps track my crypto how I’d like; each one has some sort of key feature missing, or just makes it really hard to see what you have and changes by percent or fiat, etc. HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker so far has had every feature and more that I would expect of a trading app. Sadly it’s not an actual exchange itself but I use it to keep track of all my various wallets and it’s an easy once-over of my holdings and gains/losses instead of checking each individual exchange and wallet since I have a mixture. It looks great and is easy to use!

$2.99 a month to be able to input all of your crypto, and stocks, and being able to set customizable Price alerts on your own and sync it with your wallet is really cool. I also use trader view the paid subscription as my trading platform, and I trade through Traderview with TradeStation. It is the best and most accurate set up with tons of tools to use to draw charts and predict the market. There are also customized indicators like the modified MACD, and other tools to help track the market. Adding HODL is the Cherry on top! Thanks to the Developers I don have to sit and star at my charts all day.

App does not let you input price paid for coins in portfolio. You won’t easily be able to migrate to HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker from another app like blockfolio

Please add the ability to track a portfolio including price paid for coins. Despite increasing the amount of stars in the rating as asked, I am still just as unhappy with HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker . Hopefully you will add the feature at which point it would likely the best crypto tracking app. In it’s current state HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker just doesn’t deliver and is only another “me to” app. You will lose users once they discover that other better apps currently exist.

New user of HODL. This is an awesome app as far as I am concerned. Would give 5 stars but app keeps crashing when I flip phone to horizontal view from vertical. No other issues. Would however like one more swipe screen to see a longer view list of all my added cryptos. I know I can scroll but a full phone screen view would be great as well. Thanks HODL for putting out a great product!
Oh yes one more thing, does app have to be open to get an alert? It would be great to have the option for text alerts. Just a thought.

I’ve been using HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker since 2017 when the crypto market exploded. It’s gotten me some really good tips, and I can stay informed while I’m on the go.

To be honest, I randomly discovered it while I was looking for another app... best mistake I’ve ever made. Over the years they’ve made some significant improvements with the interface and general performance.

I highly recommend that every trader get this on their phone

The occasional glitch in data and slow load times when launching HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker when tracking many charts. Sometimes my portfolio will have a different profit or loss than the normal list does? The chart issues have been primarily resolved but the portfolio percentages need to match the list percentages at the same time. I dont know why this happens because Currently I only have xvg in my portfolio. It can be confusing.

first app I open in bed every morning. am a trader and love HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker because it not only shows me real time price data and charts but also the latest breaking news and tweets. They call it hodl, but it's also for traders who need to keep abreast of the latest info in this wild crypto market. Also unparalleled customer support. I've made a few requests for features, and they responded with a roll out timeline. Love HODLRealTimeCryptoTracker!
