The app is a total mess. However here are the advantages and disadvantages: Advantages (benefits): It shows you the routes you have been driving and gives you the option to select if you were driving. If you are a privacy concerned person, then this accounts as a disadvantage! It also shows you how often you drive (the time of the day) and where too! You can treat it as a challenge to improve your score and drive more safely, however regardless of your safely driving, you can not beat beyond certain points! Disadvantages: Most of the scores are incorrect! For example, You never touch your phone, but still score is not 100. Instead between 90-95! why???? Doesn’t matter how carefully and safely you drive, the smooth driving is low! I think the app assumes that you need to use break from a mile away! Or keep your speed constant throughout your journey regardless of bumps or traffic lights or change of speed limits! Totally wrong!!! If you use your car in prime times, automatically your score goes down! Working night shifts, the score even get worse! I use this app as part of my car insurance (Plymouth Rock assurance), but I don’t recommend using it at all. Thanks.

This app mainly tracks four categories. Out of them, phone usage and smooth driving are the two that are really are bad. Although phone usage always scores high it should be a perfect 100 since I DON’T touch my phone at all while driving. The worst one is smooth driving. It always scores low as if you’re a bad driver when in reality it just tracks wrong. To test it I accelerated as normally as possible, put the car in cruise control to avoid and changes in speed or “harsh pedal work” then slowly came to a complete stop. Turned the car off, walked away and STILL had a terrible score for “smooth driving”. This is consistent with every driving experience I have. App is a joke. If my rate is increased because of this terrible app then i’m leaving immediately and whenever I get the chance, advising anyone not to choose them. If a developer is reading this, please fix the smooth driving section. Even the app pictures show smooth driving as red, whoever tested it couldn’t even get a high score.

This app is absolutely horrible and designed to give you a less than perfect score. Those of us at the mercy of Plymouth Rock and this app know what I’m talking about. I just finished taking a drive, which by looking at the map, appears to be a perfect drive. No “dings” for anything whatsoever. No medium or hard accelerations, harsh or medium breaking, I had no cell phone use, and had smooth, steady driving at the perfect time of day. You name it… it was a perfect drive. Or so I thought. I was rated an 84! Why? I ask when it should have rated 100! So there you have it folks, you will never get a 100 even if you drive excellently. It’s just not going to happen. I’ve been using this app for almost 500 miles now, 45 drives and I’ve yet to see a score in the 90s. My highest score was an 88… once. Yes, I’m getting a discount but these unfair scores and tracking my every move is getting to be ridiculous. I think I’d rather just pay the 8 percent extra on my insurance at this point.
