Doodle‎: Drawing Pad Reviews

I have now had DoodleDrawingPad for a half of a day. I am really enjoying the simplicity of it. There may already be a native app that draws like this but… I downloaded this one anyway. It’s easy to use and I have been having lots of fun with it. As the title suggests, I m not just having fun, there are a few flaws with DoodleDrawingPad. As I have seen in other reviews. No undo for deleting, no auto save, and the one problem that seems to be the biggest offender, is that when I used the record option (on my iPad, I have not loaded it on my phone) the tool bar completely disappears and I can not get it back. I am then forced to quit DoodleDrawingPad losing my work.

A couple of suggestions for the developers, I have already mentioned the undo (recovery option) for deleting or at least a confirmation prompt, the auto save, and missing tool bar, perhaps a couple more tool options but still keeping it simple? Something like paint brushes and crayons and/ or a resize tool. Oh, and maybe the option to change background colors.

Conclusion: easy, fun, and my favorite part - no in app purchases or ads! Just save your artwork often by going to the menu and selecting share and then save to photos; otherwise, you too may fall victim to losing you artwork.

I think DoodleDrawingPad is really cool because you can draw whatever you want and everything turned out amazing it has a ruler a racer a highlighter and markers and a bottle color and it’s a great variety that’s why DoodleDrawingPad is five stars in my opinion and you can also draw whatever you want and that’s why I like it and I’m gonna continue drawing on DoodleDrawingPad I also made an Apple Pencil so that’s why I really like it because you can use it on it and it works.

I got this game it’s really really fun and I love drawing and so I was drawing but only thing is that when I was doing something I accidentally deleted it and I want my art back because I took like hours on it and I think you should make a gallery of drawings that you deleted and like go back to the drawing and draw and then you can save it

Here’s the problem I don’t really think you should tap five times to zoom if that’s what I saw but you should update this were you can have layers and you can add pictures so I can draw the pictures in a cartoon way but that’s the only problem right now other than that it’s a good drawing app keep up the good work!

My 7 year old spent an hour sketching an entire picture. He goes to color in the last “right hand corner” and grazes the trash button. There is no way to recover? In 2021, this seems like a complete design flaw. Fix it, take the trash button off the screen. Auto save the progress. These features come standard with most drawing apps. The reviews say the same thing now. So, hopefully the changes will come with an update. I have to delete this until then, just to save on time and frustration. Besides this issue DoodleDrawingPad is decent.

Hi I think that DoodleDrawingPad is useless first of all you can zoom in when you wanna put like more tiny details in the drawing and second of all I think it’s great that there’s not really any ads but maybe more colors and please add backgrounds so we don’t have to do that big hassle after or before and I thing you should add like shapes so we don’t have to practice trying to do kinda perfect circles or squares or triangles so please I don’t recommend this game for drawings where you need to add something little

I’m an eight year old kid, and I enjoyed drawing on my mom’s iPad. But she had a lot of work to do on it, and I have a little sister who likes drawing on my mom’s iPad, too. So I asked her, and she said, “Honey I have a lot of work to do.” She suggested getting DoodleDrawingPad on MY iPad and I said ok. But DoodleDrawingPad costs a LOT of money, so I got Doodle instead. I got it free! Now I can draw and stuff! THIS. IS. A. MUST. HAVE. APP.

Please add a paint bucket to fill in the thing you drew and you can pick the thing you want to draw or you can make your own and you should play your favorite songs because my favorite is who is she it’s also known as a song from Game toons and that’s all I can think of

I recommend maybe moving or changing how the delete button works...I just made an entire portrait and when I went to color it in I went over the delete button and now the whole thing is gone...maybe like a prompt that asks if you’re sure you want to delete or something, so other people don’t loose their entire work like I did.

I like DoodleDrawingPad. I use it for Japanese calligraphy practice. Don’t like what I wrote? Just erase it and start over. No paper waste. Will be using this a lot.

An earlier review wonders how to get the white canvas instead of black. Seems to be an iOS function. If you need to switch between black and white canvas, do it in Settings-> Display & Brightness.

So I love drawing my favorite gRaViTy fAlLs characters on this and super fun, however when I sent this to my sister the toolbar wasn’t there. I didn’t know how to get it back so every time I send something to someone, I have to re-download it again! Let me know if there is another way to get the toolbar back

I made a bunch of funny sketches and used all features of the program, but then the tool pallet started disappearing. The only way I can get it back is to power my iPad Pro off then back on. There’s something about the new iPad that developers aren’t used to.

It was fun while it worked, but I can’t keep powering down just to make sketches.

The developer doesn’t seem to have any support site, so all I can do is post a review.

Yes, yes yes, yes, yes! Exactly what it says on the tin — a no-frills, direct, simple sketch pad that works with Apple Pencil and is not trying to be 6,214 brushes, nibs, effects, editors, canvases, layers, and complexities crammed into a subscription-modeled money-mill.

If what you want is anything like a simple, clean sheet of paper that you can rough-sketch or doodle on, this is DoodleDrawingPad you’re looking for.

DoodleDrawingPad is really good but I want there to be a better way to draw letters, if you try to the letters are to big. Also every time I record when I’m done recording the tool bar disappears and then I have to uninstall DoodleDrawingPad and re-install DoodleDrawingPad . Everything else is good.

I use DoodleDrawingPad all the time it’s very fun but I think it could use more
Art supplies such as, shading utensils, more shades of colors,
Maybe a way (not about art supplies) to save your project,
I have to take a screenshot each time so I could see my artwork

This game is so fine. It lets you color whatever you want! End it gives you choices what to color One of the choices is Marker pencil small marker big marker and it even gives you a eraser!

I like it because I’m a beginner at drawing. It has a matter of colors. The only thing I do not really like is that there isn’t a lot of texture. There needs to be more drawing tools. Not anything like you can edit the drawing, if you like draw a circle it makes it a perfect one and you can stretch it. But ignore that fact and it pretty good!

So what I was saying I just wish there was like that little bucket jar so you can make a thing do you know what I mean a bucket a bucket is it called a paint bucket I don’t know what’s it called

DoodleDrawingPad is very good only one thing I would like to see more in it is is more pin choices but overall DoodleDrawingPad is very nice and lets you just freely draw whenever you feel like.

Honestly, why have DoodleDrawingPad if you have your iPad? I can do the exact same thing with my iPad that I can with DoodleDrawingPad. Just take a photo of a white screen, get a screen recorder app, and ur finished.
There’s no reason to have DoodleDrawingPad.
It is a good app, but just not really anything different than what we already have.

DoodleDrawingPad is just what I was looking for but I wish you could be able to start a new one and keep the one you just did...

DoodleDrawingPad is OK, but I would like it if there were more things to do besides the regular toolbar. I was drawing and doing a screen recording, when i stoped it the tool bar disappeared and I had the eraser in my hand and you know what happened then. Could you please fix the disappearing toolbar bug?
