Im only putting this a five star so you can see this. This game is cool, as a retried artist yeah its cool and all but their are a few things that are absolutely unbearable about this. First, if you zoom in to do something your art will disappear, like seriously i worked so hard on what has apparently disappeared? Seriously? Second you have to pay to do everything, if i wanted a new brush of to undo something i have to pay 3.00$? Now i know 3.00$ is not a lot of money, but still i have to pay for something as usless as that? Mine as well use ibix paintX for that. And third of all if you wanna change your brush size, why do they make it so complicated? If i change it to be small you can barley even see the coloring. Im not being a karen this is annoying. Please fix this,

As a retired graphic designer, and art educator for over 50 years this program suits me very well.
I have a great fondness for the philosophical, emotional and spiritual traditions of oneness in mandalas from around the world and through the ages. Just for kicks I have run workshops for spiritual groups of all ages and backgrounds.
Now in my seventies my hand has become trembly and this program allows me to practice swift drawing which after an hour’s practice improves my hand.
It also offers a plethora of sticker shapes if it is too hard to draw. The visual rewards make oneeager to try. The recreational use of this program is boundless fun for drawing as awake dreaming.
And the remedial use for handicapped or hospital bound would be tremendous. My grandson of seven years took readily to this happy maker.

I loved Mandala Maker until this latest update. What were they thinking? Everything has changed and it is no longer the intuitive program I loved using. The tutorial is a joke. I’m sure there were things done that would improve the old program, but this is like an entirely different and not so easy program. Thumbs down.

Okay, I did another update and I have to retract my one-star rating. I will take it up to a 4, because now I can do some of the things I used to be able to do.

I am so happy to have found MandalaMaker - I was drawing mandalas long before I got my iPad, and love being able to transfer one of my favorite pastimes to one of my favorite tools. For the record, I use Mandala Maker to draw my mandalas, then import them into Pigment to color them and love the results. A couple of things I would love to see in future releases: 1) squares that are actually squares, or that can be locked into squares (mine are always slightly off, which is really limiting); 2) a gallery such as the one in Pigment so users can see examples of what other users are creating; and 3) a feature that allows users to set default settings for line, fill, and background color instead of seeing them randomly change from one project to the next. But all in all, a great product that I use daily!

Easy of access and having even just the basic starter tool of any program (undo) behind a paywall is a bit much. I can understand paying for brushes and other features, but the undo option is a bit of a reach to have to pay for. In addition the symmetry points scale abstractly, skipping quantities with no real reasoning. I wanted to draw with a 16 point symmetry but the scaling skips it by going from 12 point to 18 point with no in betweens. It should minimally scale at least in pairs. And finally it would be nice if you could change symmetries more readily while drawing. Having done mandalas on paper, it’s nice being able to start on low symmetry, anywhere from 3 to 8 point, and then step up as you go further out.

If you want just a simple app then this is fine, but if you want more control and precision this isn’t for you.

Besides the obvious ease of creating beautiful patterns, what is truly unique is the ability to switch it up, take the mandala off center, add even more, take your creativity to new heights.
I used it first on occasion just for a way to take a break, calm my mind; but once I found all the unique features, I was able to really let my creativity shine.
Wonderful app! One of the few I chose to go ahead and spend the extra to get the full app - you don’t need it, the free version is plenty to work with, but I chose to support the developers because we need more apps like this :)

I’m sooo much NOT an artist, but sometimes I have the need to express my emotions/thoughts in a subtile and warm way. MandalaMaker goes straight to that need and makes me feel relaxed.
Sometimes I open a new “project” and leave it lay there until I feel again the need to draw. In that way my mandalas are an extension of my inner voice, but speak for me in different times and situations, therefore, they’re the closest graphic representation of my emotional complexity in a single canvas. I keep them in my gallery, and also enjoy going through them and feel what they produce me now, or remind me of.

The possibilities are endless. I have an Apple Pencil and that makes creating so much more enjoyable. I think it is a MUST! GET A PENCiL!!!

I spent the extra $3 to open all the tools. I’m still figuring out how everything works. Overall, this is lots of fun. When I’m home, I’m using Mandala Maker. I highly recommend this application. Hours and hours of fun.

OK, it’s been 3 months since I downloaded MandalaMaker. I love it even more. There is a Facebook group where you can share your art work and ask questions. I highly recommend joining and it will improve your learning curve.

I am just learning how to use this and I discover new things every time I open it. It’s pretty cool learning how to create a mandala. Although I wish it came with some instructions, (maybe it does but I have not found them😹) MandalaMaker is very intuitive and obvious in how it works. I am no artist and get on it to just bs and relax so nothng in it is crucial that I get perfect. I guess that is the neauty of it it is as basic or as advanced as the user! Thanks for a good relaxing and a bit challenging experience.

Purchased the program and even though it’s only $3 it was still a waste because I’m going to go buy a different mandala maker program now. Half the time when you go to save your image and it asks you to scale the image to save it just shows a black screen although the background and fill colors are set to white. Eraser and undo tools don’t work well together if you erase and then try to undo what you erased it refuses to undo it and finally what led me here to write this was about 30 minutes into a piece it just disappeared and then minimized the program and when brought it back up my work was gone. Worse than a waste of $3 it’s a waste of time if you want to be able to save your image. I’m also using a new iPad Pro that runs everything else smoothly

Edit 2: Upgrading rating to 3.5. The latest update fixed most of the issues. But it still keeps crashing a lot. It’s still a great app and lots of fun.

Edit: This is a very enjoyable app, and a time-sink if you’re not careful. Haha But, frequent crashes are a huge issue. With the newest update, the crashes have gotten worse. The mandala doesn’t close and you have to exit MandalaMaker . When you reopen MandalaMaker , many or all layers within the crashed image become blank. Another issue is when switch between tools, the canvas resets to the centre instead of staying on the zoomed-in part.

Ok so I got MandalaMaker cause it is a fun and relaxing way to draw cool mandalas. I come and use MandalaMaker when I need to clear my mind! Though there is a problem that drives me crazy. Whenever I make a mandala the picture doesn’t start in the middle! I play on my phone but my sister does on her iPad and it works fine for her! But then I try to draw it starting in the middle and it goes to the side. Also you cannot make a lot of mandalas if you don’t buy the premium version. I hope you look at these problems and fix them. Though overall this is a fun app I recommend getting!

Try it only if you want to be able to open MandalaMaker . As far as being given a real opportunity to see what MandalaMaker is capable of ... WELL FORGET ABOUT IT! Aside of a dialog box popping up every single time you touch a button, it gives a beautiful count down box to how many time you have remaining to just touch a button. A seriously pathetic attempt at allowing someone to demo the product. There are plenty of other FREE apps available that can accomplish way more then what MandalaMaker even allows you to look at. I have no problem supporting a developer in fact I encourage it. But this developer needs to learn that just because you touch 10 of the buttons inside the interface that does not allow one to test out MandalaMaker prior to purchase.

I LOVE THIS GAME,I make so many cool arts!Its so fun I played it for 5 hours straight and it’s so much fun!I do recommend this game,it is very fun but,a few things you should fix is,the zooming in problem, every time I zoom in my art disappears:(,you should also add the size of brushes,that would make the art more cooler!I do recommend this game but, please add and fix these problems, I love art so if you’re an artist be careful of those glitches and hope you can make wonderful art!!!!

Love the updated version. Nice selection of symbols and patterns and colors. Still learning how to draw mandala’s. Highly recommended app. Easy to spend hours with it having fun. Way better than other mandala apps that are out there. Oh, I went ahead and upgraded to the paid version. For what you get for the price, one of the best apps. As I learn to use the brushes and stickers better, MandalaMaker is worth every penny and even more. I’ve showed it to people and they are like “Wow.” Love it, it’s relaxing, and fun.

Just downloaded this. Between the description here and other positive reviews, I didn’t even try it before paying the $2.99 to unlock all options and settings. So many settings! I love having absolute control but it’s kind of overwhelming actually. It’s an amazing app, but I probably should have played around with it without paying until it got boring and THEN paid for the upgrade.

I was very intrigued because making Mandela sounds relaxing, but I went in and the first thing it told me was to pay 5.99. I thought I just had to pay for more premium pens and stuff. When I went to go make a Mandela, I messed up and tried to undo. YOU HAVE TO PAY TO UNDO ANYTHING! I went on, because I guess it could be a little challenge for myself. I finish and try to save it to my gallery. YOU HAVE TO PAY TO EXPORT!! On top of that, it’s not easy to use, it’s laggy and awful.

TLDR: controls to draw are laggy and you gotta pay to do anything, like undoing or even just saving it to your camera roll.

I think that this is a amazing game for anyone! But there could be a few adjustments. For an example, the stickers they don’t come individually and come in a circle shape. Speaking of circle shape the mandalas itself are only circled. If you were to and more stuff to MandalaMaker, I would recommended you also to have more of a variety of colors. I was having a lot of fun making new designs and playing with the different options. It was great. I would work on them all the time because it was a great way to relax and feel a bit constructive. Then MandalaMaker stopped opening. When I try to open it, a blank black screen pops up, and I can’t do a thing with it. I am extremely disappointed because this was the best of all the similar apps that I’ve tried.

I love MandalaMaker so much and highly recommend getting the full version. It’s super cheap and you can get so creative! My favorite app I’ve ever downloaded. I’m not blowing smoke, either. I have never left a review before now, but I felt like the creators of MandalaMaker did so well in the execution of MandalaMaker I just had to say something. I would like to see more brushes though 🙂 the ones they have are amazing though and you can get super creative with them.

Ight so, I reviewed MandalaMaker a while ago and got a response (good to know the developer looks at the reviews), I’m honestly a young person so I don’t got the kind of money to pay for the other things on MandalaMaker , nor do I want money for my work. Again, I love MandalaMaker , and it’s fire, but the response was a slight bit harsh. I do now understand that people would want money for their hard work, but maybe explain that in a nicer way.

Again, my point here is not trying to diss MandalaMaker cause I honestly use it a lot and enjoy using it, I just wanted to clear it up.

Hello, I absolutely love MandalaMaker, I even paid for a year subscription, but there has been this bug that's made me not enjoy it as much. When I undo a line or two it deletes my entire mandala, and when I go to redo it, it comes back but with a lot of progress permanently deleted. This has happened so often that I just stopped. But I really love it so much and want to get back to it. Please fix this bug 🙏🏼
