The search didn’t work. It said I have 50 times to search different addresses but I can’t do a second search. It didn’t work. I search a first house and the map wasn’t accurate located the house either.

I tried to set the date but couldn’t get back to the map. I could gave signed up for google chrome from that time and date set screen, so I guess that’s a plus…

Since I’m not an astrophysicist is there any place to go to understand how to interpret your charts. The chart shows are a bunch of red dots for summer and blu for winter with numbers in the red/blue dots. If those are the positions of the sun, I did,n’t know the sun goes into a circular pattern. overhead. Btw, what is ar button and what does ar stand for. Does anyone ever write a word instead just letters and the world just automatically knows what ar is.

Downloaded Sunpositionandpath to help plot whether solar panels would benefit our property with the neighbors’ overgrown trees. The AR functionality is great for accomplishing this task, and you can specify Days/Months/Years to see specific sun patterns - which is really awesome. However, setting a user specified time period yields sun path values of “specified date” in the AR output. I was taking multiple screenshots (per month) on top of my roof and had to tag the photos in my phone to log the date/time. Just pass the selected date value into the AR output - simple JSON value add. Also, the time period is in 24 hour format. Please add a toggle that lets us view the AR results in 12 hour format too. Another quirk is the “Send Feedback” option under Settings. It doesn’t work. So, I have to post this review and hope Sunpositionandpath Store developer sees my improvement suggestions.

Nice app. Clear, detailed, precise and simple display of the Sun’s track. A follow-up page with copious amounts of pertinent Track information. My opinion, I’d recommend it to others interested in Sun Tracking.

If you live in a cooler region (from the Pacific Northwest all the way to the Atlantic Northeast) Sunpositionandpath will be a game changer in terms of laying out your garden.
When we bought our property, I simply adopted the space that was already laid out for planting but I was not terribly successful because some items got too much sun and other things did not get enough sun.
Imagine my surprises when I discovered Sunpositionandpath existed!! Understanding where the longest exposure is, the hottest and the coolest etc I can plan out my vegetable locations to give the ones who need the most sun in the FULLL sun locations, and those that don’t require as much sun can fill in the sections that get less sun.

I have use Sunpositionandpath to help determine the sun’s path over houses I’m interested in purchasing. I’ve lived in the Phoenix with a western exposure once…never again.

Helps with sunset photography. Scouting locations is a lot easier with Sunpositionandpath when looking for a good sunrise and sunset. Sunpositionandpath also will let you know where good light will be throughout the day into the evening for those perfect shots. Being a photographer, Sunpositionandpath is really helpful.

Easy to use and provides the most helpful data on finding and following the Sun and Moon. Not perfect but dang near! If the mythical app wish maker were to add Moon angle tables and Moon path diagrams I think it would be perfecto!! Still a 5 star program.

Love this!!! When visiting my in-laws who are not very mobile, I was helping them determine where to put a tomato plant given to them by a friend. This allowed me to place it hoped it would get enough sunshine for them to watch their delicious tomatoes grow.
Only thing I might add is making the lines a little darker

The “holding up to the sky” to trigger the AR experience is a nice trick.
The AR is a little choppier than I would have expected. This should be a pretty smooth experience given what’s being displayed. Doesn’t matter. Still solves the problem.

Awesome app for figuring out where to place solar panels. I used this to help me figure out what branches to trim on my tree, you can change the date to see how the sun moves from summer to winter.

Sunpositionandpath is fantastic for planning landscaping, gardens, and other solar applications, as well as "way-finding" in the wilderness. The solar/lunar arc overlay in AR is a little clunky, but move slowly and all is golden.
