I’m holding off on my comments until I see how Greystar compensates us for a Jan 4 2022 minor fire and 1 sprinkler head did water damage to 6 units, the clubhouse, fitness center and yoga studio.
I have a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, I’ve been living in a construction zone since then starting with the heavy duty fans and huge dehumidifier that needed to run 24x7 3 weeks.
I’m paying full rent without half my unit. Living like this is very difficult. Workers are in our place pulling up all vinyl, sawing wallboard, treat the mold then putting the wall board back up, sanding and painting. Not knowing what demo entailed, I did not know that clothes, tvs, lamps and furniture needed to be protected.
Next was replacing the vinyl. They came last week but the new vinyl was not as thick as what was in there now so they have to rip up all the vinyl in the apts and replace it.
That happens tomorrow for me, the movers come at 8am to take all my furniture to a vacant unit or a storage facility. I have been told this move out and in and restoration will take place in one day. I hope that’s possible.
Meanwhile I’ll be staying in the guest suite, just another adventure. We have been in a construction zone for 3 1/2 mos, due to labor shortages I think.
When alls said and done our units will get a deep cleaning!”
All the construction workers are absolutely amazing. They’re polite, respectful and great to have on our floor.
Our management team has been very helpful, supportive and understands our frustrations. The residents who were affected also understand management’s frustrations.
Thank you for listening to my remarks.
