TLDR: Set it up and connected in 2 minutes with a timer. No problems whatsoever. Very easy to use.

I expected this to be a simple app. All I wanted was a timer for outdoor lights. I was skeptical when I saw the awful reviews. I downloaded enbrighten , plugged in the device near my wireless AP, connected to the device via Bluetooth, set up wifi on the device, switched to the outside outlet, plugged in the lights, waited for the device to connect to the wifi again, then tested it.

No problems. Worked as I expected. It’s a simple app for a simple device. Timer works for what I wanted it for. Would recommend. This is not an ad.

I bought this to turn my backyard lighting on and off. I paid a considerable amount more for this one than several others available at Lowe’s. I did so because it claimed it would automatically adjust its on-off sensors throughout the year to turn on and off at sunset and sunrise.

It doesn’t. As the seasons change and sunrise/sunset times change the all just keeps coming on and going off at the same time it always did, unless I go in and change the times manually. It also seems to occasionally just forget those settings and I have to do it again.

The big plus though, is that all this can be done from this all, from anywhere happen to be. My wife called me at work one and told me the mighty weren’t on. I was able to switch them on with enbrighten . Other timers I’ve had before required me kneeling down and squinting so see some ridiculously small dial on the unit to try to set on-off times.

That alone makes enbrighten worth a little more than others, but perhaps not as MUCH more as I paid to get the seasonal automation that was promised on the packaging.

I picked up a set of four mini outlets last night hoping to control the Christmas lights I had plugged in in the garage. I downloaded enbrighten to my iPad and iPhone and created an account. (Although now I Wish I’d just set it up under my apple ID.)
I set up the first outlet with my iPad without a hitch and it worked immediately. I programmed the times and that worked as well! I can use enbrighten to turn the outlet on and off at will as well! Perfect!

The second outlet I tried to program with my iphone but it never was successful. I have not been able to figure out why. I got it set up with the iPad and I can turn both outlets on and off with either the iPad or the iPhone. But apparently I need to do set up with my iPad.

I am very impressed with the ease of set up. This so much better than the mechanical timer I almost bought and much less expensive overall. Too bad I don’t use Alexa or google… oh well!

I picked up 2 of the outlet switches at a local Lowes hoping the advertised, “Convenient App,” on the box was more truth than hype. Once I discovered how to setup the Bluetooth option and jumped a couple more settings hoops I was impressed! I had both outlets accessible for control on my iPhone and my wife’s phone within a couple hours. The one in the living room has a light on a timer and the one in the bedroom gives us the luxury of staying cozy in bed, while we turn a floor fan on or off. I highly recommend enbrighten!😃

The first thing I got was a dual plug I couldn’t believe how easy to setup and use the only complaint with that was I was hoping to be able to set the plugs up independently but the I found a four pack they just make things so much easier I have a few things that need to be turned on and off at different times outside and being able to program them so easy my 3 year old daughter could do it or just turn them on or off laying in bed. They are very helpful thank you

enbrighten that supports the this app plug in smart switch is perhaps the most frustrating, non-responsive, unsupportive, nonworking, and unbelievably time-wasting app/device combo I have ever encountered since the days assistive apps first were introduced into our world that were routinely filled with bugs, inadequate programming, and released with a lessoning sense of accountability and product responsibility.
This is a product that has me questioned whether any product testing is done for reliable function, security and protection, as well as quality and durability and safe use within household electrical devices.
The packaging is, however, alluring, yet displays no mention of what charities 50% of net profits are donated to as advertised on that packaging. Made in China.

Saw one, bought one. This was recently rated the hottest ticket item of the holidays. Went back for another one and they were all gone but they had double packs instead. Again, saw one, bought two. Again, went back to buy another one and the store said they were out...they started carrying 4 packs now. Saw one, bought four...bought 6 more and gave them as gifts to the kids for Christmas. They loved them! If you haven’t bought one of these, get one!

Your devices and app are excellent! I had two issues with the smart plugs, neither of which were the manufacture’s fault. First, the Confirm Button was almost completely off-screen. I had to reset my font settings. Second, our provider cable was severed during construction while I had the wifi plug unpluged. I plug kept timing out during set-up until I reset my router. Regardless, too easy to set up, configure and use, to include flawless interaction with Alexa via my firecube and echo dot.

Numerous unsuccessful attempts to pair the device with this app both automatically and manually. The device and router are located 9 feet apart. The blue light is flashing rapidly. this app proceeds through the 100% window and never locates the device. Bluetooth pairing is activated on phone. The only distinction is we have a 5G router and this app is seeking 2.4G. There is no Envrighten contact for troubleshooting and the video presentations are basically sales promotions for the numerous applications to make your life ‘simpler’. Quite honestly it is ‘simpler’ to walk outside and plug and unplug the devices. Purchased two outdoor devices but have decided not to open the second to determine if the first device is defective. Currently would not recommend this device for purchase.

The ability to easily connect to the home network was great. Implementation in general was easy. I do recommend plugging in the lights inside the house before hanging them up and trying to connect to the Wi-Fi. But overall the lights are great. They illuminate our yard perfectly and the ability to adjust the settings of the lights, as well as all of the available settings, is hard to beat. Highly recommend.

enbrighten was soooo easy to use. After I plugged in the mini plug, enbrighten automatically discovered it, I selected next, entered the network info and it connected in less than 10 seconds. Other apps got confused over the dual router frequencies-not this one. Great work!

I added 3 more plugs and easily set up groups and schedules. I love that I can set up on AND off in the same schedule.

I have to restart enbrighten a lot because it freezes. The FAQ was written by someone too close to the product. Sure, I know how to make a "home" now but I still can't share devices with two paired apps in my "home?" How can it be done, then and what does a home mean? The chat is too small for enbrighten and just is an unhelpful robot anyway. I hate chat that's only with a robot. Just let me use the search, don't pretend I am chatting with any intelligent human.
Back button doesn't work. Lights turn off an hour early even when I delete the schedule and start over.

Make sure you are on the same network. Turn your Bluetooth on Alexa app. Once this app is connected to alexa, go to devices section, you should see all enlighten devices there. Go to particular device and change settings to swich type to light if you are using that device as your light. Then Alexa works on that control. this app app is good. It connects Alexa well

Even with a very low price I don’t think enbrighten or the product is worth it. I am trying to use a socket as a timer for my aquarium lights on a mostly Apple network. So far in one week it hasn’t kept working for more than a few hours at a time. The units won’t stay connected, no easily found way to get any support, even if you set up a tablet to work all the time if you don’t allow it continuous and u restricted access it disconnects and is lost.

Might work good if your running Alexia or google but without those it’s worthless for my application

enbrighten will not talk to or work with Apple HomeKit

I was at Lowe’s to buy a mechanical timer for my Christmas lights, when I saw a display for the this app app and smart switches. I bought the four switches and downloaded enbrighten and had all my outlets programmed and ready to go in a few minutes. I love it! Can turn on my Christmas lights on a recorded schedule or just touch the associated button. My favorite new toy and I’m a senior citizen.

enbrighten is excellent, simple, easily customizable with groups etc. but there is one glaring issue! This is an app designed to turn lights on and off, Dark Mode should be a MUST. Really my only complaint is that once I turn off my bedroom lamps which are in a different app, only to realize I forgot to turn off the living room lights I am blinded by the stark white UI.

Please update this excellent app with dark mode!

What a wonderful product. Except the precise programs that I set for it dont save for some reason. Or they do appear to for some time and then they quit working and I have to get up early in the morning to check and find out. This is to provide lighting in a chicken coop to encourage egg production as the days are getting shorter. Kind of important! I guess this is yet another case where sleek digital versions of things just turn out to be sketchy. Will have to go get one of those mechanical ones now.

When I first got enbrighten to go with my patio lights they always came on at the time I set using enbrighten . Now for the last few months no matter what I do they come on 30 to 45 minutes earlier than what set and I have to turn them off using remote and they won’t come back on at the set time.I’ve paired and paired done everything I can think of and still have to manually turn them on, enbrighten is useless if I can’t schedule a time for my lights to come on using app. They go off on the time set but that’s it. Wouldn’t buy again

Got 3 out of 4 smart plugs installed but 4th kept “timing out”. Went through manual and auto setup several times…nothing. Went through all troubleshooting twice…nothing. Tried to call customer service and got a message they were all in a “team meeting” all day. Would have really sucked on a more complicated/expensive product. Hey Embrighten here’s a topic for your next all day “meeting”. “So, what happens if we actually take a customer call?” I will be avoiding your products in the future.

Super simple. At first it was not pairing. I unplugged it - moved closer to my WiFi hotspot and it paired in seconds. I then unplugged it and moved to the light I want to control. It held connection and setup. I was concerned that when I unplugged it - I would need to set up again. I then installed enbrighten on my iPad and wife’s phone. Logged in with same user name and password and it works perfectly.

I love this Wi-Fi product and enbrighten to control them. I have already hooked up a bunch of lights and have schedules set up for all of them. It took seconds to add the devices and within minutes I had a variety of schedules set up.

Logged in and had my smart plug loaded and working in only a few minutes. Super quick response time, and a lot of helpful automation options and schedules. All in all a really good app and product.

enbrighten does the same thing as TikTok use to do. Whenever you open enbrighten, you’ll see whatever text you previously copied become pasted (look at the top of your iOS device). Don’t copy credit card numbers or passwords before opening enbrighten.

App does not do dusk/dawn correctly on iPhone 11 iOS 14.1. With location enabled, app just sets dusk/dawn to 7am/7pm everyday. Cust support says it’s a known issue. Not much help.

It takes too long to connect. The light don’t stay flashing long enough to connect to the network. And it keeps saying it time out! I have fast internet.

Although neither the device packaging nor the instructions nor enbrighten Store description says so, the device will not work on a 5G network. 5G is all I use. Complete waste for me.

Doesn’t work on my wifi, because it’s 5G and I can’t change it to 2G for a plug because nothing else in the house will work on 2G!!!!

I can’t get them to connect to my wifi. Constantly says the device timed out. Returning ASAP.
