So just like most of the other reviews, there's a problem with the age requirement question. I downloaded Lemon8 and i put my birthday. and btw there's no reason for me to lie when i say I AM OLDER THAN 12. once i put my birthday it says that i'm too young. naturally, i thought it was some sort of mistake and i deleted it, as well as redownload it to try again. this time i put it at 18. IT STILL SAID THAT ITS TOO YOUNG??? so then i tried on my other device AND IT SAID THE SAME THING. so i did the same process that i did on my phone, but on my other device too (delete it, redownload, try it again) AND IT STILL WASNT WORKING. so just like any other person with a lack of patience and self control, i write this review. and to someone that is able to fix Lemon8 : please please please fix it or debug it or recode it or something, because this isn't just a problem for me, but it's a recurring problem with several people. i would absolutely love to use Lemon8, but it just simple wont let me, even though i meet all the requirements. please and thank you.

they really need to hire some new tech people or developers or something. they are a lot of little bugs or things Lemon8 just doesn’t have like an algorithm or the ability to not be interested in certain content. Along with not being able to see who you blocked or any past interactions other than likes and favorites. My main issue is that I signed out of Lemon8 on my iphone and when I went to log back in it’s PERMANENTLY stuck on the “what’s your age” section and then anything I put says I’m not “eligible” for a this app even though I already have an account. I just finished the merchandise diary give away and so that may be why, so they can scam people out of it 🤷‍♀️i’m not sure. oh well. in a year it will be a christian only app because that’s most of the content on there anyhow. Definitely should have waited on the launch of Lemon8 or at least try to fix it with more incoming volume

So as you can see on Lemon8 it say 12+ correct? Well I put in my age and it says that I am not eligible for Lemon8 and I assure you I am 12 and plus I put in my birthday and it said not eligible for Lemon8 but thank you for checking us out I have deleted all data and re-downloaded it again and it still says I’m not eligible for Lemon8 . I even tried putting it above my age and making it so I am 18 years old, but it still says I am not eligible for Lemon8 so I do not recommend for because it will not let you do anything if you put in 2011 because I am 12 and that’s what I did when I put in my age so I do not see why it’s not working so I am very mad at this because I want to get my life together and Lemon8 seems like it can help with that so I wanted to try it out but it will not let me do it because I am 12 years old even though Lemon8 says 12+ can use so I have not been able to access anything on Lemon8 . It won’t even let me do the personalization thing because it won’t let me pass the birthday part because I put 2011 so now when I try to change it, it remembers what I put there before but I’m mostly mad because it says 12 and plus, but it will not let me

So, i got Lemon8 and i have been loving it so far. UNTIL Lemon8 decides to ban my account two times in a row. Apparently its because im not following age guidelines, but the thing is i am over 12 like Lemon8 says! and then it bans me! honestly Lemon8 is just avoiding all problems with age restrictions. ive seen too many videos on tiktok/youtube talking about their problems with this app and the company never fixes them. would give a zero but i cant do that. FIX YOUR APP. edit: i have gone now and looked into the reviews and turns out there are so many more one to two star reviews and this company still hasn't fixed it. maybe this company should realize since theres so many bad reviews and experiences, people will stop using Lemon8 . maybe their just stupid or something..? but this is gonna be their downfall if they dont do anything about it. another edit: Lemon8 IS SO STUPID AND FRUSTRATING. I went into Lemon8 and i literally cannot access anything no matter what age i put in. this company should realize that Lemon8 is more geared towards teens, and they completely disregard the fact and continue to disappoint users. i was really starting to like Lemon8 until today.

I saw Lemon8 on tik tok and I wanted try it because it seemed cute. I downloaded it and put in my age, mind you im 12, Lemon8 description clearly states that it is for 12+. So I try it again changing my birthday like 5 years back, still cant go in. Now I re-download Lemon8 and change my birthday to like 23 years old, still can’t go in. I don’t understand why its sill not letting me go in and use Lemon8 . Do I also need to say that I’m not blind nor hallucinating. I remember my brain registering that it is for 12+. So whats the problem?! Why can’t I go in. I see nothing wrong with being 12 and getting an app with a great community to get tips from. I like who everyone hypes Lemon8 up on my fyp, but I can’t get it. I genuinely thought that this is a great app seeing that everyone enjoys it and looks like they got very helpful advice. So I’ll ask this again why can’t I access Lemon8 and use it?! Anyways for anyone using it please STOP RUBBING IT IN MY FACE. Please stop ranting about how it changed ur life, skin, style. 1 STAR!!! I thought Lemon8 was gonna be good, because I saw so many people use it and I saw it a lot on TikTok. So I thought why not download it. So I downloaded it, and it wouldn’t let me go into Lemon8 . I was putting in my birthday and it says I’m not eligible or something like that. So I tried other birthdays that are older then me, and they didn’t work. I don’t know why, but it started to make me angry, cause i really could use Lemon8 for Christmas. But it won’t let me in to Lemon8 , I tried almost every single birthday out there that I know and it won’t let me into Lemon8 . So if you could try to figure out why that is happening that would be great. Also if y’all are looking at reviews guys I would suggest don’t get Lemon8 because it won’t let you in, but If it does please tell me what birthday you used that let you in cause it wouldn’t let me in. But the creator of Lemon8, please try to figure out why it won’t let me in.

I was just trying to download it because I want to try makeup looks for school, right? Well, I put in my birth year which is 2010 and it says that I am not eligible for Lemon8 so I have to delete it. I’ve tried multiple times and it’s not working like I expected it to work. What makes it the most frustrating is I was also going to look for cute cat outfits for school but obviously I can’t. I’m in 8th grade. I meet the age requirement. It’s 3:32 in the morning, I’m tired, and have to wake up in less than an hour in a half. I just wanted to try out Lemon8 because it’s all people talk about on TikTok. Almost every add I see is this app. I wanted to try to see what the hype was all about but the hype isn’t in me anymore. I read the reviews and a lot of people are having the same problem as me. Since this is happening to a lot of people and this is most likely a bug, please try to fix it because I know a lot of people want to use Lemon8 for life tricks and hacks. Thank you!

Hi I liked Lemon8 from looking at an add on Facebook. After I downloaded it and was getting setup the second question was “what are your pronouns?” I immediately closed Lemon8 and deleted it! If I am going to identify my self, I am going to identify myself as a child of Yahweh… The God of Abraham, Isaac and Joseph, the God, who sent Moses to the promised land to lead the children of Israel. I refuse to lower my standard, when my father sits in heavily places, ruler of all, sovereign over my life, the great I AM set a standard for my life. I cannot live my life any other way, but his way! I will not be forced to participate in demonic identification on Lemon8 or anywhere else within this world. I don’t stand for that. I won’t stand for that. It is simply abominable, so I will not be identifying with any pronouns, but what I will identify as is a child of the most high Yahweh!!!

So first off I want to say. I have been using lemon 8 for probably a year or more now and I LOVED it. I was posting, interacting and I made big favorite lists. But now it randomly logged me out, and when I went to log in I clicked the wrong email. Now of course I know that’s my fault but what I don’t like beer stand is once you pick your email, there is no cancel button. You have to sign in. I picked my school email I just wanted to log back into my normal email. So I went to go quick make an account and once I got to the age page I didn’t change to my date of birth I just clicked okay. So now it says I’m to young and I can’t have Lemon8 . I downloaded and re download and it won’t let me sign in. So now I can’t use lemon 8, Lemon8 I used daily for over a year. If lemon 8 sees this and reads it through. Please!! Help me sign back in a am old enough!! I simply messed up. 😭😭

this app sounds like a magical place to put all of your stories, but there is something that isn’t right when I started it I was like oh my God I need this and then like I started uploading it because my friends were like oh my God you should try out Lemon8. It’s so cool so then I did it and then it didn’t let me because I was putting my date and like for some reason it didn’t let me like go in even though I put my correct age and birthday so I give this a zero out of 10 because like this like this is so bad this is literally the worst thing I have ever heard of I don’t even know how my friends even got it because I couldn’t login because it didn’t let me go in. It just said like sorry something something I don’t know but like it’s so annoying when those things happen and this was the worst one that could happen to me today, that didn’t really happen to me the other days because like I am like downloading it and it doesn’t like let me do like ages, birthdays, and all that so I am really frustrated right now about that so I suggest that you guys shouldn’t try this if you guys do not want to be mad, OK bye.

I loved being on this app for around 3 weeks but (even though I did not interact with this content at all) my feed, along with a lot of other peoples from what I saw before I had to leave, started showing a lot of posts about weight, weight loss hacks, calories and calorie deficits, and posts that were just rebranded thinspo, I also (again despite not interacting with this content) started seeing a lot of religious content, I’m all for people being religious if that is important to them but it isn’t to me. I hate that there isn’t a way to block certain tags, or to block people without clicking on the post to get to their profile. I had to leave Lemon8 because as someone recovering from an eating disorder I was finding a lot of the content I was seeing quite triggering and the religious posts just felt very inapplicable to me and I was getting annoyed that I kept seeing them. Very disappointed because I did enjoy Lemon8 before this but I won’t be on an app that does this and has no steps to take in order to stop seeing this content.

I would love your site so much if you would let either the comments be bigger or let the comment continue in a different comment or let you keep writing even if it was too big and then you could delete it from where you wanted to delete like twitter.

But as of right now if you try to speech to text on this app and it’s too big it will just delete everything that you just put down. Whenever you go past the character limit a box pops up and you can’t get rid of this box you just have to wait until it goes away and if you touch your screen at all it stays there longer. This design choice is maddening and I think I’m going to stop using lemonade if it doesn’t get fixed. Please remove the box that appears when a comment is too long just give us the word count in the corner or something this design choice is insane and awful.

I have Pinterest, TikTok, all the apps and l've been hearing all about how great Lemon8 this app is, yet it seems like no one is able to use it! Lemon8 says 12+ and I'm turning 13 soon so l should be able to use this right? So I thought. I was never planning on lying on my age, and I honestly put in my age as the first step and I was marked "not eligible" | even tried seeing if it would work if I said my birth year was 2000 I personally wasn't planning on using that birthday if it won't work, but even saying I was 24 years old,
"not eligible" which makes no sense! If you make an app, you should probably make it so that people can actually use it. What's the use in making an app that is made solely on ads. I saw a singular 5 star review on this, and yet none of it actually mentions how people actually use it, because I doubt that anyone really does. No one can actually use Lemon8 if it doesn't let you use it. I hope some creator of that sort can read these reports and post at least something about if this is a bug or something. I would love to know if Lemon8 is just generally no good, or it's a common bug that they should fix. I may be young, but l'm not afraid to voice my opinions, and my opinion is we need this ‘bug' fixed so that all people (12+ years old) can use Lemon8.

I've seen all these ads about this app so I decided to try it out, and when I got it and went on it, it asked for my age and so I put in my birthdate, and it said "not eligible" even though Lemon8 says that it's for 12+ and I'm 13, I've seen other people saying that it says that they're not eligible, even though they are older then the age rating. I have also seen other people say that it's a great app and saying that it has great tips and great makeup looks and stuff like that, but they're all sponsored or are ads from this app itself. I have gone through SO MANY reviews and all of them are showing that it doesn't work for them either and I first downloaded it about 2 weeks ago and even then it didn't work, and I was I thinking it was just me but then I redownloaded it today about 10 mins ago and it kept showing that I wasn't eligible, if Lemon8 says that you have to be 12+ why can't 12+ actually get on the actual app and are only getting stuck at the 'not eligible' screen and trying over and over again and even putting in fake ages? But yet all these 25+ women are on it? If you're gonna make a app that shows 12+ why only let people older then 20 be on it and not 12+ like the age rating says. If this is some bug I really do hope it gets fixed, if this is a scam, I hope it gets taken down.

It was terrible 17 and I cannot get in with my age wouldn’t matter and I wanna let me get in any of that and I looked it up on TikTok and nobody can get into it. Everybody’s having a problem with it and I am almost a door and I don’t know why having a problem with it and it says 12+ and I am in that age so I give it one star you should fix your lemonade thing and it’s bad. Lemon8 is supposed to be 18 and older but judging by the comments I received that were pure trash, pure hate, many, many of these women sound like very young schoolyard bullies. I was told I hated women, loved rapists, wanted women to be raped, was old, needed to use suncreeen on my hands because they are ugly, needed a new manicurist because my nails were ugly. I could have been a hand model and am considered gorgeous by most people and have flawless manicures. When I checked these women out they were all in their early 20’s or had no photo at all. The hate was worse than any other social media platform I had ever been on since FB started back when. I was guilty of thinking these were ladies who were supportive as the reviews say and yet I found many women posting they were leaving due to bullying. The worst part is that these comments we’re allowed to stay although I reported them all. In the meantime my comments about the bullying were deleted as “inappropriate.” Go ahead this app, spreading toxicity and misogyny. Women hating women is all Lemon8 is for.

Don’t even waste your time on downloading Lemon8. I finally downloaded Lemon8 because I wanted to see what it was all about after I have seen HUNDREDS of videos of people saying that they love Lemon8 and that it’s so helpful but when i finally downloaded it, it asked me for my date of birth which I had no problem with so I put it in. Then it told me that I was not eligible for Lemon8. I tried multiple times but it kept on saying the same thing so I decided to delete the whole app and download it again. When I searched Lemon8 on Lemon8 Store I checked to see what the age limit was and it said 12+ which I was confused why I couldn’t get in Lemon8 when I’m well over 12 years old but I still downloaded Lemon8 again and I tried putting my date of birth but again it still did not let me in! In conclusion I couldn’t tell you what I even think about the actual app itself because I was not even allowed in. But i would be willing to give it another shot if they fix this bug.

No, I’ve been on TikTok Instagram and everywhere it’s been talking about this amazing app so I have made this up but I haven’t made it but I have downloaded it and it says 12+ and I am 15 years old and trying to download it. It says it’s not eligible and I don’t know so I have deleted it. I’ve waited a week. Download it again. Still doesn’t work. Download it again. Still doesn’t work so I’m just saying if I can’t even get in Lemon8 how is it supposed be good, but I’ve seen people in like I just feel like that’s ridiculous for one app so I do not recommend Lemon8 because it’s so so so hard to get into
So if you want to tell me how to get into it then I’ll appreciate it but you have the same problem too. I don’t think it’s the best app and I think we should just go back to Pinterest like be real and like it’s asked me if I wanna purchase something I didn’t even get into Lemon8 yet. How was that? Makes sense bugs and in the view history, it says that bugs the bugs were fixed recently actually and now I’m just kind of confused. I do not on Lemon8 if you want beauty tips or outfit tips or hair tips or anything that you plan to get into what I have to say about Lemon8 I just don’t recommend it for public. I feel like they should fix it and maybe when it gets fixed starts working on it so people can actually access it.

I was excited to try Lemon8 and use it for my business and personal life. I started my account for my business and put a lot of time and effort into it and I logged out. That was a mistake. I am not able to log back in. I used my email and even tried to reset it but I cannot go back. I had emailed and sent dms on Instagram several times and nobody is responding. I’m not sure if Lemon8 has been thrown out by the developers but it’d a shame because I would of loved to grow on Lemon8 but there’s no way for me to get a hold of anyone.

If the developers read this, can you please check your email and respond? I’d love to get the account back. I can still see it without logging in.

My account was banned because I apparently wasn’t 18. I never showed my face in any of my photos and Lemon8 says 12 plus and I am in that age range sooo. Im really upset because i was starting relationships with other christian’s on Lemon8. Now i lost all of that. Thanks a lot this app. edit: scrolling through reviews and i’ve realized this has happened to so many other people. And i’ve looked at the like age restrictions on Lemon8 thing and it says 12. I was really liking Lemon8 and now I lost everything and cannot reconnect with others. I was literally talking to someone today and they are going to think I ghosted them. This is so annoying and frustrating. I know you’ve seen these reviews creators. Fix this! At least give us back our accounts and let us tell people we aren’t ghosting them! One day I decided to download this app. It looks fun and I saw many TikTok videos that this could be the new TikTok if it ever got banned and there’s so many helpful tips and my style things on there. Well, with the sign up, I put my corrected birth and I’m not enough old now. Let me tell you I am 13 years old. The age requirement for Lemon8 is 12 and up, I don’t know if they fixed the bug or not but let me tell you I’m old enough. I made sure I checked with my parent or guardian and they read the age requirements and the reviews. I cannot put a date sometimes a good thing sometimes so I can actually get, not able to even get into Lemon8 because it says I’m not old enough I just turned 13 in January make this make sense even though I just turned 13 in January I still would’ve been old enough so can someone help me or someone fix it I’ve downloaded and downloaded this time and time again, but it just doesn’t work so if you made this, can you please answer this and help me

Okay so I downloaded Lemon8 once and it let me in when I put my actual birthday and age. Which meets the age requirement of 12+ it worked. Then I tried getting this same app on a different electronic but I didn’t meet the age requirement And I couldn’t use Lemon8 , mind you I used the same exact birthday as before, MEETING the age requirements of once again 12+. So I decided maybe it was just a little glitch and deleted and reinstalled Lemon8 . Still not working, so I just gave it maybe a week or so to see if I can just try again. I tried and it didn’t work so I got fed up and deleted Lemon8 on both of my devices. Just now I tried to get Lemon8 again with the SAME birthday ONCE again but it won’t let me in I’ve even tried making myself around 20 and it wouldn’t let me in and I do definitely meet the age requirements I’m almost 14 and the requirement is 12+ once again. Idk if this is just a glitch but I hope it gets fixed because this is a really good app in my opinion this was just my only concern, but it’s a big problem because I can’t even use Lemon8 .

I wanted to download Lemon8 for an easy summer makeup look and when I do download it the first step is to put in my birthday. I am old enough for Lemon8 and I put down my birth date, but it preceded to say i’m not eligible for Lemon8 even though I qualify for the age verification. So I do what a most people would do, look up the problem and see how to fix it but instead I see that a bunch of people are having the same issues and nobody knows how to fix it. I even tried years that wouldn’t make sense. For example I put my month and the day and then I put 1944. Still not eligible. Just from that I don’t think Lemon8 should be in my phone. If you like Lemon8 good for you but after this experience I just don’t want to deal with this problem again. So I don’t really recommend this app. But the great stuff i’ve heard about it on instagram and tiktok made me give it one extra star because it seems like it can be useful in current ways.

OK so it’s just that I don’t meet the age requirement first I’m 15. I’m gonna be honest I’m 15 so I’m trying to get some like tips because I saw this on TikTok and a lot of my friends were talking about it and I’m like you know what I’m a try it so I put in my age February 10, 2009 so I’m trying to access Lemon8 but it’s saying that I don’t need the age requirements so like you know it’s fine. I’ll just do it on my iPad. I don’t use my iPad a lot, but I heard really great things about Lemon8 so I got to my iPad and I said maybe it’s for 20+ I guess for some reason so I put my same birthday but then I put 1993 because yeah I just put something in them but it still doesn’t let me so I am so confused now fix your app because it’s a 12+ the age requirements is 12+ so like why just why it’s I’m so confused because I’m over 12 and maybe they change the age requirement and they didn’t change Lemon8 Store or something I don’t know but fix SORRY FOR ANY GRAMMER MISTAKESS

So I had Lemon8 because I seen stuff about it on TikTok. I really liked it and I thought it was really useful. One day I get on Lemon8 and decided to post something. It got a few like but not many, but that’s not the apps fault. But then a few days later it ask for an age requirement, I also seen this on other peoples reviews. So I put in 2009 because I’m 14 which is OVER the age requirement, and apps that do not have he age requirement for me to have I literally can’t get it… it ended up saying i didnt reach the age requirements but I didn’t know why, so I ended up going higher year and then lower and I just kept getting the same response. I deleted Lemon8 and hoping I could just make another account.. but no.. it pulled me to the same screen asking my date of birth and I enter it and I yet get the same thing. I liked Lemon8 but it is a 2 star for me because it just had to many issues… it would so be a 5 star if I did not have this problem. And btw I had Lemon8 maybe for a month befor it did this.

This is just your average yellow colored instagram meets Pinterest.

First and foremost: there is not option to filter out content you don’t want to see, and there’s a lot of Christian content being pushed to the algorithm by people who absolutely have no interest and don’t stop to read or like these posts. Makes us wonder if this is by design or Christian owned.

Otherwise, every post is curated / modern fantasy. It’s no better for mental health and it seems largely geared toward promoting a material lifestyle or influencing.

On top of that, there's a lot of troll posts

"why I eat these rocks every day" and just the most unhinged content. If you know you know.

I think they should take community violation reports seriously and moderate Lemon8 better. There's a lot of violence and hate going on, reporting doesn't even help.

An Islamophobic comment was reported and it did not go against community guidelines, and then all this Christian content is promoted. I’m not religious but, Hmmmm. Makes you wonder.

this app team: to improve Lemon8, allow users to select an option to say “I don’t like this” or “not interested”. Maybe we can block hashtags.

Make more user friendly community guidelines that encompass all beliefs and take the reports seriously.

So I was on Pinterest and I saw Lemon8 and I was like oooOoO ima get this, so I did. I upload my first video of and edit of dance moms, right. Everything goes well I start uploading more edits and one of them got a lot of views and likes. I gain followers. I search around Lemon8 , finding interesting and cool people! I find this one woman who is so full of energy, confidence, love and more. So obviously I would be looking forward to seeing more of her content, right. I find more fun people. Do some commenting( people are actually so nice there, depending on what the post is). So I go take a shower. Once I get out the shower I go back into Lemon8 trying to see if that one edit I posted got more likes. I can’t get to the inbox area because... IT SAYS I DON’T MEET THE AGE REQUIREMENT!!😡😤🤬!! IM SO MAD AND ANNOYED BECAUSE THE AGE REQUIREMENT DOR Lemon8 SAYS 12+!! DOES IT NOT?!?!!?! So I try to find out why I’m not meeting the stupid age requirement. Well this definitely has potential but there is nothing special to it. it’s just like instagram or Pinterest. i have post a couple of times and i have use the #teenager on a couple of my post but then a warning pops up, saying that this might result in harm. that doesn’t make sense to me… how does being a teenager cause harm. Like if i’m sorry that i’m a teenager and just because i’m a teenager that is harmful. Well Lemon8 can be be fun there are some minor glitches that make that app not as fun and it keep showing me many of the same posts over and over again. i’m not trying to hate on Lemon8 but i’m just trying to share my experience because I know Lemon8 could be such a big hit in the future!

Feels like a bunch of lazy ads pasted together by “creators” who would rather be on any other app hawking their subpar wares. Look elsewhere for creative inspiration for life, fashion, and lifestyle (whatever that means).

I think Lemon8 has a lot of potential. It seems to want to highlight non-aesthetic content but the content posted definitely is aesthetic centered but that is more reflective of my generation (gen-z) than anything else. That said every social media platform has its negative corners, which is also fine, However, there doesn’t seem to be a “Not Interested” option on posts with content you dislike. Yes I can block an entire account but if my feed is meant to be curated to my interests I’d think similar content with tags similar to the accounts I’ve blocked would still pop up. I’ve seen other people complain (on Lemon8 , in their own posts) about not seeing content that resonates with who they are and I feel like that is in the same realm of issues I’ve discussed. Aside from that I can see myself spending time on Lemon8 , it reminds me of a more refined instagram with some qualities of Pinterest. The UI is very clean to me and the content I’ve seen has been simplistic and fun for the most part.

it’s a good app and people are so nice!! amazing content is posted and positivity is spread through out.

my problem is there is kids on Lemon8. there’s this user named Jinx something who it posting obviously sexual content. many people including myself have reported her videos as well as her profile. immediately (way too soon for them to be able to check the problem) it’s said that the video doesn’t violate community guidelines. 3 seconds isn’t enough to check and you should have actual employees investigating the content to ensure it is safe for the 12 YEAR OLDS that are allowed on Lemon8.

it’s a really good app, but don’t let your children on Lemon8. they don’t do anything to protect the safety and innocence of your child, they will blatantly ignore your concerns of adult content, and your child will be exposed to it.

This is a good app to get inspired on anything. I was very excited to start posting my own content and to get inspired too, however that didn’t last 3 minutes for me. I joined and made my account along with the bio and linked it to my tik tok as well as my instagram. Once I was looking through other creators content in the for you I got a message saying my account was banned due to violating some of their guidelines. I didn’t know what i’ve violated, I could think of how I did lied about my age saying I was born on 2005 when I was really born in 2009. So I put I born on 2005 but then I put i was 14 in my bio, so at first I thought “oh maybe because I lied right?” because at that time I didn’t check the age limit to have Lemon8. So I go and check in app store and Lemon8 says 12+. So now I have no idea why my account was banned. I’m disappointed, I was really happy I was gonna get a new app to get inspired from other than pinterest. I hope you fix this problem and if not at least tell the person what guidelines they “violated”.

It feels very OG IG meets instagram stories and a bit of Pinterest. I love that. But what it’s lacking is the tiktok feel of “Real People.” They are on Lemon8 it’s just they are currently getting washed out by all the big makeup & fashion influencers you can find on any other app.

I can’t tell if their goal was just to get as many people on Lemon8 as soon as possible, spread the word fast, and that’s why it’s not very inclusive right now or if this is the direction they want Lemon8 to go. That has not been made clear.

Unless the clarity is in the lack of having a pet category. No photography (being a photo first app). Art. Music. Motherhood section/community is lacking as well & so many others. I get that those can & probably will develop over time, but there’s already so many amazing influential people in these industries / categories that they could have brought in to help pilot Lemon8 yet chose purely beauty & fashion influencers & their content is all the algorithm picks up regardless of who you interact with. I get enough of that on other platforms.

Because of that I am already feeling drained seeing the same makeup & morning routine 1000 times. Not sure there is much more to gain from Lemon8 at the moment but the same fashion advice repeated to you 1000 times.

I do hope it evolves though, because it has potential!

Alright look. I’m all for people having a safe space to go to, and Lemon8 has seemed to be just that! But lately, there have been so many little kids/minors coming onto Lemon8 and quite frankly it’s just not a safe environment for kids under 18. Say what you wanna say about it but I’ve seen some pretty adult content on here and as an adult, it makes me very uncomfortable knowing that there are minors that can see some of these things.

I’m all about having a diverse community, but seriously, there’s a line between being inclusive and just plain unsafe. The problem is, every time I try to report the minors i find coming across my page, Lemon8 “security” or whoever basically hits me with a ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ “who cares” and says they don’t see any issue. Talk about frustrating.

So, instead of just slapping an age restriction on Lemon8 and calling it a day, how about we beef up security? or maybe implementing a sign-up process that’s a bit more thorough than a Buzzfeed quiz. Because let’s face it, Lemon8 isn’t exactly playground material. It’s time for something to change. Here’s hoping they kick things up a notch and make this space a safer spot for everyone! Cheers to that!

I’ve seen and heard so many good things about Lemon8 and how it helps with makeup and skincare so I though this would be perfect for me because I started doing makeup like a year or 2 ago so I’m kind of new to it. The age said it was for people 12+ and I’m 14 so I though, this is perfect I should fit in perfectly. Clearly I was wrong. When I downloaded Lemon8 I saw it asked for age so I put in my age, but it said I was to young, so I kept going back and back and back but it still said too young. I WENT BACK TO AGE 35 AND IT STILL SAID TO YOUNG. I have no idea what the actual age is for Lemon8 but whatever it is it is some outrageous number. Like do I have to be 123 in order to use Lemon8 !? I don’t know if this is some bug or what but after some research I’ve concluded that I am not the only person who has encountered this problem. I’m asking the people who made Lemon8 to please look into this and see if it is some bug or what.

To start off, I think Lemon8 is adorable and I love the community feel and the types of content creators are sharing! It feels like a combination of Pinterest, TikTok and Instagram - which is amazing! However, when I try to post a carousel post (multiple pictures per post) - it is not visible to anyone but me. Yes, I did check the privacy settings and they are set to public. I have posted single pictures to my feed and they have worked and have been shown to my followers. Not sure if I am missing something or if there is an extra approval step? Would love to have access to all the features so I can continue to use Lemon8! Thank you!

⚠️⚠️‼️There was a woman named Alyssa and I asked why she randomly followed me , she texted me randomly “ Can I cash app you” and I said why to her. Then she texted at 3:00AM “for blessing” and I said i wasn’t going to give personal info out even if it’s just a cash app and reported her. this app said she wouldn’t get in any trouble for it and I could simply block her and it’s not a big deal , basically telling me I’m being sensitive . I don’t feel comfortable with a random stranger asking me questions and then Lemon8 telling me I’m being sensitive. It’s my info and my life, I would not like the person to text me again, so I blocked her. But not doing anything and not caring is where I draw the line. You should at least do something about the person who texted me randomly , this app, explain!!!!⚠️⚠️‼️

this app, I’m trying your app, and it’s ok - except that I NEED to have a quicker way to control what I see on my feed. As it is I have to go through and block the creator if I don’t like what they post. That would be unnecessary if there was a quick “dislike” or “see less of this” button.
No shade to people posting what they wanna post. I want them to have their platform. But some things trigger me or bother me, and not being able to opt out of seeing content like that makes Lemon8 really unpleasant to use.
I worry that by clicking through to the block option, the algorithm sees me “engaging“ with that content and just gives me more of it. YIKES!

I just downloaded Lemon8 because i saw people saying that it was kinda like a smush of pintrest, instagram, and tiktok. I think it really is similar to all of those things, but it feels really cluttered. It is like pintrest in the basic interface, but you cannot scroll from one post to another, which makes it a little frustrating.

As I was setting up my profile, I was a little confused because it was showing at only 90% complete. I clicked through a little more and it wanted to know information about exactly where I lived. It just felt a little uncomfy giving them that much info

The last thing that I have found frustrating is that on Lemon8 store, the age is listed as 12+ but when I signed up for Lemon8 , it would not let me join unless I put my birthday to put me over 18

Lemon8 needs a few things like an art tab for one, but also a way to draft and schedule your posts. I also think you should be able to add videos in the same post as a photo. As an artist, I like to post the art and then a speed painting video of the art in the same post. I also think limiting Lemon8 to certain things like beauty, fashion, home, and health is stunting on what Lemon8 could be in the future. Like all major platforms have an array of things you can create content on. If it limit’s itself only to those things I listed I don’t think Lemon8 could compete with instagram, Pinterest, or even tumblr if that is this apps goal. I would personally be less likely to stick with Lemon8 if it doesn’t expand the array of content it promotes on it’s platform.

Y’all. It says that’s it’s 12+ on the bio of Lemon8 but does it really let you go in if your 12?? Nope! I’m literally 12 years old and it didn’t work. Until y’all get y’all’s age thingy in control I’ll actually rate it but until then, y’all gotta make it accurate. I will update if it starts working. *UPDATE* Ok it’s working now!!! I’m really excited to use Lemon8! I’ll let you guys know how it is when I use it. *LAST UPDATE* Ok Lemon8 is so great. I love how you can look at pictures and everything is just so good. I just wish that you can access the videos more easily instead of searching up videos, and also i wish that going to the next video was a little bit more easier than exiting out of it and clicking the next vid. But other than that I love it.

I haven’t used Lemon8 long I just downloaded it but I really like it so far. A couple suggestions that I would have would be to be able to choose if I just want to see videos or still posts and make them easy to switch to and from the videos and posts. Also, to be able to scroll through either the search results or creators content without having to switch back to the rest of the results. In other words being able to continuously scroll through whatever content there is until the end. I can’t wait to explore more of Lemon8 and so far I’m very impressed.

Absolutely love the vibe and the clean interface, however it does feel a little limited right now (April 2023). Not that many categories for the for you page, and the ability to switch the way you view posts would be a huge plus. Switching to a more Instagram style scrolling, or a more Pinterest style (it’s currently mostly like that) where you can click on a picture or video but then continue swiping to see more posts without going back to that zoomed out view.

Super promising app, and I’m hoping it’ll make me delete Instagram :)

… but there should be a feature where I can get rid of the content I don't wanna see. For example, I keep getting religious content as well as other content I don't want on my timeline. I don't have a problem with these kinda posts, I'm just simply not interested. Currently, the only options at my disposal are to block or report. There should be something like a "not interested in this topic" or a "don't show me this again" sort of feature just like on any other app.

Of course it's easier said than done (or else I would've done it myself) I just think Lemon8 would benefit from having these options.

I feel like Lemon8 has restarted my interest in social media. It allows me to create the content I would want to make for TikTok, if it weren’t for needing to do video. I prefer photos and this is the perfect outlet! Kind of a mix between Pinterest & Instagram. It’s extremely user friendly! Only downside is that there are minimal topic categories and doesn’t seem to hit the male audience. Lemon8 seems to be primarily for females. It’s also another app for majority to post their “highlights” of their life, unlike TikTok, which comes off as more realistic content.

Lemon8 is like Pinterest on steroids, and I’m all here for it. You really do find new ideas everyday, and everyone on Lemon8 is so positive. The only thing is, I have so many different collections for my post, and it gets a little irritating scrolling for the right one when I try to save a post. PLEASE please please make a search option for the collections. It would be sooo convenient. Otherwise, I really do love Lemon8, it’s so fun to look at all the creative post. I find hairstyle ideas, places to shop for cute clothes, and I find a lot of my Instagram poses on here. I even find ideas like Instagram layouts, music playlist, and photo editing. There is so much variation and so many things to discover within Lemon8.

I am really enjoying Lemon8. For the most part, it is very relaxing and I see lots of content I’m interested in such as books, video games, and makeup. It feels like a safe space. The reason I didn’t rate 5 stars is we NEED a “not interested” option for content that we don’t like. As a plus size feminist, I don’t want to see fatphobic and anti-abortion posts. I don’t want to have to click the posts to block the creator, I just want to be able to hold down and choose not interested so I will see less of it. Thanks!!

this app is a small, but amazing social media platform where people of any age can share their mind and way of thinking! I downloaded Lemon8 a few weeks ago, and have been loving it since! I love how easy it is to access your followers, liked videos and pictures, and the content you love the most. There are a few things that might be a drawback: this app's users are mostly females, and of course females and males mostly have different content preferences. Also, it can be a bit difficult when you try and post photos without the Live Photo option. Either you take the picture with no Live Photo, or you have to edit the picture. Other than that, I'm very happy with Lemon8. Wonderful job!

there are so many good things about the energy on Lemon8 and the way you make posts. it’s much more of a creative outlet/visual diary than most social medias. its a good mix of the pinterest aesthetics, mood board vibes, and social media! a great place to sort of romanticize your life, share tips in hobby niches, and put yourself out there without feeling as judged as some other social medias make you feel. i wouldn’t say it’s more ‘real’ because there’s definitely a lot of idealized content, but that content comes from more of an average user getting to make to make our lives feel more aesthetic which can be really motivating

the main thing i’ve noticed is the push of really old content (posted 1+ years ago) from inactive accounts because so many users dropped off Lemon8 after 2023. i’d love go see more new user content from smaller accounts. there’s a trend of all the the sort of ‘big accounts’ on Lemon8 posting 5-10 times in one day once every one or two months and then radio silence, all going inactive dec 2023. i assume there was some sort of partnership contract that ended but this has left a huge gap in the content and all the pushed popular posts are super old.

Lemon8 has been an absolute joy. I'm still not sure I'm using it right but I'm learning as I go and I don't really care if it gets large or not. I'm enjoying it just as it is it's got his own flair. It's got its own camera it's guys on system and I'm really enjoying it, it's also good to learn something new keeps your mind fresh, so yes, I love it very very very very very much. this app is so amazing!! Basically I’m gonna tell the story on how I found Lemon8.

So about a few weeks ago, I got a new iPhone and I wanted to download Pinterest because it has everything i need on there. When i downloaded Pinterest and i tried to sign into my account, it said that my account was “DEACTIVATED.” I was so upset that I didn’t even want to have Pinterest anymore, so I deleted it. Then earlier today, I was scrolling on my local TikTok and I see an advertisement with this app! Then I said “you know what, since I see Lemon8 on ads so many times, I’m gonna download it and see what all the hype is about.”

I download this app and it was so easy to sign into an account! When I got into Lemon8 , it looked like heaven in paradise🙌🏾 this app is kind of like a mixture of Instagram as I see it myself, and it has MORE than everything I need! Lemon8 has been a breath of fresh air to say the least! I really enjoy the layout and posting format of this app. I also really really like that we can add links to our profiles without a minimum follower requirement - THAT is awesome and helps us all connect even more.
**Literally my 1 flaw I’ve found is they don’t have a ‘toggle’ option (As of this review on 4/9/23). I thought maybe the recent update would fix that but it wasn’t in that bug fix. Being able to be logged into multiple accounts and toggle back and forth is really beneficial to a lot of us with personal accounts, business or esthetic accounts and I’d love for that toggle to be added ASAP 🤞🏼 Right now you have to fully log out, and log back in each time to switch accounts.

Love this app! Lemon8 is so easy to use, and the rewards are amazing! I've earned cash back and discounts on my favorite purchases, and the cashout process is seamless. The community is also super supportive and helpful, always sharing tips and tricks for maximizing rewards. Lemon8 's interface is clean and intuitive, making it a breeze to navigate. Plus, the customer support team is responsive and friendly. 10/10 would recommend! 5/5 stars!. But I think as well as my friends who also have Lemon8 think that the short form videos are unnecessary and ridiculous . I feel like it would really help Lemon8 grow if they didn’t have any limits or restrictions on the videos that can only be allowed in under one minute. I hope this app hears me out and can hopefully make some changes other than that Lemon8 is perfect.

Amazing app, the inspo i get from pinterest but way better! So simple and easy to use with amazing tips! I loveee that there are no ads! I just hope it remains like that even after Lemon8 gets more love!

The creation tool is very user friendly, I don’t need another editing app to post content. And everyone in this community is so supportive, I feel very welcomed. I love using Lemon8 since downloading it. I deleted most of my social media apps but keeping this one all time. What I love about Lemon8 is that you ALWAYS find so new so creative ideas and you ACTUALLY learn new things A LOT. Lemon8 has really good positive posts and creators which makes me so happy. There is almost no negative! Which is super cool in our days! But there is some things I would change or add.
1. Please do more filtering and blocking on aggressive or provocative posts and creators which I see much often then before. Of course I block or report them most of the time…
2. I would love if you guys can add dark theme to interface.

I love Lemon8 a lot and even met some now close friends on there. So first I was wonder why your disabling dms and how long it will be for and personally I think there’s no point is disabling it. Now for some suggestions. First I think you should make it an option for everyone in settings to have dms off or disabled so not everyone has to not message people when they want too. Second and me and a friend I met on here think that when dms are available again (or if you take my first suggestion) you could make it so you make group chats on Lemon8 . I met a lot of people and we all want to message eachother on Lemon8 but for those who have strict parents or feel safer not giving their real number having it on Lemon8 seems like a better idea. I hope you can take these into consideration and have a good day/night!!

I never review I have been on Lemon8 for 15 minutes and I feel inspired. Looking at new recipes, new workouts and makeup styles that I want to try already! Once again I never review no app! But I had to review, I really like Lemon8 and I hope nothing changes from it. We need something different we already have TikTok. We already have instagram and reels. Lemon8 has taken the best of Pinterest, Instagram and blogging into one place. The editing and filters are better than most paid apps, I was blown away. I’m having SO much fun posting and not caring if it’s getting 1,000 views like on Instagram.

The communities already forming on this app are really encouraging. So far, it’s mostly women I’m seeing and connecting with. Everyone has been supportive and honest, which is refreshing. They just want to share their life story and that’s what social should be about. There’s almost a plea from most everyone on Lemon8 to “keep it this way”. It won’t. But, instead of trying to force it to be something, get in early/now and be part of the growth to take it in the direction you/we want to see.

I downloaded Lemon8 for another platform in case tiktok gets removed. I love Lemon8 and check it more than instagram. The community has been amazing nothing to complain about. It seem very organic with how we receive the post and how post get viewed. I honestly feel like it’s perfect maybe a few updates but hope it doesn’t go crazy with the features as we’ve seen other apps do. I hope more join Lemon8 and have fun using it like the rest of us are.

Is like Instagram and Pinterest made a baby 🍋. Absolutely love it. They don’t have ads yet and I love that. Lemon8 is easy to use, has a lot of different filters, templates, texts you can use to make your photos or videos stand out.

P.S. this app team please check the hashtags. Whenever I try to use some of them, my videos don’t basically appear into any hashtags I’m using and is such a bummer. Is on and off. Sometimes they work sometimes they don’t work at all. Thank you!

after the downfall of twitter and general deterioration of most social media apps, i’ve been on the hunt for social media that A) inspires me and B) doesn’t use psychological tricks to make me want to scroll infinitely. this app fills both of these! i’m having so much fun hanging out on Lemon8 for a healthy amount of time each day, never feeling like i’m doomscrolling, and leaving Lemon8 feeling better than i did when i opened it, unlike other apps. in addition to this, the community on this app is so friendly and positive! i love it!

My review of Lemon8 is: if Instagram and Pinterest had a baby, Lemon8 would be it! I am obsessed with Lemon8 and have found it to be helpful! My feed is mostly about books because I am a writer that is working on content. I love anything organization. To be honest, I wouldn’t have known about the book Atomic Habits if it weren’t for my interests and Lemon8!
Love Lemon8 so much and I constantly refer it to friends to check out!
I also will be doing more book reviews too and including them on my website on my blog page.

I absolutely love Lemon8 it’s perfect! I love to post stuff but can never find the right platform this app is so easy to post on and there’s so many informational videos on how to do just about anything! I was looking for acrylic nail inspo and I looked it up on this app and omg! It let me sort into what I wanted by color and shape and omg!!! I finally found a nail design that I wanted in like one second on this app! It made it so easy! On every other app I have been trying to find a perfect nail design and it was so annoying because it never let me sort the nails into what I wanted. But I will say I had a problem in the beginning even tho I was of age to get Lemon8 it would not let me in so I deleted and redownloaded and put in a random birthday saying like 1930 I think but it still wouldn’t let me in and that’s plenty of age. So I emailed them and they got right back to me the next day and fixed the problem so now I have this amazing app!!!!

If this application can keep the advertisers and the bots off, then this may be a new place where people can share their lifestyles ideas and artwork because now the other social media applications have been saturated this will be a new ground for people to show their artwork before the opportunity to come and try to flood the algorithm to where we’re not able to see each other anymore. So far more people are seen my artwork on Lemon8 than any other.

When I saw a new app was rolling out and gaining momentum, I honestly thought “Do we really need another platform to consume all our time?”
However, I can honestly say that I would gladly ditch IG to keep creating on this platform. No exaggeration. Here’s why..
IG has been overrun with ads, product pushing, and the algorithm pushes content inconsistently and out of order.
this app has been amazing so far by simply inspiring creativity, building community, exposing you to followers you probably haven’t been able to come across on other apps, and the editing features are SO MUCH FUN!! I can’t wait to see how it plays out long term.

i am seriously obsessed with Lemon8…the overly aesthetic posts i am just in love with. it makes it so easy to learn and romanticize life and i just love it so much.

one complaint i have is that even if you just view a few of the same kinds of posts, not even liking them or anything, your entire feed becomes curated to that type of content! just because i view it, does not need i want to see it constantly. i wish it only showed you the kind of content that you like or comment on

You should make one or multiple accounts on one device One reason is if you put your date of birth and you click next it may say you can not join this platform Another reason is you may be kicked out of your account and if so you may have to keep rejoining but this app is still an amazing platform And this is just what happened to me Also I told my bestie to join this app and her mom is very protective so my bestie read the reviews and I was super shocked of all the complaints of everyone this app is a very safe app if your parents don't let you go on TikTok this app is a alternative for a safe platform that kids could go on and enjoy Also I like that you have an option on what your For You Page is all about I don't understand all the reviews that are just speaking of there For You Page and that it has inappropriate posts They probably choose that and as I said it's not inappropriate So please let your kids join

The only thing I think should be adjusted is the age limit I’m 13 and I think that we should be allowed on Lemon8 . It’s to the point where we have to fake our age which we shouldn’t have to do if it would just allow 13 y/o. It’s not a huge issue so I don’t think it’s bad enough to take a star away but I got banned for being 13. Lemon8 seems VERY kid friendly even for like 9+ and 13 y/o know more than you think we don’t need to sheltered much cause we’re teens. We are NOT 8 y/o. And don’t even say that it’s for our safety we don’t need that anymore on these kinds of apps. They’re perfectly fine for teens. And most of us have been talked to enough by our parents and our friends and have experienced being sexually assaulted or have been stared at by people to know that we should either block them or tell someone and grownups will handle it. I get that some teens are very irresponsible but most of us are mature enough to make the right decision. But overall Lemon8 is great I just need to fake my age to be able to see cool stuff like makeup tips and funny videos.

Lemon8 simply DOES NOT WORK! I found out about Lemon8 because a lot of my friends were trying it. It seemed like it would be a great app for inspiration and some stuff just for fun. When I downloaded Lemon8 the first thing it asked me was my age. So I put in my age. I am 13 so I thought it would work! When I put in my age and pressed next it said I wasn’t eligible for this app! So I tried again, and again. IT STILL WOULDN'T WORK!! So I started putting in random ages to see if it would be a bug or something. I put in my regular birthdate but then put 2000. It still said I wasn’t eligible even though if I was born on that date I would be 24 years old! Lemon8 simply wouldn’t work for me but I saw some other reviews talking about this too! I also saw some people saying it worked for them. If this is a bug anyone who can fix this pls fix this bug! I would really like to enjoy Lemon8 and not have to be “not eligible”. PLEASE FIX THIS!!

I joined this app in Feb 2024 and it’s honestly been the best experience I’ve had on any app I’m currently on. this app is full of useful tips, information, tutorials and more. I also love it because it houses a more mature audience of likeminded individuals unlike some of the other apps that’s just full of immature kids. There’s way less bullying on L8 as well which nowadays is a huge plus. this app makes it possible for you to grow organically as a creator. You don’t have to be desperate for views and engagement and do childish “trends” to fit in or be seen. All you have to do is be yourself. They also have amazing challenges with incentives to not only help you grow but also rewards you with awesome giveaways. I’ve built an amazing community so far on this platform and I’m glad I joined 🍋

I figured as soon as I saw the ads for it that it's basically just an American version of the Chinese app "Red"/"Little Red Book." No hate, I love that app and it's great for aesthetic inspo but of course the only downside is that all of the posts and a lot of the UI is in Chinese.

The only drawback of this app as opposed to Red is that the community and thus the pool of posts is much smaller, but I love the format and hope it grows so that there's more content. I'm sick of Instagram and how it's basically become "advertise your existence" over actual content creation and fun connection. Apps like this and Red are providing what the younger generations like Gen Z and Alpha want from their social media; sharing the things you like without all the visibility.

this app has become one of my favorite apps, despite some things. The only I would say I dislike is how I can't "not recommend" something but have to block them instead and every other acc I don't like when they pop up. But in all honesty I don't mind having to block people that much bc there's so many other great things about Lemon8 ! I find good recommendations for things, I've never seen any creepy/predator type of comments or posts so they seem to be pretty monitored! They have challenges sometimes to win prizes and it's a safe space to post almost anything! I feel like it's a better safer version of Pinterest but that's just my opinion, all love to Pinterest still! ❤️

So I think this is a great platform the only thing I will say is that there are too many creeps on here messaging me asking for my cash app and stuff like that which it already happened like three times and I hope people would stop messaging me about those it’s kinda annoying. I hope this app will change their messaging system where they can’t ask you for your personal info like cash app and what not :) even though I don’t use cash app I still don’t want people to ask that is about it and thanks for reading :) if only we get paid by having a cool picture that exceeds a lot of attention that we get paid or whatever that would be cool :)

this app you need to modify this feature on your platform so on your profile when you edit your profile and you add your name on your profile it is not fair that you women it to 15 characters on this app App you should make it unlimited so you can put your first name, full middle name, and last name on the this app App if you can’t do that on Lemon8 then put the first one is your first name next one is for your middle name and the last one is for your last name so that we can be able to put a full legal name on this app App so we can be able to be able to have that on a profile because the user share the right to put their first name, the full middle name and the last name and stop limiting it 100%

i absolutely love Lemon8 the developers did a really nice job. the algorithm is very fair so anyone can get lots of followers/likes. Lemon8 is not toxic for the most part and the moderation is good at removing bad comments. it’s very easy to use and has all kinds of content. if you are deciding to get Lemon8 and are under 18 you will have to put in your age as over 18 to get in from what i’m seeing in the other reviews. anyway here are some recommendations: we should be able to add music to the posts that aren’t videos and we should be able to add more than 10 slides in the slideshows. i also think you guys should add more things like the skin report feature like i really liked that and it was fun to use. keep up the good work this app developers!! 🍋❤️
