TraceTogether is completely worthless! After coming through immigration and proving my vaccinated status, for 4 weeks I had no issues. I’m here working so I require and vaccinated status. I had to go in to work one night on an emergency and get to the gate and voila my vaccinated status is now un-vaccinated. Explain this to me because once you take the vaccine it doesn’t seep back out of you. And help from TraceTogether seems to be non-existent. Now I’m hearing I may have to go and take a blood test to once again prove to these morons that I’m still vaccinated that nothing has changed. Poor decision in using a non-reliable app to prove you are vaccinated!

TraceTogether is mandated by the gov, which without it there’s no where you can go in Singapore. As important as it is, TraceTogether is inconsistent and randomly fails to show vaccination status even though you’re fully vaccinated, barring you to enter some venues when you need it the most. TraceTogether is also battery hog, you’d start to wonder what it actually do in the background and what data it collects.

- can’t the ID barcode be on opening page, instead I have to dig it out every time from the sub-menu? Or just let me add to the Wallet.
- can you add an intuitive check-in place suggestion/reminder based on location and favourite list?
- is Dark Mode too complicated for you?

It’s been 3 days after positive serology test results and my vaccination status still has not been updated as vaccinated. It also did not send me a reminder that I needed a serology test after entering more than 30 days. So dumb and slow.
Finally updated after 5 days.

Really buggy TT app.
Initially last month able to use TT app on iOS to check in and out. Starting this month, not sure why, cannot use TT app any more. Off/on bluetooth. Restart app , all cannot work.

Restart start iPhone, finally can use TT app, ONE TIME. Then after that cannot use any more. Tried to restart bluetooth , restart TT app, cannot.

Not sure if i missed any setting or I’m the only one.

I would like to know that a vendor or delivery person hasn’t received a possible exposure alert before allowing him/her into my premises. Removing that feature was a bad decision.

App does not support. Singapore Govt. does not know how to put foreigner vaccine info or official vaccine card on app

TraceTogether requires you to have it open to track your interactions. Effectively need to carry it in your hand at all times. If you follow the instructions of how to use it in foreground in power saver mode and place it in your pocket upside down an iOS device will still then from your body heat and touch movements think you are selecting things and will launch other apps. For the developers yes I killed all the apps open and after a walk 9 apps were open. The device had browsed the web, sent emails, posted rubbishy in SoMe, etc. on the bright side it opened one of my home automation apps and turned on one of my rooms AC (AmbiClimate app).

So while I praise the intent the implementation of TraceTogether is substandard and I will no longer use it as there are apps with the same design principles that do not have the same requirements. Just look at the design of fitness apps from companies such as Under Armour for better examples.

TraceTogether works ONCE, and subsequent check in attempts give me only an error: “Unable to check in. There seems to be a network issue..” This happens despite having a clearly working data connection!

Temporary time-consuming solution: delete TraceTogether , re-boot my phone, re-install TraceTogether , set it up (again), and then it will work ONCE.

I tell you, Singapore, I will no take pleasure in blocking up the line of people trying to enter a place while I complete all these steps every single time I need to go anywhere!!

Forget about using TraceTogether itself to report errors. That function also doesn’t work! I get another error that falsely claims “Check your connection. Don’t worry, it’s just the internet…”

It wouldn’t be so bad if the tokens batteries also die so quickly (and randomly), leaving me stuck. Seriously you had a year to get this working. Now TT entry is mandatory and TraceTogether doesn’t work!!

Yes, I have checked already that I have all software updates and have granted all permissions.

Terrible useless app!

TraceTogether is required to enter any building, shop, cafe, etc. in Singapore. So it’s proper functioning is critical. But it is terrible. TraceTogether was failing to read QR codes so I had to reload it. The fresh app would not accept my mobile number, so TraceTogether would not work. I checked with the local telco carrier, Singtel, and they said that there were no problems with my number. But, Trace Together support is only Mon-Fri, 9-6 pm. For an app that is CRITICAL TO MOBILITY in Singapore such limited customer support is extremely inadequate. TraceTogether and the system are failures.

Please include an update to let TraceTogether run effectively in the background for iPhones. iPhone users need to constantly remember to switch TraceTogether to the foreground and also, the fact that we won’t be able to use our phone for other purposes is a barrier to using it.

I was vaccinated while out of Singapore, but there doesn’t seem to be any way to add that to my health profile. Would be nice to see a way to fix that in a future version.

TraceTogether is acting weird and doesn’t allow me to verify my phone number. I have tried both a US phone number and a Chinese one to get OTP, but I received the error message saying that “error verifying phone number”

Please make TraceTogether easier to use.

Installed new version 2.1.2 which requires re-registration. Had to use passport registration because I have a FIN but don’t have a WP/EP/LTVP card, and card number is required to use FIN for registration. No problem, but understand from friends that when registered under WP/EP/LTVP the SafeEntry QR reader is available on home screen. Home screen then has a list of current check ins and option to check out. I can access QR reader from my profile page to check in, But then no option to check out even from profile page.

Would be great if you could also have the small widget size as iPhone screen real estate is precious. Lastly, when widget shortcut is clicked, would be great if we could choose to default to list of venues instead of just QR scan (useful when the placard is crowded with people and you just want to tap the list from a safe distance)

Would it be possible to get this usable in other countries? Please make it available as soon as possible. I'm in the US

This is a great app to trace movements. Important to realize that this contributes to social responsibility. We are all in this pandemic together. And we can only get out of it if we help each other by doing the right thing. Checking in and out of public venues is an important part of that social responsibility. My only suggestion is I hope this app will support Apple Watch.

I feel completely safe during this pandemic k having such a great app. I understand the UX could be improved with time. But right now we need a functioning app and it does a fantastic job. The new tap in feature works like a charm!

Check ins are seamless. Records nearby devices well. Appreciate that all the Bluetooth records of nearby devices are only stored on my phone and I have the choice to upload it if I get covid (which I hope I don’t)

Could we allow folks to use this in overseas numbers in Singapore?

When TraceTogether is open, I can’t sync with my Bluetooth headphones and fitness devices.

Excitedly downloaded TraceTogether and started the setup process.

Go to get the OTP - unclear why we need that for the setup, but okay we can do it - and I get the message:

“Error verifying phone number

We have blocked all requests from this device due to unusual activity. Try again later.”

Really? I request a OTP - first and only time - and you block me? No guidance on how to get unblocked?

Oh, and then it sits hung at the “Get OTP” screen.

Feels like this is not ready for prime time.

You can consider talking to TraceTogether developers of the dating app Happen to figure out how they made this same concept possible without running it in the foreground constantly.

Is it really true we can’t switch off the screen for TraceTogether to work ?

1. If so, why does TraceTogether need to be on?????? Why choose this method if it was known that u had to leave the screen on?

2. If not, The faq is not unclear on this.

On my first attempt, when trying to get the OTP, there was an error verifying my phone number. The message claimed that all requests from my device was blocked due to "unusual activity".

I have not even done anything else but try to get an OTP for the first time.

Please improve your error messages.

My device is not jail broken, nor have I been spamming. Yet I get an error message stating “We have blocked all requests from this device due to unusual activity. Please try again later. “

I was all for doing my part by installing TraceTogether but sorry this leaves a bad taste. I had better expectations of GovTech SG.

Prompt an error message to verify my mobile number...

TraceTogether only works if left on. I’m sure this is an Apple app requirement of sorts, but does make TraceTogether pretty useless. I was expecting TraceTogether to work in the background.

For the iOS issues mentioned in other reviews, could you consider collaborating with MIT’s SafePaths + PrivateKit effort? They seem to have been thinking about this issue for a while and may have suggestions for this project.

For the sake of everyone else, let’s do our part!

I like that TraceTogether can help me be informed if I’m near a COVID-19 case, while still protecting my privacy. Very useful. We need to fight this horrible disease together.

A great use of technology to trace infected. This should be rolled out globally and be mandatory.
