The latest redesign changed the way that very important information is displayed and now to see the account balance you have to go thru extra steps, making the app more difficult to use.
I believe the usability of the BenePass app would be greatly improved by 2 simple changes:
1. When opening the app, the first page to be displayed should be “Accounts” (instead of the current “Home”), showing the balance of the user accounts.
2. The current page “Home” should be renamed to “Transactions” (not sure the reason it is currently named Home since it only contains transactions on it)
That’s it! The current page “Cards” is fine the way it is. I hope the devs can fix it because this redesign really made something simple and practical more difficult to use.

In the two years I used Benepass through my employer for HSA administration, it was nothing but chronic errors and problems. Wrong cards. No cards. Unnecessary documentation requirements for providers who are coded as medical. They seem to be unfamiliar with HSA tax law and provided irrelevant, incorrect responses when I had to correct an excess contribution. App is so feature-light as to be mostly useless. For your gym benefit? Sure. Go right ahead. For something critical and tax-regulated like HSA? They seem to have no idea what they’re doing.

This app is terrible! I have hundreds of dollars in funds on the card and it continues to decline when I use it. It’s impossible to get human help when you need it. The reply the next day with canned responses. And then I have to go through the very annoying process of being reimbursed for all of the transactions I made on my credit card. It’s a nightmare to say the least!
