Camera never connected to phone out of the box. Tried emailing CSR 3-4 times. No answer. I too remember calling the toll free number, left two messages (maybe more I can’t remember) no response. I forgot I had signed up for a service portion of this systems, prior to running LaView ./camera. Two months goes by guess who’s calling? These geniuses, under a different company name “Invideo(a)” something to that affect, wanting to update my CC info. or they’ll cancel the service, for non payment! Side note: I recently cancelled my cc due to theft. On the call I was transferred over in over again, to “get you to the right department, please hold!” Finally reach a “cancellation specialists” only to discover their system mysteriously couldn’t find my account based on the phone number even by using the phone number, THEY CALLED ME ON!!!!!!!

Really?

Finally, I got fed up with dealing with them, yet again, I got tierd of the whole fruitless process and decided to get the refund through my bank, instead. Lesson learned.

This outfit is a hot mess of disorganization and empty promises. But sure are quick to call when their revenue count falls short, eh? Ridiculous outfit!

These cameras would be perfect for their price if LaView was more user friendly. LaView crashes more times than not and it takes FOREVER to look through the footage since there is no way to forward/rewind quickly, you to play the footage in real time or skip from minutes to minutes. Unless you know the specific time something happens you’re going to have to look through the alerts and try to judge what scenarios you’re looking for by sound or motion. That alone is why it gets 1 star, it’s frustrating going through hours of footage just to get to what you need to see…and then app crashes, and will crash 5+ more times before it works semi decently. I hate LaView so entirely much but the cameras are awesome for the prices.

My main issue are the ads that pop up as soon as you launch LaView .I have one of these light bulb cameras screwed in the porch light to over see the front yard and every other night I’ll hear a loud noise outside. EVERY SINGLE TIME I launch LaView , guess what, a 1-3 second promotional, upgrade, storage ad.
1-3 seconds isn’t long for an ad. BUT for a security camera that is meant for watching live footage on demand is meant for a quick launch to see what is happening outside or inside.
For example, the other night around 12 AM. I hear a loud noise, I launch LaView , I have to wait the few seconds to X the ad to see the live view. I see a guy looking into a car. But by the time it actually let me look at the live footage, 2 seconds later he ran off
Those three seconds are important live captures.
I only use this camera because I got it for free from my mom and haven’t had the time to install my Lorex cameras. As soon as I get the time to wire up the cat6’s around the attic, I’m tossing the this app in the trash.

The resolution and user-friendly setup are excellent. I do, however, find LaView itself to lag or even at times be completely unresponsive once open, notifications are sometimes around 10 minutes or more late, etc. To be clear, this is whether I am at home on my wi-fi with the cameras or out and about and I have had no issues with any other app or use of my phone. It works well enough to send me an alert (maybe on time maybe not) but not well enough for me to see what the alert was for within a reasonable amount of time…? Frustrating to say the least.

I liked the first set of cameras as baby monitors enough that I bought a second set to replace done other models I had purchased. LaView does require frequent restarts if cameras don’t load initially, but on the whole worked well. I have it hooked up to Alexa and have been able to see the cameras on my echo show. Unfortunately, this morning, LaView started crashing. Every time I open LaView , it immediately closes again. Even restarting LaView , restarting the phone, uninstalling and reinstalling LaView have not resolved the issue. Oddly, I can still see the cameras on the echo show, but cannot bring up LaView on my phone. I contacted customer support, this morning, but have not yet seen a response. I find this to be a very frustrating problem and may have to look into alternatives if it cannot be resolved quickly.

Update: resetting the WiFi router finally fixed it.

I’ve had a couple of cameras for way more then a year. Been very happy for the most part. Blink has higher quality but less functionality in LaView . In the last couple of days I was forced to sign back in and change password (normally stayed signed in on two different phones) now I can’t stay signed in and only use one device at a time. I had to set up the pattern unlock which it fine expect it I try to open in my other phone I have to sign back in with password and email(doesn’t talk to my iPhone passwords very well so it’s a big pain.) then if I go back to the other phone I have to start all over again. Not cool, takes too long to open and view when I’m trying to catch actions while they are happening.

I really love these cameras, but since the iOS16 update and the update that allows pop-up splash screens on LaView , I have had issues. The ads that load freeze my app up, and they do not allow me to skip them properly. Additionally they keep me from viewing my motion detection alarms in a timely manner. I usually have to exit LaView , and in the background, and eventually I can get in to see the motion detection. With iOS 16s update, LaView no longer goes to full screen when you tap the button on the top left, it simply allows you to pinch and widen, but never gores full screen nor will it rotate to the left to allow full screen viewing. This really makes me sad.

My cameras (I bought a 2 pack) were very easy to set up and the picture they provide is nice and clear. The sensitivity is good as far as using it for security. I found three things that could use improvement. When the motion sensor activates it gives you a still shot. It would be better to have 10 seconds of video. The cord is short so I bought an extension. The range of direction in which you can tilt the camera is not very broad. I would recommend you purchase them for inside your home and hope they change the firmware or tell me how to get a few seconds of video with an alert. You can always go to replay and find the time on the alert and view what occurred but that’s tedious and time consuming. Great cameras for the price!

I bought the this app camera for the outdoors even though they state they are indoor cameras. I have been able to protect them enough to have the SD card still work and not damage the cameras. So the indoor security cameras are not rated as waterproof however all I had to do was use some electrical tape to cover where the wire connects and where the SD card goes. I am afraid of the newest update as it may change things just like other companies we are now you have to pay for support for cloud services. My SD card and my cameras have survived outside in the pouring rain. However again I am not updating to the update that was given at the end of August beginning of September

Especially with my new 13 because I have given LaView 2 reviews already. I have changed it from a three star to a five star and when I edit my review, I cannot see either one of them but I wanted to update again saying that their customer service is beyond expectations, they do intend on improving their product from people like me in the field that actually use it every day and that impresses me more than anything I could ever tell you!!

I am so pleased with this camera. I’m glad I didn’t listen to my son to get a different type of a security system.
This camera was easy to install. It’s clarity picks up everything that you would need within its parameters and easy for reviewing with LaView .
I would definitely recommend this for anybody that wants to have a bit of security and a good safe feeling knowing your house is under surveillance regardless of where you decide to put this sweet little camera. I am so glad I have it.

Purchased the F1 cameras for indoor security monitoring about two weeks ago. I’ve had no issue with LaView or cameras the first week of usage. However, now when I try to open LaView it glitches and shuts down immediately. I have tried restarting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling LaView , and contacting customer support. The first two did not work and the latter of the three seems to be unreachable. As of now LaView is garbage leaving me no way to monitor my cameras as PC monitoring it’s not compatible at this time.

If you need a good reasonable camera these work really well! I purchased 4 for an 1800 sq ft home and they have been great! When I did have a problem customer service did well. The only unfortunate thing was that when I was out of town one of the cameras went offline and I couldn’t physically be there to reset it. However it eventually reset itself, could have been my internet connection. You do have to use 2g not 5g but for performance. Speaker is a bit distorted but everything else works well.

LaView is great for just being 6 months old. The layout is intuitive and easy to use. I’m using a pair of the (LV-PWR3) R3 PT Pan-Tilt WiFi cameras. The live view comes up fast and I haven’t had any connection issues yet. You can schedule times that local recording and motion alerts are active. You can scrub through the local recording with ease.

My only gripe is that the alerts page only shows you a screenshot and time. Then when you click on it, it doesn’t take you to playback that section of the local recording. It just takes you to the live view. To view what triggered the alert you have to look at the time stamp on the alert.

Then you have to go to playback and scrub through 24 hrs of footage to find that time stamp. It’s inconvenient and I’d like to be able to click on the alert and it automatically take me to the corresponding local footage. You could even have a yellow marker in the playback scrub bar to mark where an alert occurred. LaView is perfect other than that.

I believe this app is one of the best products available on the market in the aspect of price/service. You get what you pay for so don't cheap out and buy another brand (opinion)... 1) you dont need a subscription to view footage, save, and watch live. 2) they are extremely easy to set up and use. 3) the more one has, the better… my only gripe is that anyone with common sense knows that security cameras only work when they are connected to wifi. So with that being said a solution to this would be automatic text notifications to users as well as the option to turn on or off in the settings the ability for the cameras to start recording during the entire duration of the wifi being turned off so that when the wifi comes back on there is still footage if anything were to happen while the wifi was off.

I can’t believe how Simple setup was ! I tend to be Challenged when it comes to Techy Stuff , but Even I at 74 figured Out These Simple Cameras ! I have Several . WE Like them So much , we got both our Sons some and Our Neighbors got a few as well . I am pleased to say EVERYONE LOVES them and was Impressed at the simplicity of Setup and Operation as well as the Picture Quality!
NO COMPLAINTS or Issues To DATE to Report . Everyone Loves their Cams !
I HIGHLY Recommend them ! I tried cameras that were 10 times the price of these AND Had to return them due to Incompatibility with my internet provider ! this app Cameras and System ARE TOP SHELF, in my Book !

You will not regret buy these cameras. If you live alone or with a family. In these times with the digital age you need the help of having another eye around your home. Either have one pointed at your front entrance or even just around the house to make sure everyone and everything is safe and secure. We can leave and know that things will be ok. I know my son is ok and even when he’s in his room doing his homework and I can just let him know dinner is ready. He loves the fact that he’s safe when I’m just down the hall or down the street. The cost is definitely worth it. I’ve had these for about 6 months and everyone got these for Christmas this year. Love these.

considering the price of these cameras, for 2, they images, recording and app that accompanies it is SO EASY to use and adjust!
My hubby who is completely NON tech savvy, he does NOT even know now to text or even use maps on his phone, found it extremely easy to open the camera app and zoom in and out and I was totally shocked to find that he was able to record the session he was watching!!! Basically if MY husband, who does NOT know how to even use his smart phone, sadly the phone is smarter than he is, if HE can figure it out, ANYONE CAN!! The quality is very good for the price point as well. Definitely going to get more for office and seasonal rental!!

I wasn’t sure how these would work out but I absolutely love these! I have 4 f2 cameras around the house! I love how when I’m not home I can just open LaView and look and see how my dogs are doing! The camera allows me to speak through them to which is another feature I enjoy! It allows me to talk to my pups whenever I’m at work or whenever I’m just out an about! I’m so glad we found these because now that I have them I don’t know what I would do without them ! I have already recommended these to multiple friends and family because they are so amazing!! LaView is so amazing it allows me and my spouse to be able to communicate back and forth as well as to our child whenever she’s downstairs and we’re upstairs! Thank you for making These! Super cheap and very reliable !!

This is my 1st this app product. I purchased the light bulb camera. I have been really impressed with the ease of setup, the quality of images and the functionality of the product at a low cost price. It fulfills what I needed it to do without running wires or cables. Just screw into a light socket, open LaView and control. The 360 degree directional positioning is a plus to scan my whole backyard when we are not home. I also bought their waterproof wireless camera to have a stationary view of my garage entrance. The 90 Day rechargeable battery is a big +.
