Good food Non Existent customer service

I’ve been using Yoshinoya for about a year now and up until now I have had no problems. I recently ordered food from the Atlantic and willow store and when I arrived to pick my food up the restaurant was closed. You’d think like any other food app you’d simply be able to cancel the order right? Well it’s not the simple. When you go to cancel the order you’re presented with the restaurant’s phone number to call and if the store is open you’d just call them an cancel the order but again the one I ordered from was closed. So I go online to reach out to customer service call the number listed to the website no one picks up perfect, so I write them a email. The I check Yoshinoya and it’s telling me my order is completed so I give the restaurant a call and they tell me they can’t do refunds for orders via Yoshinoya and that I’d have to reach out to customer service. So over the course of 3 days I’m calling the number listed on the website to no avail I even send another email. And nothing I don’t receive any type of confirmation email or text messages. At this point I’m just going to call my bank and see what my options are because I’m not letting that 17$ slide. Just figured I’d write this review as a warning to others who look to make orders via Yoshinoya , if you have any issues don’t expect any customer service. All I wanted was some food not to feel robbed.

Visit Two Days Apart

My visit on 12/18 to the Gardena location I asked the cashier if my loyal app was scan on this visit, and the gentleman said yes. I realize on 12/20 it did not, so I scanned the receipt only to receive a message that it’s old...two days???
The next issue I would like to report is for my visit on 12/29 and once again the Gardena location. I get the social distance. But after the cashier completed my order today he then bagged my order he called in the next customer, so I proceed to the beverage counter where another customer was there playing with the sodas and ice machine and then proceed to wash his hands. Out of the three employees I could not get any oof their attention for a hole fives minutes of what the guy was doing and I had to ask the employee to clean the counter. Customer should me concern with food safety as well as Covid.

Had a very disappointed visit worker was very rude to me I asked for some chili powder he handed me a container with very little when I eat their food I like to put a lot so I asked him if he can put a little more he told me that they don’t give alot to people and I told him that I just wanted a little bit more so he gave me a little more but at the same time saying I’m only gonna put a little more he made me feel embarrassed and like I was asking for the whole container

I asked for not so fried rice, which is 50 cents. She rang up two lemon butter at 35 cents each. I questioned her twice and she kept giving strange reason. Finally she said “it’s for the fried rice but I don’t know the key”. I’m like, “that’s ok but it should only be 50 cents!” She says” yeah, two times 35”! WHAT? I asked for an extra fork from the other clerk and she gave me attitude like it costs so much and she’s doing me a huge favor. Finally, I noticed they forgot napkins, ugh. I requested them nicely and got the same ugly reaction. NOT SO GREAT YOSHI.

App is horrible!

1: They charge additional 30 cents for ordering through Yoshinoya . It is call “Digital Service Fee”. Press the blue i next to Tax and Fee.
2: Some how I ended up ordering from a location I didn’t intend to pick up, I tried cancelling it using Order Cancel button. It tells me to call the store directly. They told me to call Customer Service number on Yoshinoya . It gets to this app headquarter, but it has been over two weeks and I still haven’t been able to talk to anyone for my refund.

Credit card decline?

If I were to write a review months ago when I started using Yoshinoya, I would’ve given 4 or 5 stars but recently whenever I try to make a purchase, same order, same locations, Yoshinoya tells me my credit card is declined and my payment method not approved. I have no ongoing issues with my bank or my cards. I have to reenter it every time and even still when I tried a different on. This is unacceptable since it takes away the convenience of mobile ordering. Please fix this and I will update my rating.

Ordered something at 6:33pm, app says it will be ready at 6:40pm, so I went to the store to pick it up at 6:40pm. They then told me that they JUST got the order.

I don't know what the workers at the store see, but shouldn't they receive the order sooner? Is that supposed to be a server side issue? Because if that's the case, the ETA on Yoshinoya should at the very least be more honest about it if the store is really busy or the servers ARE that bad.

Otherwise everything else works fine with ordering and even using coupons. But please be more clear on the ETA and if it's the store side, they need to check and adjust ASAP instead of flat out ignoring online orders. We ordered ahead for a reason to skip the lines, not to be part of the line.

1. Payment method doesn't get save even though "save card information" box is checked. Everytime I place an order I need to re-enter my credit card information

2. Bottled drink is the only option and up charge of $0.50. Problem is when you get to this app they ran out of it so you are given fountain drink. So now you are charged extra $0.50 for nothing. Please have an option for fountain drink or bottled drink

Not user friendly

Yoshinoya is not very user friendly. It does not save credit card number so every time you check out you have to enter the credit card over and over again. It will also be good if it uses Apple Pay. Long time customer and still no option to put vegetable on the side. Please include those changes in the following update thank you.

The food is alway great- it’s hot fresh and very tasty. But at the store I usually go to the person taking orders… well we will just say they are not the most nicest people. They seem annoyed and out of sorts not very helpful and short fussed and almost yell at you. I had to repeat my order many many times. I had to ask for ginger 3 times and chopsticks twice.

Before I submitted my order online via this app app, I called the store I ordered from and requested some Ginger and they asked for my name and phone number so when the order goes through, they will add it to my order. Awesome!

Yoshinoya is extremely useful when ordering anything from large bowls to side orders! The employees provide great service and are extremely friendly! I never have an issue with receiving my order and I’m always pleased with this app.

great app but some additions would be neat

The neat works well for both delivery and pickup. But Yoshinoya doesn’t actually have an “I’m Here” button for people who order through Yoshinoya , instead you find the “I’m Here” button through email.

And there should be an option to add Ginger, Chopsticks, Napkins, etc. to your order so that you do not have to wait more from asking the employee to bring you it after bringing the food.

Every employee was very friendly & polite. When I ordered I thought I was
Just getting chicken & rice but they pointed out my options. We kind of took a bit of time & the cashier was also training so we worked with each other. My order was completed quickly. I was amazed at how quickly we were in and out of there.

So I had a problem canceling my order. Long story short I thought I was going to have to wait a day or maybe two to submit a refund. I got a phone number to call from the this app and left a voice mail. To my surprise I got a call back probably within 5 minutes and had everything taken care of. Thank you again to the person that called me back!

I placed an order online and was charged a "DIGITAL SERVICE FEE". This fee was not disclosed at checkout and was grouped with the "Tax". I found out about the 50 cents DIGITAL SERVICE FEE when an order confirmation was sent to my email. This is a DECEPTIVE business practice. It should be disclosed and shown as a FEE at checkout. You lost my business and left a bad taste in my mouth.
