Mislead information about link a card

A friend has sent me a link to Paceline , and the challenge started at the set up… I was not able to do my set up since my email was already in use(not possible at all), so I have to open a ticket to have my usei solved witching 3 days. After that all was good, I like the challenge I manage to close my week and became eligible for my my first reward… I order to do that Paceline states that I should link a card… I was a little resistant but decide to do and that was when I was shocked Paceline didn’t want my card number, it want my account credentials, with my credentials anyone can, change my address, request additional cards, change my password, change my safety call back number, see all my personal information and on my case access my bank account since it is all linked together…I was very frustrated when I found out it was the only option and I also felt misleaded on what is really need to use Paceline … because at the end of the day… giving my credit card number is not that bad anymore.

Love it but not so much the new rewards or the new look

this app recently updated their app, changing the entire look of rewards and the actually rewards themselves. The new look makes it much harder to see what the rewards are and the new rewards are not as great as they used to be. I prefer to choose the rewards that donate money unless they’re offering Starbucks/Dunkin, etc gift cards, but the only donation they’re offering is Black Lives Matter. I am all for supporting black lives but Black Lives Matter is proven to be not a good foundation to donate to to support black lives. They used to have a tree planting foundation and feed America, both of which I loved to donate to, but now they’ve changed it and I miss the other donation choices. Please bring them back.

Unfair

I loved using Paceline and getting rewards for exercising. I used it every week and managed to get a 16 week stream going. Now that I’m pregnant, however, it’s not counting my minutes the same way because I’ve had to modify my workouts and not raise my heart rate as much for as long. I wish there was an option to update my profile and make that modification. I work out four to five times a week for a minimum of 35 minutes. A majority of my workouts do get my heart rate past 130 bpm, but not for an extended amount of time. Most days Paceline only counts my workouts as 20 minutes if I’m lucky—even though my Fitbit recognizes that I achieved the active minutes. It makes it really hard to make it to the 150 minute goal. I’d have to do multiple workouts a day or longer workouts with harder intensity (not recommended for pregnancy) to make it every week.

Great concept, mediocre app

The concept of Paceline is great: encouraging folks to exercise. The rewards are so-so. Paceline itself is not that great. While it’s easy for the user to use, Paceline often kicks your device off and you have to reconnect it many times a week OR it doesn’t even update your minutes despite going through the effort of reconnecting. The syncing feature is faulty and incredibly frustrating. I’ve had several weeks where I missed out on continuing my streak because it didn’t count my minutes. I’ve had Paceline for less than a year and have had to reach out to customer service a couple of times. Their customer service is great but I don’t need to talk to them that frequently. It has the potential to be great but the kinks need to be ironed out.

Love this app!

Paceline rewards people who are regularly active with free products, gift cards, and discounts to companies who offer both unique and familiar products. As someone who works out most days, it is exciting to earn these rewards each week, and when I’m lacking motivation Paceline provides me with the extra push I need to get active and moving. No gimmicks or buy-ins involved either. I have had Paceline for about a year and have already accumulated over $300 worth of free products. Definitely recommend!

Great motivator, great rewards, and outstanding customer service!

I’ve been using Paceline for 9 weeks now and it has been such a great motivator to stay moving during times of social distancing! It pairs seamlessly with my Apple Watch, is very user friendly, and I love the rewards options. I also wanted to mention how great their customer service team is - I was having trouble redeeming a Starbucks reward and they really went above and beyond to help troubleshoot the issue and find a resolution. Highly recommend!!

Randy G

I referred my daughter over a month ago and no referral fee received to date. To boot, I’ve been meeting my exercise goals weekly since I first acquired Paceline 6 weeks ago and have yet to receive any rewards. Appears this has been due to having to manually resync with my Apple Watch continually to update weekly progress towards the 150 minute goal. This should be automatic and transparent once your app is installed - but it’s not. A lot of frustration for nothing.🤯

It’s a shame it doesn’t always work

I go bike riding almost every other day and I always have my Fitbit tracker on a bike workout. My ride is exactly 52 minutes every single day since I take the same path. However, once I get home and sync my Fitbit progress to this app, I often only get 13 -20 minutes. Which does not allow me to reach my weekly goal. This makes no sense to me because my Fitbit was on tracking my workout the whole time and is synced. My motivation is dwindling because Paceline is not accurate and after having Paceline for about two months I’ve only received one reward because of it not being accurate.

Credit Card Required

Downloaded Paceline and liked it up until I realized they force you to provide them with your card info. I’m sure they’ll try to list the reasons why they do it I’ve read them all before. It still isn’t reason enough to require people to give them private information. App users should be provided with a choice. Some rewards make no sense as to why my card is needed. For example receiving discounts or donating to charity:water. I can’t even just donate my rewards without giving them some personal information which is ridiculous and sad. Will be deleting Paceline .

Best Fitness Rewards!

Using this app is super easy. All you have to do it link your device and a card then you’re good to go - takes you maybe 60 seconds! I’m a huge fan of the health and wellness partners in app as well. After 150 min of activity each week I get to pick a cool reward just for being active. Excited to see all of the brands that continue to appear each week. Just have to make sure I keep hitting those this app streaks 🏃🏼‍♂️💨

By

Credit Card info

As I see most of the review I understand that this is a very good app. And i kinda understand why you need the card info but you can also function without the card info. Like some people have trust issues and maybe some teenagers want to use Paceline too but they don’t have credit cards or any cards. And their parents wouldn’t allow them to use theirs. Then there is no way to get any rewards. Please change this so more people can use Paceline because honestly knowing what we like is like barely related to Paceline.

Best health-related app I’ve ever used!!

I’ve never rated an app on Paceline Store, but I needed to hop on to rate this app!! The idea is genius and I love any extra motivation to workout! I wish I had known about Paceline sooner!! The reward options are so fun to try each week and I can’t believe you can earn these amazing rewards just for working out!! This is by far my most enjoyed fitness app on my phone :)

Eye-opening joke

The ideal for credit card is supper excited, however, the credit card issuer is just a joke.
I was approved two weeks ago and then tried to use virtual card in APP to buy iWatch, the transaction was declined. When I received physical card, I called the number to activate the card but found the card was locked. And I was required to send drivers license and phone bill to verify account. One week later, the card was closed by fraud department without any notice and reason.

I found I am not the only case that closed for no reason, more cases were available from DOC. It’s just a waste of time for their product.

LOVE THIS APP

Paceline has helped me become more motivated to workout!! it is completely safe to link your card, and you can choose what reward you want at the end of the week. I just finished my 3 week streak and i’ve only been getting 1$/week instead of 5. I’m not sure if that’s what is supposed to happen, or if i haven’t been doing it long enough to get 5$/week. Either way, I still completely love Paceline and i’m so glad my friend told me about it!

By

Surprised by how much I enjoy this app

I initially downloaded Paceline because of the incentive of making a tiny bit of extra money. But what I didn’t realize is how motivated it would make me. I work all week to hit my weekly goal. I’ve only missed it once! The rewards aren’t like amazing but I am really loving Paceline. Hopefully the added motivation will help me reach my goals!

By

Updating Review

Since the updates it’s hard to see your day to day minutes and now there’s just one general count. Today I ran for 114 minutes then exercise for another 15 minutes. I already had a count of 137 minutes for the week. Yet Paceline kept saying I need 5 more minutes. I am still working out and it’s still stuck at 145. You know the old saying, if it isn’t broke don’t fix it.

By

Never been more motivated to workout

Finally, an app that rewards you for taking care of your body! I’ve used many other reward apps that give you points or cash for making purchases; I’ve never been rewarded for exercising! Keep up the great work and I look forward to new and exciting rewards, although I love Starbucks!

By

Cool idea, but don’t get attached to your streaks

For the most part, I like Paceline . I like getting random awards for being active and doing the things I do anyway. My advice, though, is to not get attached to your streaks because it doesn’t always reliably update. I just lost a multi-week streak yesterday because it didn’t upload a workout I did specifically to push me over 150 minutes for the week.

By

Change in reward quality

I initially really liked Paceline since I workout regularly and it does definitely motivate me on slower weeks. However, when I first downloaded Paceline, they advertised as giving away $10 rewards quarterly if you kept up your streak. Recently they changed Paceline , and I’m now on a 15 week streak and have never seen the $10 rewards. Now most of the rewards are simply coupons which isn’t really appealing to me.

By

Asking for bank info now

And I had to use this app for quite some time and was enjoying it and then I had some health issues where I couldn’t exercise for a time. I guess during this period of time they have changed asking for a card to asking for your bank account login info so they can access everything. No way. I had really enjoyed Paceline before but I am not sharing all of my banking information.
That seems a little sketchy to me. Things have gone too far. Looks like they’ve dropped me until they get that information.

Rewards for living healthy?!

I am in love! I’m bummed that they changed it from a weekly $5 reward, but glad that the rewards are still there. Paceline is so easy to use and automatic at tracks my workouts. I can’t wait for them to pair with other fitness trackers so I can share with more of my friends.

They should add some bonuses for sharing!

By

Love it!

Just finished my first week and redeemed my Starbucks gift card! It was very easy to add the card to my existing Starbucks app. I had some trouble signing up and had to contact this app customer service. They quickly got back to me within a few hours! Paceline is a great incentive to help form the habit of working out.

By

Super fun, literally rewarding and user-friendly

I love Paceline and check it everyday! Motivates me to workout and I’m literally rewarded outside of the working out for doing my body some good. Really easy to setup, so fun and a user-friendly interface. Loving the new rewards that have been rolled out!! Highly recommend. 💪🏼

By

Easy to use, great rewards!

Super easy to use and connects seamlessly to watch to verify minutes. Card linked is never charged, only used to verify account is an actual person and explore interests to offer better rewards. Free Starbucks for working out as I would anyway?! Sold. Thanks!

By

Best App around

Seriously can it get any better. Get rewarded for working out which is what I do everyday. Only thing that would make this experience better is maybe a way to interact with other users and have show off your workouts in Paceline .

By

Something that truly keeps me healthier

Getting real rewards to encourage me to work out has never been this cool. I found myself doing that extra working on Sunday afternoon to get that reward each week and claiming and using my rewards is seamless!

By

Rewards for working out!

Love Paceline! I’m on week 11 streak, so that’s $55 in Starbucks rewards! It’s like getting paid for doing my workouts, and those weeks that I’m lagging, I have motivation to get to the 150 minutes and earn that reward. Thanks this app!

By

Love this app!

I work out regularly, but why not get rewarded for it?! Also, it adds additional accountability for me to get my workouts in so I can hit the minute goal for the week! Highly recommend!

By

Amazing Experience

What an app! I have never been more excited or motivated to exercise to be honest :) The onboarding experience was super smooth and I’m off and running to get my Starbucks rewards. I already cashed in my first one!!!

By

Get Rewarded for Working Out!

I love Paceline. I always struggle with consistently working out due to work or life in general. Paceline helps me stay focused, motivated and consistently working out... I mean you get free rewards with cool brands just for working out!

By

Yes - rewards for my workout!

Free rewards for working out. It’s a no brainer. Easy to use and always gets me over that last excuse in the morning. Motivation and rewards - it’s a double win.

By

Real motivation for staying consistent on a sustainable basis

While most of the fitness trackers push you to meet daily goals that become a grind and ultimately unsustainable. this app-QA approach rewards long term consistency and real behaviour change!

By

Tangible rewards!

I love that Paceline keeps me consistent with my workouts with a treat at the end of each week. It sounds too good to be true, but it’s really just that easy. Such a cool concept! Thanks this app!

Gym, Rewards, Coffee

Do you love working out and getting rewards? If you said yes to both then this is Paceline for you. Easy set up and clean interface. Gym, rewards, coffee might be the new GTL!!

Disappointed in this new version of the app. The old version had better choices like Amazon or Target gift cards. Really a shame that they changed a great app!

Amy Shuping   1 year ago

I’ve been using the Paceline App for a long while. The rewards are not as good as they used to be. It’s mainly a percentage off of a purchase or you have to upgrade your membership to receive some of the rewards. I always used the Starbucks $5 off and the $1 Amazon but our family is having issues with adding the Amazon cards to our account and we never see the Starbucks reward anymore. Paceline needs to step up!

Sarah McPeek   1 year ago

Why did the $1 Amazon choice go away? All the other choices are not appealing and would just be impulse purchases of something I don’t need. If I’m going to impulse buy, I would rather do it on Amazon or Target!

Gayle S   1 year ago

Has anyone gone on the app today? It looks like they have taken away the $1 Amazon gift cards and now the only way you can get "free" gift cards is if you sign up for their credit card and then you will get a $10 Lululemon or Whole Foods gift card after a 4 weak streak. I am going to see if they still offer the $5 Starbucks or Target gift cards after my next 4 week streak. I'm bummed. I have a 68 week streak running...

Had to reciter the Fitbit almost daily for Paceline to sink my workouts. Yesterday that stopped working and it doesn’t sink no matter what I do. Even deleted the app and reinstalled doesn’t work.

I will never buy anymore Apple products. Because you support a hate group. Called burn loot and murder . They hate America and God and and law and order

Jenny   2 years ago

Why do you support a hate group? Called Black Lives Matter? All lives Matter including the cops and unborn babies. BLM stands for burn 🔥 loot murder

Devon Eastlack   3 years ago

It is not letting me connect my debit card to the app and I am sure that my password and user ID is correct because I just reset them.
