Amazing!

HIITDownDog is simply amazing. It exceeded my expectations. I use it as a substitute to my gym classes due to COVID-19 pandemic and quarantining. I always feel so good after I finish a workout. The simulated workouts are comparable to a personal trainer but also gives the feel of a group workout because I do it with my husband! We are able to get in our workouts before the three children awake. I love the pop music (you have a choice of genre) and the fresh routines. I also appreciate the flexibility of HIITDownDog to be able to customize my workout intervals, recovery time, dynamic (is circuit rotation v. Isolated muscles), duration, level, etc. Lastly, HIITDownDog company believes in social responsibility and altruism. They were kind enough to give this quality app for free during quarantine and discounted for students. I have shared this all with so many friends. Despite my skeptical of simulated workouts, this one instantly made me a believer. Thank you to HIITDownDog developers! HIITDownDog has contributed to my wellness and sanity. I highly recommend.

Great app - even for New Mamas!

I have 2 kids under 2 and HIITDownDog is awesome. I first love how customizable it is. I can target what I want to work on (full body, core, arms, legs, etc), choose which voice to coach me (Carlos FTW), you can even choose how much you want that “voice” to coach you (I choose the full amount because I like the encouragement and exercise explanations), and best of all you can decide how long of a workout you want to do (minimum 8 min, max 90 min)
I’ve been able to do 15 min almost everyday for two weeks now. Even with my two kids!!
It feels so good to get moving and HIITDownDog is so user friendly and better than any other app I’ve used. I’m still in the free trial, which is a really long free trial so I feel like I can really test it out for my lifestyle! I will definitely be purchasing a subscription once my trial ends!!

Love this app

I love HIITDownDog! I’ve been paying for the membership for over a year and have access to all their apps. The HIIT and down dog apps are my favorite. I don’t feel like I’m doing the same pattern of exercises everyday, I love the customization, and they have so much variety.

My only cons would be that the option to cast the exercise isn’t on the starting page. The only issue I have with that is sometimes HIITDownDog crashes when I pause the workout to cast it on my tv. Then it won’t load and I have to exit out of HIITDownDog and redo everything again.

I’ve been addicted to the circuit option on the HIIT app and it’s so amazing. Just mostly the transition between exercises could be better. Just have more of a flow so I’m not scrambling around to get into the next position and miss out on some reps.

The BEST Yoga & HITT Apps

If you’re like me and stopped going to the gym when COVID hit, finding these in home work out apps seriously saved me. The yoga app is my absolute favorite but I’m starting to use the HIIT app as well and I’m going to check out the Barre app. All of their apps are included in the subscription!!!! By far the best bang for your Buck out there and I HATE paying for subscriptions but this one is 1000% worth it.
They show you how to do the poses and guide you through the workout as you’re going. It is fairly different every time but there is some repetition in some of the yoga poses but it’s still entertaining and not boring like going to the gym is for me. You also don’t need equipment except for maybe a yoga mat but that’s it!
I definitely recommend these to anyone! Beginners or advanced!

Total game changer

This is wonderful for any person who is busy and it’s been a pandemic workout game changer. I’ve been struggling to find a simple ap with different workout lengths that don’t need lots of space or equipment. This one has changed everything. You can select how many minutes you have for a workout that fits into any schedule. The exercises and order change every time, so it isn’t boring. And the workouts are great! I work full time and have two kids distance learning and this is the only program I’ve found that lets me pick how much time I have what I want to do. It has been a total game changer. And it’s way less expensive than aps that aren’t half as easy to use.

Failure - maybe check your own server

Giving one star. Over and over again saying connection issue “check WiFi”. Using both cellular and WiFi stating check connection. Maybe check your own server and stop blaming the user. Restarted phone, deleted app, reinstalled app, signed in and then went to do a workout. Got 7 minutes into workout and it froze. Then forced me to quit to main screen. Tried starting a new workout and it blamed my connection. Will try again tomorrow and if this is fixed I will give a better rating. Pretty disappointed. All my other apps and phone functions are working just fine on either WiFi or cellular and HIITDownDog fails ever time.

One of the best apps made by down dog !!

So I’m someone who isn’t athletic at all . I would always try to download an app that could help me workout , but most of them would only provide me with an illustration and a voice coming from a machine . HIITDownDog makes me feel like I’m actually working out with the instructor , their voice is soothing , they make sure to provide you with up to date quality music that keeps you up beat . And you get to personalize exactly what you want your workout to target .... also . THEY ARE SO CARING !!! Due to COVID-19 most gyms and places got closed . And for that solemn reason fo caring about their clients they decided to make it free so people could continue and stay in shape . All apps made by down dog and worth a try .

after 10 years of never working out, this changed everything

I haven't entered a gym since my college forced me to for a PE credit in 2010. over a decade with no workouts. then I came across Yoga Buddhi's 7 minute workout app, their yoga app, and their HIIT apps. these literally got me through the hellscape of 2020 and made it so easy and enjoyable to engage in physical movement that I can't imagine what life would be without them.

everything is fully customizable so I could take the smallest of baby steps at first and gradually increase difficulty.

I haven't been this flexible or agile.....literally ever. my childhood self would be envious that I can actually touch my toes and do backbends now.

BEST WORKOUT APP EVER

Download HIITDownDog right now, it is perfect. You select you current strength for your upper, lower, and core and HIITDownDog tailors the difficulty to your level! They also have a variety of voices with different amounts of coaching so it is perfect for anyone who is just starting their workout journey or is a seasoned veteran. Also, they do an amazing offer to all students for a free membership until June 1st! HIITDownDog is amazing, and the developers put a lot of effort into making this an easy platform to navigate with challenging workouts for everyone. Download it now, it is the now the only workout app on my phone (besides their yoga and other apps ofc).

Good app but need some improvements

I found HIITDownDog during social distancing just by chance. Good thing was that the developer is providing it for free for extended period of time.

I would say that it’s a great app to start. The platform is good , the features are good and customizable.

Few things that bug me are:
1) there’s no warm up. HIITDownDog takes you directly to intense exercises.
2) the instructor seems like a preprogrammed bot. There’s no emotion on his face nor any empathy. I would like it to be with a gym instructor with some human touch.
3) need more guidance that can give specific instructions to the user. Like engage core. Lower your upper body on exhale etc.
4) there’s no cool down option. The guy just walks off at the end of the class.
5) if my work out is interrupted by a phone call, the whole sequence is reset and have to fast forward the video to bring it back to the point where it was prior to the interruption caused by the phone call. This is annoying.
6) There is no Apple TV casting support which is frustrating.

Please add these features and I would be willing to pay for HIITDownDog forever.

Perfect for cardio days!

Now that most of us are working out from home—this is the perfect app for pairing other workouts or exercising in between commercials while bingeing Love Island. ;)

I use HIITDownDog for my row days. 30 minutes of rowing and 15-25 minutes of straight core work after! What makes this application so easy to use is that you can time your workouts, focus on specific areas and gauge your workouts by the level you are at. Which makes this a little more fluid than Nike Trainer Club (which I have been a user for over 3 years) I’m definitely more inclined to use HIITDownDog now during my row days instead of NTC. Great job, no flaws! ✨

Beyond worth it

I never review apps but I just wanted to let anyone know who is trying to sus out wether the subscription is worth it, it completely is.
I was never really into exercise but I got down dog over quarantine to have longer yoga practices and I recently tried out HIIT because it’s not like I’m doing much other than sitting around my house these days.
Not only is it super customizable, but it gives anyone who is feeling a little iffy about starting a more intensive workout routine the space to confidently grow. I just do a 30 minute routine to start out my day and it’s worked wonders, honestly.

Pretttyyy awesome

I’ve never written an app review but this one deserves it. Like many in quarantine, I’ve been looking for a way to keep moving. I am not a solo workerer-outer. I NEED a class, structure, someone to tell me what to do- the whole deal. HIITDownDog does just that and as if it couldn’t get better it has the added time flexibility. You pick what you want and poof- a fancy algorithm creates an awesome, sweaty workout for you. The workouts are in a great format with all different movements so you never get bored with doing the same thing over and over. HIITDownDog is AWESOME and will keep doing it after quarantine to save some monies!!!

The only workout app I ever used

HIITDownDog literally replaced working out at a studio or gym. I absolutely love that you can tailor each workout to what specific muscle groups you want to target. I have a six pack because of HIITDownDog. It challenges me and I only have to take less than a half hour out of my day to feel the effects. As someone who does acrobatics for a living, HIITDownDog made cross training so easy that I wouldn’t pay for another class at the gym again. I’ve been using these apps starting with the downdog yoga app for about 3 plus years. I LOVE HIITDownDog!!

Good HIIT App

I’m a huge fan of the yoga app and decided to give this one a try. I’m going to be honest and say that I prefer the yoga app. This one has good workouts (doesn’t repeat the same thing over & over) but I’m not really a fan of the music list and I really wish some exercises would have a small explanation how to do them correctly. I spent part of my workout watching the instructor and trying to figure out if I’m doing it right. Also as I mentioned above, I wish there was more of a music variety or maybe I could choose to play my own music? Just a suggestion.
**Overall 3.5 stars for now. (Hopefully I can change it to 5 later on)

Super great app and customer support!!!

This is an app I’m willing to stick to. Not gonna talk too much about how it’s designed well and everything, but one thing I am super impressed about is when I emailed about how I couldn’t pay for a membership right now because I’m a broke college kid, they emailed right back within 2 days and gave me a free 6 month membership. The one thing I am writing this review for though, is the fact that I am trying to count calories right now and if they could add a function where it counts the calories spent doing the workout that would be AMAZING.

Excellent HIIT app!

I have been a fan of this brands Down Dog Yoga app for a couple years already, so when they announced HIITDownDog, I was excited to give it a try. I was not disappointed at all! This is an amazing HIIT app that already has a lot of features built in like interval and rest time, body part focuses. I loved it, and it kept my heart rate high even on the first level (without burpees). I can’t wait to try the next level up. Give HIITDownDog a try. Really easy to follow. They show each exercise before the interval starts. I would however recommend they add a warm up times option. It jumps right into the intervals.

The best workout at home you can get

I love the Down Dog suite of apps! For an extremely affordable price you can use all the apps to fulfill all your workout needs from cardio to strength training to yoga and meditation. I’m so happy I found these. I love how customizable they are so you can have endless variety, they are fit for any fitness level, and you can increase the difficulty as you improve. Right down to the voice of the instructor and the background music you can workout exactly the way you want right at home with no bulky equipment needed. A+

Love the app!

I love HIITDownDog! I’m an avid gym-goer but given all that’s going on in the world at the moment all gyms are closed. I’m a terrible at home exerciser! At least until HIITDownDog. It keeps me moving. The workouts are customizable and can be as quick as I need them to be. One tiny adjustment I’d love to see is if the instructor could give more info on each move, such as how to setup for the move, what muscle we’re working, etc. and if they could provide cues throughout each move, such as “focus on pulling in at your core” and things like that. It’s a helpful reminder for me to stay focused on what I’m doing especially since I’m doing this at home and I’m faced with lots of distractions.

Flexible but thin

Lots of flexibility in terms of level/timing/music—you name it, there’s a lever to dial. But be warned: there is virtually no instruction within the exercises themselves. You just have to watch the demo and then do it. The narrator doesn’t really even say which muscles the move is targeting, let alone any advice about how not to do it. I’m afraid the risk of injury is pretty high if you are not familiar with how to do these exercises properly. Many if not most of them were either new to me, or new variations. I was pretty disappointed in that aspect. Production values high on both the video and app features, just missed the mark on instruction. I’ll keep trying it out… until I injure myself.

I can’t believe how great this app is

I have been use DOWNDOG for yoga for years, and tried out this program today. It’s as user friendly and honestly just as good as the HIIT gym work out that I pay a lot of money for outside of home. Great moves, intervals change quick enough that I don’t have to start complaining about how much I hate the move and the music is excellent. The only thing I wish it had was a bell between exercises so I don’t have to keep turning my head to check the screen. There may actually be an option which is why I didn’t rate it lower.

Awesome app

So happy down dog released a new HIIT app. Takes all the good things from the previous app and applies them here.

Thoughtful touches like the music doesn’t stop with your workout in case you’d like to continue. A list of songs played during your workout. Easy adjusting the volume between the voice and music for the best of both worlds. Plus the fire playlists.

I found it difficult on even level 1. Excited to see what the next levels have in store!

Another Great Yoga Buddhi App

Perfect evening counterpart to my morning Down Dog Yoga. It turns out my barrier to working out is leaving my house and embarassing myself in front of others. Using these apps, I discovered that I, too, can be a healthy person who exercises daily! The variety of settings and well-designed algorithms means that workouts are always fresh and challenging. Just give it a fair shot, and I bet you’ll find that this can be a great addition to your routine.

Another Down Dog great!

I am loving all these fantastic apps from Down Dog. I’ve been a fan over their yoga app for a long time and I’m excited about this HIIT app and their other new exercise apps (7 min workout and Barre - go check them out!) I really like the ability to change things up so I don’t get bored and the ability to work out at home, on my own schedule - no need to attend and pay for classes or gym membership. Thanks Down Dog!

OMG

Just finished my first 20 minute workout. I thought I was in pretty good shape, I run, lift weights, and do yoga (with the Down Dog yoga app!). All I can say is holy cr*p! That was the easier setting and it was a great short workout! I recommend HIITDownDog designers add a section to review all the exercises as I was a little behind on a couple of the more dynamic, multi-movement exercises. But a great start to what I’m sure is going to be a kickass workout app!

By

My favorite workout app

I never write app reviews but I had to for HIITDownDog. I travel a lot for work (3-4 days/wk) and have found it really hard to work out. HIITDownDog makes it so easy because you don’t need any equipment and can easily get a great workout in a hotel room. Even if I only have 5 minutes before bed, I’ll do a quick ab workout.

By

Great quick workout!

I don’t have much time during the day. I definitely don’t have time to go to an in-person class during the day and my sleep is too precious to me to get up early to go to the gym. HIITDownDog (all the Down Dog apps really) make it easy!! They are quick, work all muscle groups, and efficient! I highly recommend!!!

By

Love this company

Love the apps they provide. Definitely worth the money. Easier for me to workout at home and HIITDownDog provides me the motivation to keep pushing! I like the new feature of setting levels according to the places on your body. (Upper vs lower) in the future it would be cool if that could be even more specific

By

So grateful!

I was feeling so down and unbalanced trying to juggle being a mom and working and the guilt of not utilizing my gym membership and the wasted money coupled with not taking care of myself .i use a combo of all the “dog” apps and I feel amazing. They are fabulous and I now feel centered, healthy , and confident. I can’t say thank you enough!

By

Best customizable HIIT app out there

I’ve been a Down Dog yoga app user for several years and was so so so pumped to see they released a HIIT app. I have a really busy, inconsistent schedule and Down Dog makes it easy to customize a workout based on how much time and energy I have. The format is easy to follow as well. Can’t rave enough about it.

By

Great exercises

HIITDownDog offers a really good workout for free. Thank you Down Dog! It has a good balance of exercise types and I appreciate the different levels to choose from since I have knee issues at times I can choose level 2 that offers a challenge with limited jumping.

By

Great HIIT app

I’ve used Down Dog’s yoga app for years, and this one is just as great. As someone who doesn’t exercise as much as I should, I love that the Level 1 is easy enough to do for the entire intervals and hard enough that I’m getting a real workout. Most apps, classes, etc. have trouble hitting that balance.

By

Great app

I will say, the barre and HIT apps aren't QUITE as good as the yoga app, YET. You’re limited in what you can personalize, and I’ve noticed a couple glitches. But overall they’re awesome for at home and I love having all these options for great workouts and I’ve been switching between them everyday.

By

Hooked After 1 Session

I have been looking for a high intensity program for ages. I’m a runner who keeps injuring herself, so I figured it was time to try something new. This is it. Yoga is great but never gave me the heart-rushing adrenaline I love running for. This did. Cannot wait to incorporate more of Down Dog’s HIIT into my week!

By

5 day in

So far it’s great! I like how I can adjust my upper body and lower body to different levels as well as rest time and duration of the total work out. I think this is a great app for people who want to sweat and only have a limited time to do so.
