Won’t send me a temporary password. What is the point of joining an expensive fitness club when I can’t see schedules on MountainsideFitnessApp so I can schedule my day accordingly?

MountainsideFitnessApp doesn’t send you verification emails when you “forgot password”. So I literally cannot use MountainsideFitnessApp. I even had the guy at the gym change my password on his end but apparently it didn’t work. I also messaged their tech support and I have yet to receive a response. Total trash. The only reason why I need MountainsideFitnessApp is to sign up for classes I guess? So hopefully someone at the gym tomorrow will be able to advise me on a different way to sign up. What a joke. Not even worth the one star I have to put.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I can’t even sign in because I never received an email. I thought it was my email, so I tried 3 more different emails. It just says “Error occurred, please try again after *some* time”. Some time? How much time? Then the classes are not available online anymore and if you call, the customer service says “download MountainsideFitnessApp !” Definitely giving me a reason to cancel my membership and find a gym with an actual working app.

MountainsideFitnessApp is an exercise in insanity. I try to log-in, it says it must send a verification email with a temporary password; I never receive the email. I try opting for the forgotten password and again, though it says an email has been sent, I never receive it.

I inquired at my club and the member services person could not remedy or identify the issue.

I was encouraged upon joining Mountainside to download MountainsideFitnessApp to benefit from all the amazing features. Nice in theory, but so far useless.

I’m a manager at a Club Pilates studio in the valley and we just had an app upgrade as well that has blown away the old app entirely. The only reason I have a mountainside membership is for the classes. With this new app I no longer have the map option to navigate between the studios with ease to schedule classes at locations that work for me. The “fitness consult” and “workout assistance” is the same thing. And the “#hastag” is a slideshow of Instagram posts, total waste of space. I’m cancelling my membership anyway due to the availability of classes that I prefer, like why have a huge morning gap between the 5am classes and 8am? Going with Class Pass.

Soo frustrating when trying for a class that fills up

MountainsideFitnessApp has a lot of problems and it’s a pain to find MountainsideFitnessApp every single time, open it up, wait for it to open, then click barcode, then scan. When I used to drive near the YMCA, MountainsideFitnessApp would prompt me and Apple wallet to pull up my card and with one touch my barcode was on the screen. I saw a response from the developer saying that because they’re showing more information on the barcode screen so they no longer support Apple wallet. That’s the weakest excuse for a bug I've heard of. Users don't like it, but you're trying to pass it off as a 'feature'?

Also, in the profile section you ask for somebody’s "Nick Name". "Nickname" is one word.

The main reason I got MountainsideFitnessApp was to sign in at the front desk. Unfortunately, that isn’t working. They’ve tried assigning me 3 different barcodes, verified the numbers in MountainsideFitnessApp match the system each time, but for some reason, the barcode generated by MountainsideFitnessApp fails to check me in every day. I finally just took a picture of my keychain barcode and that works 100% of the time, so I’ll probably just delete MountainsideFitnessApp at this point.

Hopefully they keep working on MountainsideFitnessApp. It looks good but needs a lot of work to actually be functional instead of a pain to deal with. I can't imagine how bad it was before if this is the vastly improved version. Frustrating to use.

My only use for MountainsideFitnessApp is to get the barcode integrated into my Apple Wallet. That functionally has been broken for some time and really needs to be fixed!

It’s be cool to add the gym pass to apple wallet

I use MountainsideFitnessApp for check ins and that’s about it, but the club hours (even my home club) take about 4 taps and scrolling to track down. Would be nice to have an icon on my clubs home screen for that, and the mkids hours too.

Could we get a apple wallet passcode ? My eos and lifetime barcodes pull up with my apple wallet. Itd be a nice feature so we dont have to go in MountainsideFitnessApp to check in at the gym

Just yesterday I wrote a review on how terrible MountainsideFitnessApp was, and so in hopes that there would be a new update, I deleted the Mountainside Fitness app, and re-downloaded from MountainsideFitnessApp store.

I’m sure glad I did. Huge difference! So far so good. Loving the new update. Keep up the great work.

Clean facilities throughout all four locations I use. Good equipment and great fitness/zumba instructors. Highly recommend!

I wish you had them in Texas since I spend half of my time in Houston

I’ve worked out in Gyms for 30 years. All over the US and in Canada. Mountainside fitness has the best equipment, best staff, best prices, of any gym I have ever worked out in.

The gym is top tier with amazing staff and great work out environment that promotes everyone to pursue their fitness goals. It feels like my second home here honestly. I recomes mountainside to everyone I know.

Never used a gym app before and I honesty love MountainsideFitnessApp. I had a couple questions at the beginning but the managers at Arrowhead helped me out and it works amazing!!!!!

Love the club, the people and the instructors. MS is my go to place for unwinding and staying in good health.

Please bring back the old app! Accessing my account was the biggest headache. Interface looks amateur and clunky. The old app suited all of my needs perfectly. My phone is my car key so I have nowhere to put the physical barcode tag! Not being able to check in easily on my phone is reason enough to cancel my membership here

I do not like this upgrade at all. it is slow to load every page. I can’t easily switch clubs when searching group class schedules - i have to go to settings, change my home club and then go back and search for a class. It is not easy to navigate and looks dated.

Zero stars should be an option. I was so excited to see there was a new app since the old one had some issues. This is SO MUCH WORSE. Barcode doesn’t work, the layout and even the asthetics are offputting. It looks like high schoolers were delegated this for a project or something. The clubs are amazing but MountainsideFitnessApp is just terrible.

Anybody that gives us anything more than one star is full of crap! I have been trying for two hours to sign onto this stupid thing. It doesn’t work it’s obvious that it doesn’t work for anyone else either. So anybody who is giving us any more than one star either work for the company or is lying.

Unresponsive, hate the layout. Looks like an armature designed it. I get that they might have gotten sold on additional features with their new app but if I wanted to track my meals and my daily workouts I can go to other apps for that who do it better. Bring back the previous version please

I know the old app needed a bit of work, and a more modern facelift, but MountainsideFitnessApp is awful. I wouldn’t even call this an MVP release. It has no features at all. As a PM, I’d have at least reproduced most of what was already available before taking the old app away.
My barcode ID is stored, but not visible until I take a picture of the actual tag. Why not convert the ID into a barcode for me? Where are my checkins? I’m so bummed that you took away the old app and now I’m stuck with this.

Got the email from Mountainside to get the new app. The email's first bullet point is that MountainsideFitnessApp will allow "Check-in with your phone." I see nothing in MountainsideFitnessApp labeled as a check in. There is an icon called "Barcode" so I tried that. Got an error saying it's missing the barcode. MountainsideFitnessApp tells me I have to enter my barcode into my profile. So I go to my profile and my barcode number is already in there. Very frustrating!

This is about the fourth “new app” in four years. Terrible. Even the introductory email of how to log-in was wrong. When MountainsideFitnessApp is downloaded - click on “barcode” and it says “go to profile and enter the barcode info”. Uh...what? Embarrassing. This is why I have gone back to the old school “key tag” checkin. Love my club. Hate their app. 🤦‍♀️

The signup email for MountainsideFitnessApp didn’t work, had to manually download it. My club is missing from the locations and frankly MountainsideFitnessApp is a sloppy mess. Too much data smashed into the interface and it’s messy, not intuitive at all.
