I don’t recommend

I’ve been using this app for probably about 2 - 3 years now. I use to use it just occasionally on days where I didn’t go to an in person reformer Pilates class and noticed it was easy, but assumed I was probably choosing the wrong workouts well… I decided a couple months ago to upgrade all of my workout equipment to bala and was really excited to do more at home workouts with my new set up. I have gone through sooooo many videos and they are all so short I think they may be just getting shorter and shorter. They are also extremely easy and no matter how much I double the weight I can’t seem to feel much of a burn. The length is also very frustrating because I’ll sometimes have to put on 3 - 4 different videos to have a decent duration. I understand not everyone has a ton of time, but there just aren’t any options for if you do without having to go through rest and start a new one. Also the platform change has been awful. The new classes just don’t flow right besides feeling rushed it all feels random. I actually recently found a new platform that offers pilates classes that truly are challenging and also has many great longer ones so for that I’m thankful, but I’m so upset I did the annual this app membership. Needless to say I won’t be renewing ever again.

Miss the old platform

I’ve been a loyal this app member for 3 years. I used it every single day until the new launch. The old platform was more simplistic yet it far exceeded my expectations in the value I received. I recommended it to nearly everyone in my life! While I completely understand and appreciate the effort to improve the platform and content, I feel the content has completely changed and I now it see significantly has gone in a different direction that no longer serves me. MWH is no longer intuitive for me to use and the product issues and experience is no longer enjoyable to navigate. The introduction and focus on dance flows and new instructors feels random to me, and this app is no longer a part of my daily routine. I will likely not renew my annual subscription and have moved on to implementing other Pilates apps and classes that feel more aligned to original this app content/app experience. I will always be grateful for Melissa for introducing Pilates into my life but as a loyal customer I feel disappointed that the needs and wants of long-time users did not seem to play a part in the strategy of the new platform and where this app is going. I would highly suggest the this app team to implement surveys and do true customer research when it comes to the product roadmap and growth strategy of the platform in the future to prevent further churn of long-time users.

Ok, I love Melissa’s style of workouts and I feel like they should be effective because most of the time I do feel the burn. Like today, my arms are super sore from yesterday. But I don’t seem to be getting very good results, and I’ve been doing her workouts consistently for at least 20 minutes a day for a year now. I will admit I haven’t lost any weight yet my stomach seems to be a lot flatter than before I started doing her workouts, however I haven’t seen as much muscle definition as I want. I have a little bit of ab definition but you can barely see it, and my arms, legs, and booty don’t seem to have really toned even though I do booty and arm workouts almost everyday. I’m just not seeing the long lean muscle tone Melissa advertises. I don’t know if this is the workout’s fault, or it’s because I need to lose weight in order to see definition and muscle tone. I’m 5’7 and 155 lbs, but I don’t feel fat and feel like I look smaller than I am. Someone have any suggestions? If I don’t get a reply I may quit MWH , much as I love her workouts, because I’m just not seeing much results.

This past year and 5 months has been so profound. I was always a gym person who spent a minimum of an hour and 45 minutes, 6 days a week killing my self. When Covid arrived, Equinox closed down, and I had to find an alternative to my daily routine. Afraid that I would never find a replacement to my gym and certainly not ever thinking I could follow a program through an app, I, unexpectedly, but happily so, discovered this app and have never turned back. She has been my guiding light through it all. Not only do I feel great physically; strong, lean and healthy, my mind feels the same way too!! Her flows, whether short, long, with weights or not , along with her amazing meditations, have truly kept me focused on what really does matter. I turned my sister, who lives across the country in Boulder Colorado, and who I have not seen in over a year and a half, on to this app. I miss her so much but through our connection of this app, we schedule 2 week flows and follow our practice together, challenging ourselves, each other and keeping us connected close encouraging each other from afar. As women who have significant careers, who are Mother’s, Wives and everything else, this app keeps us grounded, balanced and most importantly, grateful every single day. MWH a trusted and reliable workout

this app leaves me feeling strong both mentally and physically. She offers a daily plan that I can follow without any prep work. I just need my mat and some optional weights to complete the workout anywhere. Even when on vacation, I look forward to this app’s water series or treadmill series. She offers everything from 1 hour full body sweat sessions to chill 5 minute meditations, meeting me wherever I am at that day. this app gives me the flexibility I need to maintain my commitment and build confidence and strength. I am also saving hundreds of dollars monthly compared to in person pilates or yoga studios. I recently joined an in person gym with a focus on weight training, and I did not like how my muscles felt strained and torn after the workouts. I found myself doing this app at the expensive gym, so I cancelled the gym membership. With this app, I feel the burn the next day without fear of hurting myself long term. I love everything about this platform and would be lost without it.

I have been an avid yogi and pure barre enthusiast for years but during the pandemic I was forced (like everyone else) to find a home alternative. Paying to stream classes was getting expensive but I didn’t want to lose out on the toning of these routines. Enter: Melissa Wood! I found out about Melissa via Sabina Gadecki Rich on Instagram and I am SO happy I found her. The on demand classes at any length that fit my schedule are every bit as challenging as the classes I was taking but now I can squeeze them into my schedule at home. On days I’m tired, her meditations or 10-15 minute flows let me feel like I’ve done something for me and the results are impressive. Melissa is always so body positive and I truly feel a shift in my mood as well as my physical toning after even a short session. I also love that I can take it with me on the road when I travel so I don’t have to sacrifice my workouts AND I can target specific areas! So SO happy I found this!

Melissa’s Workouts Really Work

I switched to Melissa Wood Health after trying literally everything - I won’t name names, but I tried all the others and even hired an expensive personal trainer. But this is the only workout method where I see results, inside and out. It’s hard to believe because the flows can be short and feel so good it’s deceptive. I thought you had to hate working out, sweat like crazy and feel like crap afterwards in order to look good. Since trying MWH and following the weekly workouts religiously, I look better, my clothes fit better and most importantly my body feels strong, lean and energized. I never have a problem taking a little time out of my day to do this. Also, I should mention that I’m 50 and my body has been a challenge to get into shape this year. There is something about these flows that move everything in the right way - I swear this is more effective than any other method out there. Just let go and let it work!

BEST APP EVER!!! The long lean lines and stop traffic figure you never knew you wanted and/or NEEDED

MUST ADD to your workout list ASAP!!! I’ve turned a dozen+ (and counting) of my friends onto her flows because they‘ve all been so intrigued by the results they’ve seen in me not just physically, but mentally and spiritually as well.

When it comes to workout classes and/or fitness studios, I’ve done and tried them ALL. And yet I’m here to tell you that no class and/or workout studio comes even close in comparison to the results I’ve seen from doing this app weekly workouts and low impact flows on the daily before bed every night.

I’ve always been a huge cardio junkie and typically run anywhere between 5-7 miles daily. Now I am confident listening to what my body needs, and I wholesome and safe the skin I’m in; this safe space I call home. At the end of the day, I am at peace knowing that it is OK to halt my pace at mile 2 or 3 and call it quits so I can meet myself and this app on the mat before I lay my head to sleep.

LIFE CHANGING MWH METHOD

MWH/workout/lifestyle method is everything!!!!!!i choose to include lifestyle in there because the this app method goes beyond just her filmed workout videos (of which there are hundreds on MWH , organized categorically and searchable!!!!!) - she also has guided meditation videos which she leads you through meditations ranging from 5-20 minutes. She also shares recipes and nutrition tips. This woman/app has honestly single-handedly changed my life and my perspective on it. I am 24 y/o and discovered Melissa through a friend at the beginning of quarantine, this is not sponsored or affiliated in any way, I just honestly am so obsessed and feel blessed to have found this workout style that meshes so well with my body, mind, soul, and benefits me in ways i had never ever felt in any workout practice prior. If you’re willing to commit to put the effort in to get the ball rolling I promise you will never look back, and with consistency you will have never felt better, inside and out. Thank you Melissa

TRANSFORMATIVE

I have been doing Melissa Wood Health workouts for about 2 years now. Her workouts are absolutely transformative for both the mind and body. For one, she starts her practice with breath work while helping you set intention for your day. Her workouts themselves are incredibly challenging in the most unique way. They are unlike any other workouts I have ever tried because they target long lean muscles through gentle movements. I never feel like I am adding intense stress to my body which makes these workouts accessible for every day use. In the beginning, some of the movements were challenging and I felt a bit discouraged. This is mostly due to the fact that conventional workouts don’t always target these long lean muscles. I stayed determined and through her breath work (which she manages to talk you through while she works out) helped me so much. I was able to push my body to limits I never though were possible. I now, thanks to these workouts, implement this thinking in everything I do. I truly never looked or felt better and am so thankful for Melissa!

Awesome Workouts

Love the simplicity and challenge of these workouts. Leaves me thinking...”Wow that was great! I want to do another.” Also have been following her morning juice and smoothie routine and replaced morning coffee with it. My SKIN!!! after just a week! Smoother and more hydrated cause duh!! I’m drinking way more water and getting more nutrients. My coworker, having no idea of my new habits, said I was glowing! WTH!! Literally crave all these things now. I find myself going to my phone not to surf and check out but opening her app and doing a flow routine. Game changer Y’all! Working out has always been something I had to “make” myself do. Now my body asks for this like a hungry little toddler. I never looked forward to waking up early to work out..now I wake up looking forward to it. (Single mom of 2 crazy boys and Teacher). To build a new habit research says you have to put it on autopilot. I just tell myself Whatever is scheduled for that day is what I’ll do. Then it eliminates the scrolling and “work” of having to choose what to do. Then if I do an extra two that day I pick from my favorites.

I’m not usually one to leave reviews of things, but I have to say how happy I am with MWH. After the free week trial, I will *absolutely* continue to the paid version. I love the weekly schedule with a daily one movement video (20ish minutes long) and the substantial meditation video (10-15 minutes long). I practice ashtanga, which is a traditional yoga style, and we don’t listen to any music when practicing. I therefore love that there is no music in the videos, as it’s what I’ve become used to in my practice. It’s so wonderful that equal emphasis is placed on meditation, and so smart that the meditation video auto plays after the movement one. Overall I am truly impressed with how authentic Melissa seems, as I was hesitant to follow an instagram western wellness star - she is so down to earth and kind in these videos. I can’t speak highly enough of the whole thing. Thank you Melissa for creating something balanced, accessible (both low impact workouts and low monthly price), and enjoyable. Love!

Clear Mind, Elongated Body, Can’t Lose

I started using the Melissa Wood Health app during the 2020 pandemic and y’all - it was and continues to be a game changer. Melissa has such a calming voice and her flows and workouts open up your body unlike anything I have ever done. As a former soccer player, I’ve always preferred HIIT workouts - if I wasn’t dripping with sweat and at the point of exhaustion, I didn’t think I was working out. Melissa has reset the way I look at my body and my workouts.

My muscles have been elongated through her flows - both elongated in tone and elongated in flexibility. I’ve learned a lot about how I don’t need to pound my joints to get a good workout. Movements and pulses actually make me more sore in the right ways - in the “wow, I got a great workout and I feel stronger” and “whoa I didn’t know my body could do that” kind of way. My mental clarity has improved from the challenging workouts and fantastic insights Melissa shares.

If you’re thinking of downloading MWH, I encourage you to at least give it a week. I think you will be amazed. I’ve never been flexible or into barre or pilates workouts, but when I use MWH, it is easily one of my favorite parts of my day. PS- there is no better way to jumpstart your day than by starting it with this app.

AMAZING & Worth the 10$ Subscription!

First off I want to say I was skeptical of the hype around Melissa’s exercises. My whole life I’ve been an athlete and once I started working full time I usually stuck to boot camp type kill-yourself HIIT workouts. I thought it was the only way I could tone my body with diet combination. Needless to say, that didn’t work. I tried MWH after hearing a ton of influencers talk about it and I’m hooked. It’s so cheap for what you get. These workouts are HARD but in a different, more sustainable way than your typical HIIT class. I’m almost always sore after her flows and I can honestly say these classes have given my abs more definition than anything I’ve ever done with weights or tons of cardio. I love that it’s low impact and doesn’t leave me limping or dreading the next workout. I really think it’s so healthy and Melissa is so soothing and a fantastic instructor. I highly recommend to ANYONE esp if you’re sick of getting injured or just feel burnt out from your usual workouts. Finally, if that’s not convincing enough I cancelled my Equinox membership after realizing how much I loved MWH!

Best discovery during quarantine

Since having twins three years ago, I thought I needed to throw myself into intense workouts with heavy weights and killer cardio to get my body “back”. That served my body for sometime and was a nice way to find a release and get the endorphins going. I didn’t even know I was burnt out until quarantine happened and I found myself stuck at home (with those twins mind you!), and unable to get to my trainer. I also started suffering from constant anxiety because of the pandemic. I saw Melissa on Instagram and decided to try her workouts for a week and have been hooked ever since. I love how bite sized the workouts are- there’s literally no excuse not to move for just a few minutes a day. I mix and match or if I only have time for 5 minutes, I do what I can and don’t feel guilty! This is what my body needs during this time and I am fully embracing it. I’ve also told anyone who will listen how much I love these workouts!! And by the way, getting that body “back” is a myth, I am embracing my NEW body and Melissa is making that easier for me through both mind and body.

I absolutely love and believe in MWH Method!

I was so lucky to find this app on Instagram at the beginning of 2020, when Covid lockdowns started and all the gyms closed down. I followed her page for awhile and one day decided to subscribe and that was one of the best decisions I’ve made my whole life. I love the low impact yet effective, beautiful and graceful movements Melissa Wood creates in her flows. Her clear instructions and soothing voice make such a big difference. I actually look forward to her exercises every time and I love the feelings each and every flow brings to my inner peace. With consistency, and eating right, I can actually see lines in my abs and seeing overall toning in my entire body. On top of that, I was able to get rid of my body aches because this app method helps me to have strong core muscles which being a chiropractor, I know it is the foundation for every single movement we do. I highly recommend everyone to subscribe to Melissa Wood Health to keep our mental and physical health in check! There is no other work out or movement like this in the world

I came across Melissa’s Pilates and yoga flows earlier this year and I have to say thank God I did because it kept me in shape during the whole shut down especially living in New York City and it also helped me become more disciplined, stay committed in my fitness journey with the way she has her workouts laid out - it’s. short consistent and very very effective! Also appreciate the fact that it’s very affordable for all of us to download her app and pretty much use it anywhere at any time - for the first time my arms look defined and my abs I can see them - my legs are long and lean and I’m only 5’2 so I’m super grateful for her methods. I recently became diagnosed with the virus and I have to say that her workouts while I couldn’t do it every day I was able to commit at least three times a week and felt good about myself without losing breath and without becoming more tired and they just really really speak to your body and your soul whether you’re going through life moments or a sickness or whatever it may be I’m very happy that that’s part of my lifestyle 💕

Best Ever!!

I have never been able to stick to a workout program or schedule before. I have been with Melissa for over a year now, but have been very committed for the past 5 months now, and WOW have I seen results. So far I have lost 25 pounds, gained mental clarity, decreased anxiety, have better sleep, and overall more relaxed thanks to her regimen. There’s something about the mindfulness aspect, the meditations, and the tips to let go and breathe that really lower the cortisol and overall have a profound impact on the rest of my life. I always look forward to a video. Even after a long day, I can squeeze in 15-20 minutes. I love how she posts a weekly schedule so you don’t have to think about what you’re going to do next. She’s good about spreading out legs, abs, arms, and giving time to recover in between. I also enjoy that it is just her doing all of her flows like she is truly working out with you each time. Something to be said about that. She’s with you through every flow! I encourage everyone to try this!! You will not be disappointed. You are missing out uf you don’t subsribe!!

When I discovered Melissa through social media I instatnly was drawn to her because of her soothing voice and just her overall approach about being gentle and listening to your body. I usually never write reviews, and don’t think I have ever written one before but I really wanted to take the time to tell everyone who is hesitant to GET IT!!! You have so many workouts and mini power series and the workouts are good just by themslves or in addition to any other workout you are doing to lenghten your lines. I even got my mom and friends hooked. However, the most important thing is that by doing her workouts you create a wonderful relationship with your body, and you really start to listen what it is signaling to you. I can’t even explain it. If I don’t do Melissa’s workouts every morning I feel anxious because I know what I am missing out on, and that even just 10 min of doing her workouts change my whole day. I swear. And I am a person who was a gym freak and was so self critical to my body and harsh and judgemental to my body and the food that I ate. I still am, but Melissa is changing that. Melissa, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making MWH. EVERYONE GET IT!!!

Changed my life - mind, body, and soul.

Before Melissa Wood Health, I was having historical troubles getting into a consistent movement practice. I never identified as someone who worked out, who enjoyed working out, or who understood the benefits. After binging intense workouts to not moving my body for months on end, when I found Melissa Wood my life changed. I now consistently move my body 4-5 times a week. Her classes make me feel nourished - from my body to my soul. Two months ago, I started meditating with her meditations. Again, I had never been able to have a consistent meditation practice until I started her meditations. Now, meditation is an integral part of my routine. Every single morning, I meditate and it has changed the way I move through my days. Thank you Melissa - you have given me the space, clarity, strength, and nourishment I need on a daily basis to show up as my highest self. I can never repay this debt to you - you and MWH changed my life.
