We’ve been a SunPower dealer for over 10 years but this new app has been nothing but headaches.
I have to delete and redownload SunPowerProConnect to get through commissioning almost every time. Also, SunPowerProConnect makes me change my password weekly which then promptly gets rejected by SunPowerProConnect . It takes a 35 minute phone call in which I am transferred to 2 different departments, normal tech support cannot help you, in order to get logged back in. Even after working with the account services team to fix the login, it takes 15 minutes for SunPowerProConnect to accept the new, reset login credentials. Bring a good book to read while doing all this waiting....
The final straw for me was sunsetting the old commissioning portal before fully fixing SunPowerProConnect . If SunPowerProConnect isn’t working—like most of the time—you’re not getting the system on or commissioned. That makes for happy customers...
SunPower uses Enphase microinverters which can be purchased without a dealer directly from Enphase for less money. Their app and tech support are by far better both in form and function.
