Fennec Messenger - Family Chat Reviews

FennecMessenger is great. It has everything I'm looking for. The only thing is the glitching and lagging. I'm not trying to sound harsh because it's just a free app but sometimes it just glitches A LOT. Other than that I love FennecMessenger !

oki oki real good boi!! But me and mu Mom Tested it out and it’s pretty laggy. I barely use the doodle thing, but it’s super laggy and the size is so small ! Also the dang Call thing is REAL slow. Also the text thing. The stickers are real cute, but why do we need more friends on FennecMessenger to unlock them??? Some of us don’t have close people to use FennecMessenger with and just want to send cool stickers to a friend. Also the text screen lags and loads for a couple mins a lot . It’s oki though! I just think some bug fixes and it will be okay!! Recommend though, it’s a nice app to get close to friends! <3

Thank you for FennecMessenger it is really great it allowed me to see my dad when he was not here now I feel so good to be able to text even though I have not ever been able to text but now I can.

Fennec is a great app, but I was calling my cousin and we both realized that there was no flip camera! Fennec is a really good app, but please fix this.

Same issue as the other reviewer that it doesn’t notify me when my kids message me. But the do receive the sounds at least. No pop ups or adds. You can read your children’s messages from your phone if you need to. My 7 and 4 year old love to use it. Just wish the notifications worked on my end.

Somehow when trying to accept friend invitations from my children, they were cancelled instead. So now I can’t send messages to my own children within FennecMessenger and nothing will fix it!!

FennecMessenger never notified me when I received messages even though I turned on notifications in FennecMessenger ’s settings and my phone’s settings. I was hopeful this was something my young niece could safely use to communicate with me while I’m out of the country. Imagine how awful I felt opening FennecMessenger to discover 5 messages she sent me that I never knew I received. It did this constantly. It never vibrated, made sounds, had a nifty red circle icon, dropped down banners, nothing. It was incredibly frustrating and we immediately looked into another messaging app.

Not sure we will not delete this, seems pretty buggy. Does NOT notify you when there is a message even with notifications turned on. My Grandchild’s feeling are hurt that I didn’t respond. I didn’t know there were a messages waiting to be read.

Unable to use video call. I am able to see self but the user on opposite end can not see me. When app was working properly I loved it!!

I think FennecMessenger is a good app for people who don’t have a phone number and can’t text their friends. I have a number but one of my best friends doesn’t have a phone or a number. FennecMessenger is helpful because I can text her even though she doesn’t have a phone. Also, you don’t have to have Facebook!!!!! My family doesn’t do Facebook and I was glad to find an app that doesn’t need Facebook.
I wish that FennecMessenger gave me notifications when someone texted me. I also wish that in the beginning FennecMessenger gave you a walk through of how to work everything. I am pretty good at figuring apps out but my friend could not figure out how to give herself a nickname and put a photo on her account. I tried to explain how to get a picture of yourself, but she didn’t seem to understand. The last bother is that my friend cannot see me in the video calls. I can see her but she can’t see me. Other than these things I think FennecMessenger is awesome.
