Cancelled friend request can’t be undone

Somehow when trying to accept friend invitations from my children, they were cancelled instead. So now I can’t send messages to my own children within the app and nothing will fix it!!
Not For Us

The app never notified me when I received messages even though I turned on notifications in the app’s settings and my phone’s settings. I was hopeful this was something my young niece could safely use to communicate with me while I’m out of the country. Imagine how awful I felt opening the app to discover 5 messages she sent me that I never knew I received. It did this constantly. It never vibrated, made sounds, had a nifty red circle icon, dropped down banners, nothing. It was incredibly frustrating and we immediately looked into another messaging app.
Buggy

Not sure we will not delete this, seems pretty buggy. Does NOT notify you when there is a message even with notifications turned on. My Grandchild’s feeling are hurt that I didn’t respond. I didn’t know there were a messages waiting to be read.
