Should be updated many times it is so far behind in service that sometimes lags or even cut off your messages you send a message you’re OK and then after eight is that you can’t send any more messages because the mic is not working it won’t record it lags it has bugs Glide works awesome when it actually wants to work but outside of that the company should put their time and money into fixing it so it actually works proper The response time on receiving and sending messages lags my mom would be send me a voice message and then had to start typing to me because to make does not want to work what kind of app does that never seen it before but it does happen and I still continue to use Glide because I actually do like Glide

Return the dates & times

I enjoy using Glide. I appreciate being about to prepare the video mag before sending, which makes ending to multiple recipients easy too. During one of the recent updates, the date and times were removed from the messages so you could not see when the messages were sent back and forth. These were helpful for me and thankfully they added this feature back to Glide with the new update. THANKS!

However a huge negative is that all my messages before two weeks ago have been deleted. They notified us that Store age issues prevented them from keeping all the messages. But now several recent messages were deleted after the recent update. Huge negative for me.

Features

I would love Glide more if you could react to videos the way Marco Polo allows. Also if you could play them at a faster speed. Last thing is being able to record responses to videos while watching them. That’s all that’s missing from Glide being better than Marco Polo. I’ve already convinced most of my groups to switch over because Marco Polo gave us features and then charged us for them, rather than adding features that we have to pay for. I desperately want Glide to be better than Marco Polo. Because I don’t want to even use their app anymore. Please help.

And when you need revenue, do commercials or something. Not $6/mo subscriptions

The Glide App

If I am to be honest, everything that Glide offers is amazing. You can chat individually or create a Group to chat with in any format You choose! Text, Voice and Video messaging! The only issue that I have is that for me, the audio quality is not very good. It seems fine for my friends but for me it is full of static! Only for me? My phone is fine as the audio quality in other apps I use is very good. I’m sure there is a fix! I just have not found it yet!
Do Not Hesitate do Download and use Glide as I am the only person I know experiencing this problem. You will have Fun! Great way to set up a Family Chat Group!!!!!!! If I get the audio issue fixed I would not hesitate to give a 5 star rating!

Timing too short

I am Deaf, most of us Deaf users tend to use American Sign Language to communicate. We use our hands, not our voices, thus the timing cut off too fast then we have to do another sign message and another sign messages. The this app messages becomes too long, I prefer another competitor video messaging apparently that one has no time limit perfect for Deaf users not sure if Im allowed to say on here but its MP, for Deaf users figure out yourselves. Way better than this one, part of problem is that I do not have a lot of time to watch so many this app messages after it cuts off. Too long, maybe this company needs to remove the time setting and allow users to talk or sign as long as needed. Thank you.

Closing the gap between those you love!!!

We have three kiddos that live a thousand miles away. And one grand baby on the way. This is so much better than texting!!we can feel like we are with them! And everyone can respond back when the are available. And rewatch and share things. I am also using this with business partners for a tool to get stuff done and decided. Love this so much!!!

Great for ASL

I use Glide fairly regularly to communicate via ASL. It works great and i love the many features.

The reason for only 4 stars is because I don’t like that it sends a notification to all of your friends when you get on Glide after not using for a little while. I would like to be able to get on to send a message without it alerting everyone I know. Plus it’s very annoying getting notifications that random people I barely know are getting on their app. It’s weird and kind of creepy and it violates privacy. I wish they would take that off.

Happy until upgrade - cannot flip camera while recording in groups

I have been HAPPY using Glide for years for my family’s group chats. It’s helped make living in different states a lot easier! I would give it a 5 star except I can no longer flip the camera to rear video recording while I’m in the group and I can no longer delete videos!! I Absolutely love Glide when it’s working probably!! Please hurry up and fix it! Just started a new group chat at my church and wanted to suggest we use Glide. They’ve started using GroupMe. I don’t want to tell the about this app until it’s fixed😕

Repeatedly dissapointed

I’ve been using Glide for years. My friends and family are spaced across the world, and it’s been a great way for everyone to catch snippets of each other’s lives without having to broadcast it all over the rest of social media. The first aspect that always irked me was the inability to save photos and videos to my phone. AND THEN THEY DELETED ALL OLD CONTENT. Right before, the option to save your media appeared, just in a very downgraded, pixelated form. Now, I’ve just opened Glide to see a new video from my sis, only to have a notification pop up every two seconds insisting that I do not have a connection. Save yourselves a headache and just start a group text. It’s the same thing without the hassle.

Forced to pay for your memories

Glide was cool at first. It was so much so that I used it to communicate with my now boyfriend before we got together. Now they are saying if I want to export (save my memories) I have to pay a price. For memories that are priceless, it would have been great if we were able to pay but we are not able at this moment. It would have been great if there were a notice for the future charge instead of a surprise ultimatum with only 8 days to comply. This surprise charge is leaving a sour taste in my mouth. Would have been great to know ahead of time. Now I just have to delete Glide and let my friends know I was wrong about it. Thanks for the memories while they lasted though.

I really want to love Glide but it is annoying and frustrating most of the time. I get very inconsistent notifications and often I have had messages for days without knowing. My friends literally have to text me and say they sent me a this app. Sometimes the camera doesn’t work and I won’t be able to see myself trying to make a video. Sometimes I log in and have no new videos and as soon as I record a video to my friends all the missing videos that were sent before mine show up. I then have to go back an watch them and then send another video to address they’re recent videos. It’s very annoying.

Would love the option to record without microphone!

I am a hearing person who uses this app to practice ASL, and I really dislike that the other hearing people I practice with can hear my background noise. It would be really great if this app would let us record video without audio / without access to our microphone. I’m also not a huge fan of the fact that Glide tells you when someone’s watching your video, because that feels a little invasive...but maybe there’s a way to turn that off that I haven’t explored.

Other than that, this app is pretty great!!

A little sad with changes

I am a little sad that I would have to pay for all my old messages on this app. There were some great moments and I don't feel that what was already recorded should have to be now paid for. Going forward I understand the changes are necessary but I feel that old messages should of been free of charge. Also, Glide eats up a lot of battery. The good news is that I live the fact that it connects me with friends and family that I don't get to see in person everyday. Thanks for that at least. Be blessed!!

Braille display Voiceover barrier video chat problem

I have a question why your app this app has problem with Braille display always get voice over barrier from video chat. Braille voiceover unable move to video chat to be click for use American Sign Language that DeafBlind can use ASL during video chat to be leave video messages by themselves as independently. I struggled to scroll through Braille voice over via iPhone plus 8 because this app blocked Braille voiceover black line field cannot move to video chat for clicking. Please fix it ASAP! Facebook messenger video chat is successful with Braille display perfectly.

Long time user but quite upset

I’ve been using Glide to talk to my best friend every day for years now.
We love love love Glide and how it works.
Sometimes we’ll talk for hours on it!

But right now I am not pleased. It’s worked perfectly for years and all of the sudden the videos I send are pixeled. Terrible quality. It’s not a phone thing because the videos I take off Glide are perfect.
I sent in a bug report and got an email back saying it was a know problem, this was 4-5 months ago. It’s still pixeled and it wasn’t fixed at all. I’m super upset.
That and now the videos aren’t wanting to play which is also upsetting, ill have full bars of internet and it will take 5 minutes for a video to play. I don’t understand it.

I love Glide and just want it back to where it was when we first started using it 😭😭😭

Turn off auto play!!!!!

Absolutely LOVE Glide. I literally use it every day. But sometimes I haven’t caught up with all the videos from my group and I can’t listen while at work but I want to communicate via text and every time I open the conversation videos play. It drives me insane! At least give us the option to turn auto play off please!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Otherwise Glide is great.

It’s still about the same !!

I can only use this app for a short period of time, I can make so many messages and then after that it says ‘ sending’ @ the bottom of the page so I have to keep uninstalling Glide and reinstalling.. That’s crazy but plz help me understand why do I have to continue doing it I been on this app for awhile and nothing has changed I see ..

Love Glide

I use Glide to send video texts to my friend who is Deaf. One feature I would like to see added is a slow motion feature so I can slow down the speed to read fingerspelling and replay a sign that I have missed, but mostly to slow down a fingerspelled word I keep missing.

Great at first..

Glide was great at first, WAY better than Marco Polo, but recently Glide has been glitching on not just my phone but also others that I am connected with. Notifications stopped showing up and at time videos would not load or would never show up until the next day. This would happen even when both or all parties were within a very good coverage zone so it is not due to the lack of cell service. Would love to have this fixed so that we all don’t go to something else. Thank you!

this app is great! However it makes people we don't know our friends without a choice. Let us go public and have people request or follow us. We need to see and pick who it's is and decide if it's ok to follow us. Also can we include music in our profile. Stop letting videos disappear we love to see past videos we've made or have from our friends and followers. Give us our old videos back and stop selling our videos out. However maybe use the profile of age, clothes, accessories,
and food as info to sell instead. Open or broaden the horizon of this app to do so.

Love it but has one negative feature

The only thing I don’t like about this app is that it gives me a ton of random names to add to my contacts and I’m not sure who all is seeing my name and profile picture.
Other than that, it’s fun to use and doesn’t fill up tons of space on my phone like other videos do.

Recording glide problem

I have this app in my iPhone for three years and it was great. Until last January it has problems with recording. It keeps delaying to start viewing. I already cleared all this app videos, even I cleaned memory storage, and iPhone software update. It is still same. How can I make this app recording in speed at starting? Not waiting for 15 to 30 seconds to start recording. I am frustrated with this app. Thanks.
