this app stole $100 from me by charging me for a subscription without my knowledge. so far i’ve sent two emails to customer support and no reply. this is absolutely unacceptable
No response for closing out my account. How can i cancel my subscription?
Cancel subscription. I was unfairly charged for an annual subscription. I can’t afford it. Need a refund please
On 6/19/2022, my credit card was charged $108.24 without my consent for a year subscription of Lucid. I cannot afford that amount and need my money refunded.
When I signed up for the free trial I was notified that when my free trial was over that I would be notified so I could cancel it. I also was under the one month free trial I don’t know why it went to the one year. Long story short I didn’t want an annual charge. Am I able to get my money back I do not want this app any more
I cancelled the app exactly 1 week of trial subscription but upon doing so they already charged me with 1 Year subscription which i did not choose. I send email via Contact Us on their website and now awaiting for their response on the refund.

the cards are just simplistic flowcharts with a sentence beside it. an important sentence, sure. but it basically resembles someone’s notes after reading the book.
here’s my problem: why would i pay for someone’s notes? each book’s lucid thing probably takes like, an hour total to make, not including time reading. the goal of this app is to make education more accessible, i thought, but this app could probably easily sustain itself on a genuine free business model. even if half of the books were unlocked for free you could still make it work with good unlockable features. but no lol. the whole thing is behind a paywall to the point where it’s stupid that this is even listed as a free app.
my suggestion is to NOT pirate books, do not google “free pdf book title” and look around because that’s bad and you shouldn’t do that.

I am very unhappy that I did not remember to cancel my one week trial before it was too late and I was billed $99 dollars for the year. I took one overarching glance and realized how dumb I was to download this app and give it a try. I should have known better. It is just more leftist/liberal ideology and perspective, most of which I do not agree with or care to read. What an epic waste of money. If you want to read and learn stuff that has been written by Michelle Obama and read about things that alarm Democrats like climate change, wearing masks properly, the uninhabitable earth, the sixth extinction, how to become an antiracist, the Big Bang theory and everything else they offer with a liberal twist, you will enjoy this app. If not, don’t waste your money.

The menu churns along and eventually displays some options, but when I click on one all I get is a blank screen. I had two thoughts: "Maybe they're having server problems and I should remember to try again later" immediately followed by "that's probably how people forget to cancel the trial that bills a full year at once". I was happy to give it a fair shake for the few cents they paid to send a Facebook ad to me. Based on my trial it seems that it doesn't work and I'm not going to give them more benefit of the doubt with $100 of my money on the line.
Buyer beware: If you can, make sure the content actually works on your phone and OS before paying, because it might not.
