After seeing a friend spin the wheel and “win” satoshis, I was excited enough to open and account and try it myself. The entire experience was a complete disappointment. I have to say that I’m not a Bitcoin millionaire and my usage is one that I’m comparing to experiences using credit and debit cards and earning rewards. First off, the reward rate never averaged above 1.5%, which didn’t compare with my other credit cards. Second, the card itself took 3+ weeks to arrive, and is about the quality you’d expect from a 1985 library card or Kroger rewards card. Basically the opposite you get from the Apple Card, etc. Third, it’s a pain to remember to come back to Fold to spin the wheel, and those spins expire, so you’re constantly having to come back to Fold after each purchase. I have better ways to spend my day. Lastly, when I tried to withdraw money from my account, there wasn’t a single ATM that would do so anywhere near me (I live in a metro with Costco, Target, Whole Foods, Nordstroms, but no fee free ATMs for this app). So when I asked for a check to be sent to me, they charged me for that, and for “activating” my account. this app is a bust. Just get an Apple Card and get 2% back.

Okay so I’m first off wondering if I’ll ever even make back the this app premium card cost of $150. At least not so long as BTC is at current levels. Also, for $150, I’d love a steel card like Amazon’s, not this silly, shiny plastic thing. Next, I’m skeptical of the “randomness” of the wheel spin. On small purchases I miraculously get 20x, 50x Sats, but I made a few huge purchases ($1k and over) and had to burn through all my extra spins to even yield a 10x. How convenient. Shouldn’t be too hard to program a Sat limiter to purchases over, let’s say $200, so I’m suspicious. Finally, I wish charges worked as debits against my official checking account, so funding would be present as needed. Instead, this card just has to be loaded in either an immediate fashion with a fee, or waiting days and days for it to transfer from my account. Overall I like it in theory, I love that they are spreading BTC gospel, but I’m sort of wondering if this pans out to be any better than just the 2% I get off everything with my AMEX, especially with the $150 fee I’m in the hole to start with.

Functionality of Fold itself is very good. Also easy to set up/fund. Lots of good things going for it. That said, I’ll be using the rest of my funds already in Fold and won’t be using anymore. Within the last week, all of the following occurred; I tried to transfer some money to my bank. The transfer was declined, as my bank couldn’t verify the this app account was mine. They told me to contact this app customer support, which is email only… They only allow $1000/mo on cash advances/cash back. Nope… ATM locators are nowhere to be found within Fold , and when you find one, although this app doesn’t charge in network, the ATMs themselves do. Lastly I tried to pay a bill online today using the card. Payment wouldn’t go through, (plenty of funds, tripled checked the #s were correct) Overall a frustrating weeks of different errors I’ve never had elsewhere. The rewards aren’t worth the limitations that come with the card, especially when they are barely competitive with what a large bank offers on regular debit charges ran as credit.

So, this easily matches any other card. What am I going to do with reward mileage or 1% back on buying more products or something. This is an easy way to get involved in the cryptocurrency world, in terms of rewards. The community is good and you can get involved on your own terms. Now I haven’t really explored other offers. And I like they’ve linked to an actual bank.

It’s been consistently above 1%, before and after this current wheel. And the extra spins are fun. Getting rewards for something you were going to purchase is not gambling. I don’t understand how people can equate it like that.

Anyways, the discord community is vibrant and it looks like they’re developing more, like that metaverse thing. Don’t know much, but I dislike Facebook (which is where i see news popping up more when concerning the future of alts in the interweb).

Got this card back in Feb, it was confusing because you have to spin for rewards and you could end up with negligible rewards, so it was basically like gambling, but the rewards were promising. However, the spin wheels started going downhill except for one awesome wheel in July. And it was super sketchy they hold onto your rewards for 30-37 days before you’re allowed to withdraw to your Bitcoin wallet (for reference, for other Bitcoin rewards cards such as the awesome Coinbase card, you earn and own your rewards instantly). That was the first red flag. However, I was able to take out many of my rewards over the past few months, so I thought it was trustworthy enough…until my withdrawals started getting canceled with no notice.

Then today hundreds of us (as seen in the official this app discord) got a shutdown email and that we would not be able to redeem any more rewards. What a SCAM. We need to report these guys to CFPB and the SEC. Meanwhile, they kept leading us on in the official discord telling us not to worry.

DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE. AVOID Fold AND REPORT THEM!

Absolutely love Fold. Stacking satoshis from making everyday purchases and paying bills is the best feeling. The purchase spin wheel changes periodically which is fine by me. The daily wheel gives less rewards but that makes sense since we earn a generous amount on purchases. And the this app team often gift us extra spins just because. I’ve earned my membership fee back and then some in less than a couple of months. It helped that I was an early access user who got a debit card with this app by a certain date because I was able to get a the $50 premium deposit bonus a few weeks ago. I truly pay my bills and spend money with a new sense of gratitude because of this app. This rewards debit card is better than any other rewards card I have.

Bitcoin will control the financial world at some point. Since there is a cap no more can ever be produced. It’s the perfect system to control the overprinting of money and I believe will become the global currency within 5-10 years. Since each 100 millionth of a bitcoin is a sat it becomes available for everyone and the more sats you have the closer you get to one bitcoin! So why not use the this app App and start earning sats now? The free spins are absolutely awesome, it makes spending money not only fun but incredibly rewarding!! It’s by far the best reward card out there.

Was excited to get early access to this app and love the idea of BTC rewards. They have an awesome first mover advantage which they hopefully won’t squander. Pros: great for gift card rewards (with a logical tiered reward %age for using credit < lighting < this app card). OKs: premium card is cool, and while I understand rewards are styled after a UK premium bond lottery, they haven’t yet gotten them to a level where they consistently, on average, beat a good credit card rewards strategy (because you can always take those and buy BTC). They seem to be aware of this, but steps to make it really competitive/attractive are slow. Cons: Daily spin wheel rewards are weak compared to e.g. Lolli. Not terribly buggy and regularly updated so good on that front.

I have to say, this has to be top two best crypto cards around. I have or have tried about 8 different crypto cards and although most do the same thing; load it, buy with it, get crypto back… this card has an edge based on the fun spin wheel part. Sure chances of getting the big prize is the same as at an amusement park but regardless, it makes it fun. I can think of a few upgrades but in all it’s fine. Wish the virtual card had a longer expiration date since I changed a few of my monthly subscriptions to it and it’s only valid for two months so I will have to change them again when I activate the virtual card.

Cashback is my favorite thing. Been doing it since ebates. But it’s always been available only on credit cards. This is the first debit card I know of that offers it for Bitcoin. Plus the added spin system for bonus btc makes me want to spend money. It’s a hassle to have to wait for the money transferred onto the card to clear but options for more ways are coming. Follow them on Twitter, they have droves of people who love them. They’ve been changing features here and there but the objective remains in tact. Using it to pay bills is the best hack. I haven’t figured out how to pay off credit cards with it yet but once I do, it’s a wrap.

I love this app and their mission to bring crypto to the world. However, I have a hard time recommending this card over competitors like the Coinbase debit card to friends. The wheel is a fun way to keep people hooked on this app, but as someone who frequently spends their crypto in the real world and with Coinbase guaranteeing 4% back on XLM for every purchase right now, I cannot say this app is the best option for rewards. If this app intends on being a serious competitor in the world of crypto spending, the will have to step their game up soon. I’ve spent a lot of Kinney through this app and I honestly think I would have been better just using the Coinbase card instead.

this app has totally eliminated the use of credit cards and points for me because simply, it lets you earn the hardest money of all time. What could be better than that? Fold is fun and fresh with constant changes to the purchase spin wheel to keep the rewards fresh and exciting. Best of all, every purchase has the potential chance to win a full Bitcoin. Owning this card actually has the potential to change your life just by using it regularly. Whether that be by winning the full bitcoin on a purchase or just earning ever appreciating sats regularly. Eventually everything you buy with this card will be free. Enjoy stacking!

this app is the best way to be rewarded for your every day purchases. Even better, is that the rewards are paid in Bitcoin! Support staff is amazing via their discord channel in case there are any questions. There is the free portion of Fold which allows you to win small amounts of Bitcoin, and they offer two debit card options for larger rewards on your purchases. I would recommend spin+ , which is their premium debit card- it costs $150 but I have quickly exceeded that amount in my rewards in just a few months. Credit card is not available yet but it is on the way. Great app and great team!

Great debit card!! They do an amazing job of constantly changing up the wheel that you get to spin after every single purchase. You can tell that this company is completely engaged and most importantly, they listen to their customers! They interact with the community and make spending money that much more fun! They are constantly making changes for the better and getting more creative as the months go by. Why get stupid airplane miles when you can actually get in appreciating asset after every single purchase, with bitcoin! You will thoroughly enjoy owning this card. I just hit 300,000 sats!! LFG!!!

If you’re like me and prefer bitcoin to hotel/flight points then you’ll love this app. Receiving an appreciating asset as a reward for everyday purchases is a game changer. Can’t believe more ppl haven’t caught on yet.

Some drawbacks: I’d make this app my primary banking account but unfortunately there is only one card per account. This makes it tough when my wife and I are in separate locations and both need the card. Apple Pay helps resolve this often, but always. Instant ACH transfers would also be nice, as would earning rewards on ACH transactions.

Overall I love the card and my rewards have more than offset the fee.

Wow. What an amazing product and app. It makes all other cards seem boring. It’s fun for the whole family! My 4 year old will ask me every morning “is it time to get some satoshis?”. He absolutely loves spinning the wheel. I love buying my wife things because it gives me an excuse to spin the purchase wheel. If I’m using it at work at a vending machine, I’ll buy a fellow coworker something just so I can break the $3 threshold so I can spin the wheel!

Their customer service is top notch. Any issue you have, ask them, they will respond with haste.

This is one of my go-to apps and the this app Card is great in general. There are multiple ways to get Satoshis with multiple spin wheels and there is an active and engaged community behind this app. I actually forgot my card once and the team was fast and quick in responding to that scenario with little issue.

I’m giving this 5 stars even though I want to rate this 4.5. You can buy gift cards through here for many major retailers with fantastic cash back options (paid out in Satoshis) but I just wish they had a wider variety of gift cards to use.

I’ve only had my this app card for a few months and Ive already stacked over a million sats. Spinning the wheel after a purchase is fun, and there are lots of ways to get extra spins. They really care about their customers and engage with them daily on their discord server. There are spin giveaways, and they take feedback and answer questions. Wheel options change every 2 weeks, which keeps things fresh and allows them to cater to different types of spending habits. Definitely get the premium version of the card. It will pay for itself very quickly.

I love this card. It’s a little hard to figure out the direct deposit part if you’re putting part of your paycheck in regularly and you do have to remember to claim your rewards, but it’s fun stacking sats and when my card number got compromised there were no questions asked they refunded the fraudulent transactions and sent me my new card right away. They also have awesome deals with vendors if you buy gift cards through them. Also recently I bought a lot of furniture and on a $5,600 purchase I got 5% back in satoshis it totally made our week.
