Guac - Save While You Spend Reviews

On all the one star reviews this app says to email them and they will help you through it, well they simply don’t. They send you unhelpful and frankly somewhat rude emails, that do nothing for you. Guac if confusing and they can pause your ability to use the whole app whenever they want. Deleting Guac seems genuinely impossible. You have to wait for all the money to be out but there’s no way to stop money coming in. GET ANY OTHER SAVINGS APP THIS IS THE WOSRT DESIGNED APP OF ALL TIME. There’s no way to unconnect your bank account from their app once you connect it.

STILL TRYING TO DELETE MY ACCOUNT ITS NOW MARCH HOW RIDICULOUS HORRIBLE APP AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE, talk about condescending and rude.

The fact that it’s been one month since I’ve started the deletion process and Guac still isn’t deleted and is still taking money from my account tells you every thing you need to know, it’s designed poorly and the service is trash, Guac IS GARBAGE AND IMPOSSIBLE TO GET RID OF YOU CANNOT UNCONNECT YOUR BANK ACCOUNT DO NOT DO IT.

Takes about a week for it to catch up to transfers and balances, even though it says “within 3 days”. Works like it’s supposed to, just slowly, which makes it difficult to keep track of how much is still going to leave your checking account. Also, the “statements” page makes it really difficult to track down the amounts and verify because you have to scroll through individual days, rather than just listing all the transfers and the date they occurred. Doesn’t make any sense. It’s more difficult to verify through the “activities” page, because transfers are typically done as a combination of percentages from multiple purchases, so adding up the right purchases to see if they match the transfers (which happen VERY slowly) is a nightmare. All things that can be improved through a better UI.

I’m now very satisfied with the speed at which money is received from my funding source and placed into my Goal account. Normal processing time seems to be around 3 days. That seems to be the industry standard in this age of computer technology. When I tested the transfer process back to my funding source it was denied for a rapid transfer. I discovered the reason why and it was Bank standards and not this app’s. I will continue using the service and look forward to faster speeds as banking standards relax. I am very excited about the fact I don’t have to manually move money myself. Outstanding overall App and company.

I first tried to change my funding source, when you do this you’re required to contact support and give them very intrusive sensitive information over email in order to change your funding source. So I decided I wanted to just close my account because of the hassle and intrusiveness of this company. I tried countless times with no avail. I’ve been in contact with the support at this app and they are NOT helpful, you can’t delete your account. They just tell you hit the delete button and it never ever works, you just get an error message and your account remains. I’ve been trying to delete my account for over a month now. This company is literally like a parasite you can’t get rid of.

I love Guac! My issue with other savings apps (mainly round-up ones) is that it saves too slow cause I’m only saving a few cents with every transaction. With this app, I can save by setting aside a % of what I spend. I can adjust the saving rate depending on my current financial situation. Also really like that you can organize your savings into different goals. I’ve already saved $2000 in a few short months for my next vacation when this dang pandemic is over.

I downloaded Guac today. Was disappointed when I realized there was no investment options. Then talked to my mom since I was excited to use Guac and she asked if I made sure it wasn’t a scam. I read the 1 star reviews and decided to delete my profile. I deleted all my saving goals and then tried to delete my account and all I’m getting is an error message saying to contact admin. I sent an email a few minutes ago but if ur reading the reviews please don’t download Guac i’m getting a really sus vibe. I’m just very nervous about being scammed and will be updating based on the outcome. If I don’t hear from them I will contact my bank and the PA consumer protection office and Apple.

Guac is so great and easy to use. To the people that left negative feedback I’m thinking they didn’t read the percentage they were saving etc. I suggest just starting low such as 1-5 percent and then you can always change to go up if you want to save more. It’s such a great concept and love the little this app character in the top corner of Guac . There was a lot of great thought that went into making Guac , great job! Happy customer here!

I love being able to save my money with this app I’ve been able to save money as well as take money out and put it back in my account came came in the next day the first time I withdrew some cash and when I had a question about Guac someone called me back immediately which made me really feel confident about Guac
I would definitely recommend Guac to anybody who wants to save money it’s really awesome

Like this app better than Acorns because at least they give me a percentage feature which I can change whenever I want. Just that is a game changer for me. They also have a market place in which credit cards can be utilized for extra rewards of need be. The compounding is a real thing if we’re constantly using our credit cards to buy stuff.

I’m just really not going to inconvenience myself by having to message support to change my freaking bank. Especially when this company collects all the data and benefits off of it and us users don’t get a penny. The least they can do is be like drop or moneylion and allow users to connect our own banks and give a bonus for doing so. Since you’re going to snoop through our activities for “cashback”. I should not need Guac’s permission to change my bank. Ridiculous.

Love using this app to save up for my spending goals. It’s easy to use and so refreshing to be able control how much and how quickly to save. Super excited to start using the Marketplace and earn cash back too! Definitely eyeing that vacation after this covid situation settles down and can’t wait to book it through the Marketplace.

I’ve been using The this app app for a year I’ve saved so much money I’ve been able to go on to amazing vacations!!! Guac is so simple to use. I’ve been able to keep my normal spending habits and save at the same time. I booked my vacations through the this app marketplace and earned cash back to start the process over again. Thanks this app!

It took several days for it to get started but once it did it was smooth. It’s an easy way to save without the stress of moving money around. It’s kind of nice to forget about for a month or so and then go in and check your account out. It’s a pleasant surprise every time.

After several weeks of working through issues to get my money transferred, we’ve had success.

So not only does it take 4 days to clear from the time that Guac begins removing funds it also takes 4 days to withdraw the money from the apps holding account. It appears to entirely disregard the minimum balance requirements, does not notify when transfers have been initiated and also will incur overdraft fees regardless of minimum balance as it disregards pending charges and current balance. I give Guac no praise, it is inherently expensive and has cost more than it’s worth between overdrafts and wait times.

If I could give Guac zero stars I would. It started out fine and I actually saved some money for a while. However, my account recently went into an overdraft, but this app continued to pull money from my account and now every time my account gets overdrawn, this app makes the situation even worse by pulling more money. I got up at 6:30AM for work this morning to a notification that my account had been overdrawn for $228!!!! AND I CANT EVEN PUT THE MONEY BACK IN MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE this app IS STILL PROCESSING IT!!! this app is only putting me in debt and causing me more stress.

So I started using Guac , then I needed to get some of my money back (basically had a family member take my money and I need to pay my bills) and it said it could pay me back until 1-3 business days when my money settled well I email them and they gave a few unhelpful responses about how I need to wait and I told them I had waited and I’ve been trying to delete my account but I can’t until I take my money out which it won’t allow, and they refuse to email me back. Don’t fall for it like I did.

I’ve never been one to save because jeesh! Who can with these rising prices!!! But man this app is definitely helping me out. I’m thinking about increasing the percentage cause I pretty much can’t tell when guc is helping and that’s the BEST PART! It’s painless and super useful! I even got my boyfriend using it! He loooves it !!

I did love Guac but now I don’t know how to feel. My bank account is set to close tomorrow. I have almost $550 in the this app app. I’m trying to withdraw my money that it has saved and it will not let me withdraw it even though it has been in the account settling well over 3 days. I have emailed support with no email back. I am very upset that I am trying to get my money out that is mine and cannot get it. Will someone please contact me back so I can get my money out.

I canceled my account months ago because I did not like the platform after not getting my refund of the money in my account once it was closed I reached out several times to get it resolved and I have still not received my money 4 months later and now they no longer respond to emails and no phone number to call. Scam app Still has not been resolved and no other communication has been made from your team. I just want my money

Guac has finally allowed me to save for specific wants. The information this app provides on all my transactions and purchases is phenomenal. I purchased a tennis racket in the this app marketplace using my this app saved funds. Within 24 hours I had a notification asking where to deposit my cash back from purchase. AMAZING!!!!!
