They took $505 from my bank account to pay the 2nd payment due for January. I have evidence from my bank statement. I checked with the community several times. They never received the payment. They play the "avoid customers at all cost" game with their poorly developed chat bot sending you around in circles. No effective response. No one to resolve the problem. My attorney will contact them instead. Total ripoff!

they are not responsive to communication only robots and no escalation is available if your question is no answered then they have no answer???!!!!! they are not equipped to respond to problems! Ours is unique I have a flex account to pay my half of the rent due. when my roommate needed to use the flex system this month ( I already had a scheduled payment set up) her request short-circuited the system they had her pay 100% of the rent and then tried to take my 50% which would now be 150% how unprofessional if I was a betting woman I'd say they do this on purpose to collect fees with no way to get a refund? Are they regulated? Probably not! It's a little like a check-cashing scene

I got a message telling me that I had until 5pm on 8-5-22 to have funds in my account and I email them to let them know it was in there and noone pull it off I got a text telling me to Screencast my portal done that to screens hot that the funds were in there done that and all this had to be done within 5min the time I got message was at 5:02 I had info in there by 5:07 only to text me back at 8:49 to say they can't pay my rent now I'm in a bind now I would love if someone like a supervisor contact me and make things right its crazy I have to suffer due to you all lack of communication and mistakes

Extremely frustrated with the app. Email for customer support and it tool 5 hours to hear back from someone. They do not allow manual payments and as someone that is on a tight budget, I can't just leave the funds in my account as other subscriptions will drain what I have. They didn't even try to pull the money until halfway through the day, and you can't call for help.. I never would have signed up for something so inconvenient if I had know it would would this difficult to pay a damn bill. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I received my Flex Card in my inbox and tried to pay my rent but my apartment service keep saying that it can not verify my identity for the Flex Card. I sent emails on March 1 but only keep getting automatically generic responses! I have sent emails everyday since March 1 2022 and now it’s March 4 and my rent is late and the apartment management put late fee on my account!! Flex has already taken $625 out of my bank account so I don’t have the full rent to pay!! I went to my flex account and re-enter all of my information and correct address but the flex card number will not go through!! I need someone to please contact me!!!

I sent an email stating I received a late fee from my rental company on the 11/04/21 & 11/05/21. I was told via email from Cesar (Flex Rep) that “We will retry payment before 5pm on 11/05.” No such luck, I sent another email by 8pm because my payment wasn’t debited. The rep stated my rent would not be covered for November and my Flex account will be deactivated. She told me to resend an email to reactivate my account after 11/15/21

Completely a downfall. I admit it helped me out, until yesterday. I was told I had until the 7th, I assume until the end of their business day which is 9pm. Funds were in there before 6pm. I sent multiple emails informing them when to process the money, again I received nothing!!! Only the automated reply. Today, June 8th, I receive a text message informing me that my account will be deactivated and they will not be paying June rent. Wtf kind of shit is that!!! Flex will definitely put you in a bad position, and that’s a terrible feeling. & now again I can’t even call them, I have to wait for a reply from email, in which I yet have still not received!! Communication is their downfall- customer service is their downfall! I can only imagine how many people have been screwed over by them.

Don't use this app, their customer service is non existent and you will never be able to contact them at all for anything. I'm simply trying to cancel my account but I can't because I cant reach anyone. Seriously don't use this app its not worth it.

terrible customer service

I was a Flex user since September of 2020 and absolutely loved it. Rent was coming out on time and the correct amount (I split rent with a roommate who doesn’t use Flex). Since December, things with rent have been odd since they have calculated rent way too high and I had to continue to email them to change it, and rent was paid at the last minute. In January, they paid my entire rent, roommates included, and I emailed them and told them it was incorrect. They only charged me for my rent and not my roommates. I emailed saying this was wrong and no response. Then, at the end of the month, they charged us the money we owed because of a system error and all of the money came out that week, and they then asked me to pay on the 1st of the month still even though rent was just taken out a week before. I figured I’d be able to handle it, because I normally pay relatively decent payments through flex. My February rent would not show up, and I emailed multiple people, with no response or “it will be fixed.” It was never fixed, leaving me with either paying my rent in full or getting hit with $160 late fees. Taylor from Flex told me multiple times it would be fixed, but when 10pm came around on the last day, it still hadn’t been, and I had to pay all of my rent in full this month, leaving me with basically no paycheck for two weeks. Customer service will ghost you and leave you stranded. I do not recommend.

Not sure where they're buying reviews from...

I have used flex for 3 months, only 1 of them willingly. The first month they didn't withdraw the right amount to pay for my rent, because there was a credit on the account from when I paid my move-in fees. Ok cool, I'll just cancel it. I opened a case the day before to cancel my payment (no, you can't just press a button. You have to start a case with their garbage customer service team) but it turns out it takes them 2-3 days to respond to your case. Ok, cool so I can't cancel it. Just wait one more second though, it gets better. They didn't show the payment scheduled, so I thought they actually were able to cancel the payment, instead they just withdrew the money both times that month without notifying me in advance. I get paid on Friday, and they withdrew mid-week unexpectedly, which over drafted my account. Fast forward, I decide I'll give flex a chance again but I know now that there's a deadline for when to submit changes. So I submit for reactivation with 3 days before the date of payment, 2 more days than required! And still, they don't get back to me on time. There's no way to contact them by phone, and I'm 90% sure my case was auto-closed because I'm only receiving automated replies from them now. Without a doubt, this has been in my top 5 worst customer service experiences, and I work in customer service.

Terrible.

This company is a fraud and joke! Will leave you on edge until they disconnect you on the day they’re supposed to take money from your account. I am updating. Right before everyone received their stimulus I was contacted by this company about the horrible service. We were approved for March, but wouldn’t you know? The day before we get paid they unlink the account because we were negative at the time (even though our paycheck was going to cover everything and still leave us with money!). When we signed up and were approved there was never any mention of having to have over the amount they would pull in your account at all times.. even though the money they pull is set to be drafted on YOUR payday! That’s deceptive. Tell the people signing up and apartment complexes the reality of your system you’re offering! People live paycheck to paycheck who typically use these services. How do you expect that there won’t be times where a persons bank account is withdrawn? They’re still going to be paid on payday folks. So you can always withdrawal your half of payments each paycheck. Flex is not only lacking transparency, there customer service is rude. Please avoid this service. If it wasn’t for the stimulus we would’ve been insanely screwed in April due to Flex!
