Ziffit – Sell Your Books Reviews

This website is an absolute joke, please do not be scammed into sending them your books. I sent them a brand new book that was only used for one semester and was in perfect condition upon sending it to them, no rips or damage, nothing. They then decided to tell me that they couldn’t accept my book AND not only this, they weren’t going to send my book back either. This last part really angered me as college student, as this book could have been easily donated or given back to the school I purchased it for someone else to use, it was in perfect condition. Instead the company decided they are going to recycle the book for you and you will not be getting paid. Customer service is a massive joke and essentially replays the automated message back to you without actually giving you the reason why your book was declined, just that it didn’t meet their “terms and conditions.” I seriously wonder how they are still in business as this seems to be a reoccurring issue among their previous users. To be perfectly honest, I will never use this service again and I strongly recommend others to not use it!! Look into your colleges that you bought it through for sell backs and then if it’s rejected, AT LEAST YOU GET YOUR BOOK BACK!!!!!!

this app has made it a habit to pay nothing for books they claim are damaged or the quote has expired without providing any pics to prove the damage even existed. They also do not send email explaining this to sellers or even allow sellers to pay shipping to return the so called rejected books. When you attempt yo buy those very items (they give you nothing for because of expired due dates) they are charging buyers astronomical prices for them and claim they don’t resell the books they refuse to pay you for or return. As far as I know they are the only company that does this. Even Bluerocketvbooks who is the second worst company to sell to doesn’t stoop this low
& I’ve been selling to these companies for years before I discovered you have to go back to your account and check on each order to discover they ripped you off the entire time.

A lot of my books they couldn’t find on there and they told me it was because only some of them were in the store or a lot of them are in the store and couldn’t take it or I was missing a number but a lot of my books I guess there was a lot in the store of them but anyways I scanned one of the books and it gave me $7.17 which is a pretty good deal to be honest and it was like something about like pool mystery but anyway a lot of them were also giving me $.39 and I was kind of upset with that because it was a really good book and we’re in really good condition so kind of upset about that that but other than that it was good

Great make some money on your old books right? WRONG. This company is shady. I submitted a box of books and the higher dollar books on the order were both conveniently not paid. One for condition and the claimed it had a missing cover….it didn’t. And then another that the offered me money on (offer claimed to be valid until the order was received) then they claimed the offer was expired. Since they were wrong about these 2 books I asked for them to be returned and I didn’t think either was outside of their terms. They said tough…our discretion. So they shorted my more expensive books and left me with a couple cents a piece for the other books I sent. Sell your books anywhere but here.

Scanned # of books and half were accepted. They offered me about 1/10th—1/20th of the original prices. So like 10 cents for a 10 dollar book. Ok, sure. Then after I sent my books and they processed them, my highest costing book was conveniently considered unacceptable (damaged cover?) even though I thoroughly checked all the books I sent. Add this to their policy of not returning books they’ve considered unacceptable.

Ziffit is great if you’re just trying to get rid of books without straight recycling them, and have time to scan and box and drop them off to a FedEx...and would rather not donate them. For me, I’m just going to donate my unwanted books from now on.

Having this on the phone is more convenient than doing this via the web form on my laptop. However, I found that the scanning function was very inaccurate. I noticed books that were being rejected were showing incorrectly on the phone. When I manually entered the number, it registered correctly. Went through my “successful” scans, found 1/3 of those were incorrect as well.

I recently learned about this app and am blown away with how awesome this service is. I sent them two large boxes of books mere days ago and have already had them processed and will receive payment soon. I highly recommend it.

I used Ziffit with caution sent in one order everything went great. Then did another shipment of 5 books, all in one package my books were reviewed and then paid out and i was only paid for 2 books while it said 3/5 were not received even though the books were all shipped in one package. Customer service has not emailed me back. Will not do business with them again

I need to $ I woke up and cleared my office of the many boxes of books. I took over eight hours scanning each in box and on the shelves....when I went to finally ship at FedEx the employees near TU TULSA UNIVERSITY now telling everyone. They don’t accept 30% of my books, and they don't give you much money, but I'll still give them 5 stars for doing something good for the planet. And Ziffit is very easy to use.

More instructions for a first time user would be helpful. Once I got it figured out it went fine. The requirement for $20 worth at a time made things more difficult.

I scanned and completed my trade - printed FedEx label and sent next day. Was received the following week. Still no paypal and they are wanting me to rate my trade ?
I think it must’ve been pretty good for them !
There is no way to track your payment in Ziffit either. Once you complete trade and print FedEx label that’s it ! No tracking on their end !
Gonna think twice before using this one again.

Scan the books, put them in a box, print the label, drop the box off at a fedex carrier. Wait for $$. It was deposited in my PayPal account within a week.

I’m giving one star only because it’s the lowest. The star should be negative. Company’s website won’t even let me write a review. Ziffit doesn’t specify we need to prepare packages or shipping boxes until completing the trade. It is likely that I’m going to lose money in the process. Retrospectively I’d rather donate my books. I regretted using the service with this app. Don’t use! Absolutely the worst!

I had scanned all my books and once I created an account it took more than half the money they said I would get away saying I had already sent them in and received payment. I’ve never heard of these people before and had just created an account so how would they have already paid me??? What a rip off! Plus out of 500 books they only would accept 5!!!! Like seriously?! DONT DOWNLOAD YOULL WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

In my opinion, the people running this company are a bunch of thieves. They pick and choose what books they deem as “rejected” so they can keep your books for free. The books they rejected so happen to be the most expensive ones. Its Funny how that works out so nicely for them. Nice little scam system they set up. Do not waste your time with this company.

I love Ziffit! Makes it so easy to make some extra money.
Only thing I would change is make receiving payment by check or in CashApp an option

I sent back $25 worth of unwanted books that had been collecting dust for years! And free shipping too!

Rejects almost every book and when it does accept it's rarely over $1. Hardly worth the effort.

Good for decluttering unwanted books. Not a lot of money back but better than Half Price Books.

I just shipped my first 4 boxes 2 days ago. Hope all runs smoothly!

Process was simple, easy and quick!

I enjoy trading with this app but I do feel that they are very picky about the books they accept and I have to work too long to gather $20.00 worth of books to sell or trade with them!!!!!!!!

I'm able to scan books but I can't go further than that. "A network error occured" message comes up - with spelling error. No help, no troubleshooting, no chat. Even google search doesn't bring helpful results.
