Company Name: Parkade, Inc.
About: Parkade reinvents how parking can work at private buildings, enabling parking to
be managed through an app.
Instead of property managers managing parking via
spreadsheets or paper leases, Parkade digitizes a building’s parking
operations and makes parking self-serve for tenants.

One of the biggest cons about living in my current building is that they contracted with this stupid app for resident and guest parking. I always follow procedures to book for my guests and honor the parking times and recently, my guest overstayed by accident (they ONLY email your parking expiration reminder, text not available - SHADY). We had to rebook twice due to other people not following reserving procedures/overstaying and they charged us $15 late fee when the car was moved and rebooked in another spot within 10 minutes of the second email that was sent.
I kindly asked for grace given that Im a resident and had to rebook this guest twice in a garage with horrible service and you have to basically snitch (take a photo of the car in the spot you booked and enter their license plate). They wouldnt budge and told me that $15 is a reduced late fee for residents because it’s usually $30. It’s ridiculous! I hope my building doesnt renew their deal with them.

My building outsourced their parking to parkade. I have never been more stressed out about parking. First they raised the rates by almost double at the end of our leases. Second they put me through 3 days of calling chargepoint for HOURS when they said it was a connection issue on my end when in reality it was because of parkade mislabeling and mis-assigning chargers. Their alternative during that time I couldn't charge was to have me PAY to RENT another parking spot. They never once offered me compensation after wasting 3 days until they found out what was the issue, and then had ME explain it to them. Do I work for Parkade and didn't know?
Now they have other cars using my charger so I can't charge. They wrote to tell me it was because cars can share chargers. Well why couldn't I share a charger at the time when I couldn't access any other chargers in the lot at all?

I’m so glad that now in the 2nd recession of my life this company thinks it’s ok to charge people to have visitors at their homes. Then on top of it, has no real way to remedy a problem that comes up, puts the responsibility on the residents. They have no way to communicate except over email to which I was patronized and given a condescending response when I was just trying to not have my friend towed or booted after paying for multiple reservations. If you want your residents to have to pay $50 for a weekend for their friend or family to visit, this is a great app! (But you’re an unethical business person). Which I also think Parkade is a very unethical business agenda and should not profit off of renters trying to enjoy their homes.
