App is not efficent

USAAPayAsYouDrive tracking is not efficient or reliable. USAAPayAsYouDrive automatically assumes that if you’re in a vehicle you’re the driver, and if you don’t consciously go to switch to being a passenger it will count towards your driving score and miles. Also being scored on whether your phone is in use or not while driving is unreliable. As a parent I give my child my phone when I’m driving when they’re throwing a fit. Because my phone is being used by a passenger I’m given a bad score, and there is no options to fix that. On top of that you’re also scored on the time of day that you drive. When or where I’m driving should NOT affect my score or policy. This application has too many offsetting factors that make it unreliable. My insurance rate should not be determined by an app that cannot determine whether my vehicle is in use or if I’m actually the driver.

Terrible insurance claims!

I’ve been with Noblr for 2 months and my car was stolen. Filing a claim has been a nightmare! It’s been a day since I filed and I still don’t have a claim number and I’m still waiting for a rental car!!! Reaching somebody is impossible. At first I was sent to voicemail but now when I call I get sent to a phone loop where I hear the same message repeatedly no matter which option I choose. I called customer service and they have no access to claims. They sent my information to a manager but I still have not had any contact regarding my claim. When I filed the initial claim the representative hardly spoke English and from what I could tell these people are just taking calls from their homes because a I could hear throughout my call was a dog barking and kids screaming in the background.

App Keeps logging me out

Update Mar 2024: My policy ends in April 2024. THANK baby Jesus. I can't wait to leave Noblr and find someone else who's services actually work as intended & described 😑
----------Update Jan 2024: USAAPayAsYouDrive STILL logs me out! My permissions are updated and it still won’t work. Is there a way for consumers to report companies/businesses when their digital/online products and services do not work as described/advertised? Yet you want us to pay for it. I’m not the only person experiencing this and it hasn’t been fixed. How is that fair or good business practice?? 😒

This is ridiculous

Guys be careful and do not ever apply this company. Don’t look at initial pricing what they offer. I cancelled my Geico policy for 30 dollars less monthly payment if I pay in full for 6 month which is if paid full (890$). After to month they send me another bill (~300$). And I was like : “WHAT???”. I paid in full what the hell is this? Called them they said that pricing was that much if you drive 5 miles a day, but I drove some long distance ( for ski). Thats why pricing changed for me. Anyway long story short: I cancelled my policy after 2 month and with the regular 10-15 miles driving they charged me 630$ for 2 month. That is ridiculous. I am back to Geico again and my monthly bill is again 180. So conclusion is don’t get amazed when they offer less initially.

Scam to bill you higher if they think you’re offline

USAAPayAsYouDrive is horrible. It’s basic and pathetic. I’ve been charged offline rates when all my permissions are on. Also when my husband and I are both in the car, we’re both charged for driving. This is unacceptable. I rarely drive but am a passenger all the time. We’re being charged offline rates and everything is properly on. They want to track everything you do. Also to get in USAAPayAsYouDrive my Face ID logs me in, then I get an email saying I’m logged out. Face ID is for security. USAAPayAsYouDrive needs 95% improvement. It’s terrible and don’t recommend it unless you want a company tracking you 24 hours a day.

Stay Away

First off - USAAPayAsYouDrive is misnamed. It should be called Gestapo not Be_Noblr. If you want to stay on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes, have all of your movement 100% policed, be ready for hidden charges resulting from being a passenger, riding a bicycle or having your phone off. God forbid you forget your phone (or the battery dies) and you are involved in an accident. Be ready for some serious headaches. Finally, the insurance is completely mispriced. How could changing the liability amounts change the fixed portion of the policy? That is completely ludicrous unless of course you possess hulk like strength and you can pick up your car and throw it onto someone….. of course accidentally.

Noblr is a scam

USAAPayAsYouDrive requires you to enable location settings 24/7, when you’re not driving, anywhere near a car, etc. It also takes it upon itself to assume you’re driving, even if you’re not, and will require you to manually reject all trips you were not driving during within 14 days. Otherwise, it’s claimed as mileage you drove.

The best part? If you turn off your location services (you know, so you’re not being tracked by your device, other apps, etc., and your data isn’t being collected needlessly), you incur a $105/day charge! The lion, the witch, and the unbridled AUDACITY of this company!!

Once you sign up, the company is rude, dismissive, and refuses to acknowledge how and why your data is collected.

Any savings you incur while using this program isn’t worth your privacy. If you do decide to keep it, turn off all of your other data collection/location settings so that they can’t access them.

USAA—I thought you were better than this. Shame on you.

Horrible

I have had noblr for a long time and when my policy renewed they doubled my per mile rate and added services I did not request or approve of. Not to mention they charge you a daily fee for being offline if your app logs out because it updated or you ran out of space on your phone. My bill went from $134 a month for full coverage to $202. No other insurance quotes me a policy that high. Do not be fooled but the initial prices. When I email them they only respond with a detail of my mileage and ask me to call to remove features I dont want but when I call nobody ever answers. I’m currently shopping for another policy elsewhere.

Not too impressed with the math…

USAA has always been a decent insurance company for me - since 1989.

But i recently switched to NOBLR - the USAA variable drive policy.

I was quoted $75 a month as a 6 month “fixed” rate, with a variable based on my driving applied above that at the end of each billing period.

Sounds reasonable. Six months (fixed) at $75 a month is $450, you would assume based on 3rd grade math.

But NOBLR charged $557, with a down payment of $185…THEN $75 a month for a 6 month policy. And when we do the 3rd grade level math it turns out NOBLR is actually charging $92 a month - NOT $75.

This is called - in the legal and advertising world - “bait and switch.” I was quotes a much lower price and at the very last second was billed the higher rate.

USAA is supposed to be affiliated with Our Military heroes, and not be dishonest, misleading, obfuscating, or unethical - and certainly not running a bait and switch, gaslighting, extra billing scheme.

Beware - i complained - they ignored. So beware of the level of dishonesty you will be wrapped up in working with igNOBLR!

Off-line Rates & App Automatically Shutting Down

I never turn off USAAPayAsYouDrive , but today alone, I had to manually log in because USAAPayAsYouDrive wasn’t running in the background. I have the latest version so there is no update available. I’m also receiving multiple emails about USAAPayAsYouDrive being offline and a letter stating that so would be charge an offline rate if I didn’t leave USAAPayAsYouDrive running! This seems like a programming error that needs to be corrected more than punishing the paying customer.

It ridiculous that we continually get emails saying USAAPayAsYouDrive is off line and you want to charge the daily rate! My settings are always correct and at least once a month I am required to send screenshots. You’d think Noblr could get this issue corrected because it’s very annoying and a waste of time. My rate is great because I don’t drive much, but that’s why I bought this insurance. I fear Noblr will stop operating because they aren’t making the money they envisioned. It’s to bad that money drives everything.

USAA-Really

June: No improvement in USAAPayAsYouDrive-it can not listen, reason or improve. I score it a 60.

We do Not control our driving Scores using USAAPayAsYouDrive. They do, without our individual circumstances built in. It is a game, you can't win. And, it isn't funny.

App fails to accept road locations are not under our control. I exit my neighborhood on the Only road available, go to a business 1/2-1 mile away-On This Same Road. Return; and receive a lower Score for using this road-instead of a highway. The road is named Hunt Highway.

Needs Work

My overall experience with USAAPayAsYouDrive has been positive; however, updating payment information is a pain. It allows you to scan your card or manually type in the information, but the update button doesn’t function; it just stays grey and is just there on the screen doing nothing. Then, their concierge service isn’t open 24/7, so one can forget about the convenience of information or help with USAAPayAsYouDrive at any time. It's a weird experience that leaves a bad impression.

Please fix changing payment information.

It doesn’t allow you to change payment information the button in the bottom does not light up even if all the information is correct.

Just completed my first 6 month policy

Thankfully have not had a claim so can’t speak to that experience, but everything from customer service to USAAPayAsYouDrive use has been exceptional. My rates are very competitive with better coverage and lower deductibles. The variable rate has been $0-$24 which has been a nice surprise! Will be renewing when my current noblr policy expires!

Amazing customer service!!!

Today my husband and I took our son to buy his first car off the lot. He’s been working hard and we all were extremely excited that he found one, finally. I called and added the car. It was sent to underwriting, but it being the day after not only the weekend, but also a holiday, they were backed up. Shanice, Jason, and Nestor were ABOVE AND BEYOND friendly, efficient, knowledgeable. Jason pushes the first request through and asked for expediency, while also explaining clearly enough that I had no question about what was going on. Nearer took my call about 40 min later and with the most courtesy sent another request for me. I spoke to Shanice and she went one step further and attempted to see if there was a way she could manually help us, and ultimately sent yet another request. Awhile later, my son was getting disappointed because the lot would close soon, I called again. Shanice answered the phone and spoke like it was the first time I called. They were all so patient. She offered to fax what we needed and as she did underwriting pulled through and got the policy done. Thank you ALL for the level of professionalism and courtesy. I left the last company solely because of their poor customer service. This was worth telling someone about and a relationship I’m excited about!

Easy to Use

App is very easy to use, seems accurate for the most part. List me as driver a couple time when in the vehicle with wife but easy to correct. Also can list you as driver when a passenger in another vehicle but again easy to change it so the information on your driving is accurate.

Great Rates

I have had Noblr for 7 months and I was worried about not really knowing what my payment would be each month. This company is HALF the rate of others. I feel I have ALWAYSPay too much for car insurance. My average rate was anywhere from $18-$1400 every six months with other companies- that’s for 2 vehicles (2009, 2002) full coverage on one and liability on the other. The first 6 months (and I am a very careful driver) I paid less than $900 for 6 months!!!
Someone mentioned that USAAPayAsYouDrive assumes you’re driving, but that is not true. USAAPayAsYouDrive DID get to know my driving habits and marked several drives as “I was a passenger on this trip” - After each drive is shown, YOU can change it to several options! I took an Uber not long ago, and it appeared that I was driving, I clicked on the drop-down menu and changed it to “I was using public transportation. My insurance rates are finally where they should be!!! Thank you NOBLR!!

Love it

Had this insurance since April and I saved over 90 dollars a month switching from Progressive for full coverage. I didn’t have medical payments, glass or roadside coverage with Progressive either. With Noblr I can actually afford insurance and I am completely protected it’s amazing that they include roadside assistance and glass coverage and it didn’t cost extra. Also love the fact that my rate reflects how I drive!! As a single mother everything counts and Noblr has helped tremendously. Customer service is also amazing for starters I can actually understand the person I am speaking with and they reach out to see how everything is working for you, answer any questions and they are extremely helpful.

Moved and found outstanding auto insurance

When I moved to Las Vegas my neighbors were telling me how extremely high their car insurance was. I had a little time left on my old auto insurance policy so I started to around for insurance. I remembered that USAA had mentioned insurance on home and auto…they moved me over to Nolbr and I am so glad they did.
