It seems that the developers of this system forgot that the most important feature is opening the door. This replaced an old Door King system on our building from the 90s. The Door King worked faster and better. It did not have a touchscreen or a camera, but it was possible to open the door. When someone calls you from the door with this AIPHONE IXG garbage, you have to navigate through several levels of menu items in order to open the door. After that, it takes 20 or 30 seconds to connect. Then, about 50% of the time the action to open the door fails. Delivery drivers tend to walk away rather than wait for this high-tech front-door iPad to let them in. I don’t even have time to go into the problems with the user interface of the system at the front door. Most people have trouble figuring out how to get in.
When someone calls in the camera feature doesn’t work and we are unable to see who is at our gate. AIPHONEIXG /system glitches all the time where it say you have a call you try to answer then it glitches and you lose the screen you were on and you are unable to get back to it. Also the previous older version we had we were able to force a call or override an existing call - unable to do that or have it even work right now
When I originally downloaded AIPHONEIXG I was able to open the door. I can’t even open the door anymore. They Need to work on the system.
Unfortunately I’m stuck using AIPHONEIXG because my building “upgraded” to AIPHONEIXG. It constantly has connection issues or is offline.
AIPHONEIXG stopped working on my iPhone. Error message says the microphone is disabled but there is no setting in AIPHONEIXG , or in my phone settings, to enable permissions for the microphone. My colleague with an iPhone reports the same.
It takes a long time for the video to load, leaving people waiting and waiting for you to respond to the buzzer.
Sometimes AIPHONEIXG doesn’t give me the option to open the door. The alarm continues to alarm long after I have opened the door when it does work
Cannot set up with multiple devices. Misleading as there are four channels given. The last device to set up seems to be prioritized and works while disabling all other devices/channels
Can you please fix AIPHONEIXG . It doesn’t work most of the time like 90% of the times it doesn’t work. It’s so bad what the heck
I wish apps were better vetted for setup and functionality. This one is awful. They should test it at their own home and experience how frustrating it is before putting out to the public.
Most of the time when I try to respond to the bell ringing it won’t let me open the door. It’s a lengthy process to even get to that feature. AIPHONEIXG desperately needs to be updated for these improvements. It has POTENTIAL to be reliable. Please fix this issue!!!
Not reliable, no delivery drivers know how this works or wait for the door to actually open. For some reason it only calls one person, if 2 people in one apartment have AIPHONEIXG it will only send calls to one of the user. Most of the time it doesn’t connect to the door to be able to unlock it
I regret “upgrading” our intercom system to this AIPHONE. It doesnt work 90% of the time. I had 20 rings today and it worked ONE TIME. The other 19 times I tried to use it AIPHONEIXG would not respond and give me all kinds of error messages.
Or it took 30-45 seconds for AIPHONEIXG to open. In this cold weather, no one wants to wait close to a minute and they end up walking away
AIPHONEIXG has to be the worst. I’ve had the unit over 2 years and keep having issues where my. Tenants can not open the door, see the video recording, speak or even access the system for themselves or guest. System keeps giving a communications error and is so slow to load or access. No it’s not a problem with internet or wireless load. It’s simply AIPHONEIXG feature is garbage. I’m thinking of getting rid of the system all together if the bug isn’t fixed soon.
Two people live in my apartment but only one phone can be connected to the doorbell at a time. When I try to re-register my phone the only option is to disconnect my roommates phone.
AIPHONEIXG used to be pretty quick to pick up when someone called from the door. It now takes a good 15 seconds to answer. The UI changed a bit, but none of that should warrant taking such a long time to answer.

Just had a new Aiphone system installed in our building. Had to buy a crazy expensive part, IXGW-GW is the part to get AIPHONEIXG to work. It works maybe 3 out of 10 times daily.
25 or 30% of the time, when the doorbell rings and I try to answer it, it doesn’t work. It’s kind of frustrating sometimes it’s just easier to run down and open the door.
