Auctor: Character Generator Reviews

Auctor is the best app I can use when creating putting my character information in and I would highly recommend it. It helps me come up with some ideas for more of their past. Especially since this one update that let me add more information about the character(s).The only problem is that I can edit the character info even after I save it, but not any of the challenges that are given. Other than that, again, I would FULLY recommend Auctor. 😊

I just downloaded it and I love the character creating I think it really gets you thinking about how you want your character. I just finished creating a lot of characters and I went to go make an outline for my story but it wouldn’t let me click it. I tried exiting Auctor and clicking it again but I wouldn’t let me. I would love to make an outline before I actually write my story. If the outline is for something else please let me know but other than that I LOVE Auctor!

You can use this for OC’s based off of shows you like, stories your writing, or to create your own world. My friend has used this for some time, and she uses it to document people in her life for writing purposes. I can’t think of anything I would want to change. It would be cool if it came with an avatar maker but I know how hard that can be so I won’t hold you to it.

Most of the one stars★ are just “ thing not work, fix (and they do, they just don’t reply)” or “I don’t like it, it didn’t work for me(to each their own)” which are quite old! The only twister that can pull people away is that you (should) get premium, witch you gotta pay for. [which make sence cause they need to make money somehow] and the subscription is only 2.99 (basically 3.00) a month!

Personally I think Auctor is great, it’s helped me make story’s that I never though I could make! It really made me better at writing and more confident ,:}
So I don’t see the Problem to having a way to support a app that has helped me a lot. (But I can see why people wouldn’t like it)

This is something that bugged me a little. but transgender isn’t a separate gender, and one of my characters are non-binary. And Auctor kept kicking me out before I saved... if those were fixed, I’d rate it higher.

The character can be made after, you add the story. you just have to click on the story, then the + at the bottom right.

Just wanted to say that I love that you’re being inclusive, but “transgender” isn’t a separate gender because trans women are women and trans men are men so I’d suggest getting arid of the drop down for “gender” and just making it fill in like “name” and “age” so that people can add whatever they’re comfortable with for their characters and this way specifics like “non-binary” are an option, too! Just a suggestion!

I really enjoy Auctor it helps me to store original concepts that I would either use or suspend until the time is right. I hope changes are made such as the editing and saving option. Every time I re-edit and save it, it sometimes never saved, it would help if a new update come by.

This is a very good format for character and book design, but I feel the forms should have more in-depth questions or something a long those line. I also think it should have a world building, government building or other similar things for those writing books that are not biased in the real world.

I have about 12 characters but only one picture of the character is visible and also my project picture I can’t see I try opening Auctor over and over but doesn’t work. I really love Auctor but pls fix this

This is the best free character generator app I've come across. It generates names, sex, catch phrases and some motivations for characters that can inspire you and gives you some options to edit that fields. The problem is that the fields that you change don't save on Auctor . If this feature is fixed, I'd bump it up a star. I would also bump up another star of the navigation was more intuitive.

I wish the developer would offer premium with a lifetime option. Or maybe some of the premium features as a one time payment. They may get more financial support that way.

I love Auctor but when you added the premium to Auctor it ruined it .like and when making characters theirs a option to add a picture but it doesn’t work I tried multiple times but still it doesn’t work.I understand the premium thing but we should be able to make more books than just to with or without premium I hope you can take my thoughts in consideration

This was always an okay app, but since the recent update, it’s been fantastic! The current overall rating doesn’t match yet. I highly recommend Auctor.

It was working wonderfully, it really does help, and it reminds me to make some coffee, but, after the new update, I can’t get past the loading screen, I have no idea what’s going on, but Auctor deserves a 4-star review anyway :)

It’s so awful and I can’t understand half the things they are saying. For example: Or he just want to survive. Or another example: Now, finally the person he knows it’s here. you will include his friend into the conversation or he will be happy that finally there is somebody to talk to.

I would rate it higher, but once you save a character, you can’t change it! It has most of the relevant information needed to build a character, but I need to be able to change my character! Please fix this feature!

Auctor is great and I love it! But it only lets me make so many characters and so many projects. It’s sad this makes me not want to us it since in the future I have to get rid of a old project since I have a apple iPad under parents account

I really love Auctor for keeping track of my characters! Only thing is my pictures of the characters are no longer visible and I can't add a new picture.

I’m frustrated that there’s no way to contact anyone to get help. I need to purchase premium but it only allowed the download on my phone but not on my iPad. I’ve already done 5 chapters but now I can’t purchase premium. If the developer could make a way to contact them it would be great! Otherwise I’ll have to copy and paste to Wattpad.

It’s just what I expected, no scam or anything. I love it because I want to write stories and Auctor helps a ton with character building and story writing. If you like writing I 100% recommended Auctor!

I really do like Auctor I just which there was a way to recover work because I got a new phone because me old one stopped working so now I have to start my characters / plot from scratch. Overall Auctor is very good :)
